I Grandi Successi Originali as sung by Claudio Villa are great . This singer has a natural ability of interpreting these songs in a unique manner , so pleasing to the ear , also so sentimental . His diction and his style are perfection . I own CDs and records sung by this artist , and they never lose their ability to enchant me . His rendering of Neapolitan songs is musical perfection . I own over 300 songs sung by this artist ,for me they never lose their magic.

I CAN'T SAY THAT I PERSONALLY LISTENED TO AND LOVED THIS ALBUM, BUT IT DID COMPLETE MY FATHER'S CHRISTMAS VERY DELIGHTFULLY. HE IS IN HIS MID-SIXTIES AND MOVED TO AMERICA FROM SICILY IN THE 1950'S. I COULD SWEAR I ALMOST SAW A TEAR IN HIS EYE WHEN HE SAW WHAT SONGS WERE ON THIS CD! FOR THE LAST 2 DAYS IT HAS BEEN NON-STOP CLAUDIO VILLA, HE'S SUNG ALONG TO EVERY SONG ON THIS ALBUM! I DON'T KNOW MUCH ABOUT ITALIAN MUSIC, ESPECIALLY FROM THE ERA THESE RECORDINGS WERE MADE, BUT IF YOU ARE A BIG FAN OF CLAUDIO VILLA'S MUSIC, I THINK THIS MAY BE THE ONE YOU WANT TO PICK UP!

A beautiful voice from Italy with a beautiful repertoire which includes some classics, featuring at least three ones I recomnmend enthusiastically as if I were an Italian:
- her extraordinary rendition of 'Senza Fine', the original one with that delicious accordion;
- the theme from film 'Anonimo Veneziano' ("Anonimous Venetian"), titled 'Cuore Cosa Fa'; and
- the beautiful song 'Che Cosa Ce'.

Though I am not a fan of compilations, I recommend this one because it is very hard to find Ms. Vanoni's original albums from Italy.

If you are looking for the sensual voice that kicked off Ocean's 12...you have found her. L'appuntamento is actually a Brazilian song that was immortalized in Latin America by Roberto Carlos. Italian is a beautiful language and this is a groovy, sensual way to immerse in it....don't get me wrong I am sure Pavarotti appeals to some people? If you like it, I also recommend Roberto Carlos who has a few bang up hits like Detalhes & Un Gato en la Oscuridad.

Si esta buscando la voz sensual que abrio la cinta "Ocean's Twelve"....ya la encontro. Si se fijan bien se daran cuenta que L'appuntamento es la version italiana de la cancion "A la Vera del Camino" imortalizada por el brasileiro Roberto Carlos, y cantada por todo mundo y su abuela.

El idioma italiano es muy bello y este album is una forma muy divertida pare compartirlo y admirarlo.

The universe Italian of female singers in the sixties was impressive . There were literally a real supermarket choice of pleasant voices. From the far incursion of american female singers captivated by the Mediterranean Muses such as the greatest Connie Francis the best American singer who made unforgettable and overwhelming works with that special and beauty cantabile voice to Petula Clark (Ciao, ciao) you also should remember those names : Rita Pavone , Orieta Berti , Patty Bravo , Mina , Milva , Nada , Iva Zanicchi , Catherine Caselli, Vilma Goichi , and obviously Ornella Vanoni .
She had a special charm , personality, charisma , presence and a clinical eye and a special taste to choose the right and heartfelt song and best inspired from the bottom of her heart ; more than singing she seemed to live every song .
Io ti daro'di piu ,Casa Bianca , Mi piaci , mi piaci , Cercami , Abbracciami forte , Tuuta la gente del mondo , but the her most immortal themes in ascendent order were to my mind : Una ragione di piu and curiously it doesn't appear in this album this giant theme : Un'ora sola ti vorrei .
Please my appreciated reader , acquire this CD and get close to one of the most prominent and expressive voices of the Italian canzone ever .

Beautiful voice, beautiful performances........2005-09-13

Nicola Di Bari renders these songs with taste and sensibility, using his rich voice to full effect. He seems to have a special place in his heart for the songs of Luigi Tenco. Di Bari's take on Tenco's classic "Ho Capito Che Ti Amo" is alone worth the price of this must-have collection. I find myself playing that track over and over to savor Di Bari's subtle phrasing. He is especially effective with transitional, lines that are half-spoken, giving them an almost parenthetical character. All technical analysis aside though, it is a moving, unforgettable performance.

Si, es un album doble, pero sucede lo mismo de siempre, son prácticamente las mismas canciones de todos los albumes de recopilación de Nicola di Bari. La discografía de este artista es muy vasta, sus éxitos son muchos, ¿porqué en un album doble no existen otras canciones?
Los fans de Nicola estamos condenados a tener 10 o 20 albumes que en total tengan 30 o 40 canciones de él, ¿y las demás?
Este album enriquecería mi colección con dos canciones.
Propongo que se edite una colección de Nicola di Bari en 5 o 6 CDs sin repetir canciones como en México han hecho con artistas como Juan Gabriel y José José.
Pero para quien quiere descubrir a Nicola Di Bari, este es uno de los mejores albumes, y para ellos la recomendación de que lo compren inmediatamente...¡no se arrepentirán!

Wonderful "singable" Italian music.......2007-02-23

This is my first CD by Sergio Endrigo and I love it. His voice is nice, the music is slow enough that you can actually understand the lyrics and sing along. Therre is a nice variety of music on this CD, and I especially like "Ci Vuole Fiore" which is a song sung with children, but is fun for adults,too. I strongly recommend this CD.
