Album Description

¡Revolucion! Is UL's debut studio album, teaming the all-star band up with members of Spearhead, Sambada and Youssou N' Dour. It was released on January 15th of 2005, and the record is already recieving airplay in California as well as international airplay in Mexico, Cuba and Israel. The bands eclectic blend has been called " a tasteful cross between Ozomatli and Zap Mama." The last track on the album, Colorblind, is sung in Hebrew and Arabic bringing a message of Unity and hope to the Middle-East. The title track features phenomenal beatboxing and vocals by Spearhead's own Radio Active and samples from sub-comandante Marcos, leader of the Zapatista movement. This is music with a message to move you mind body and soul.

Modern Groove Syndicate is flat out one of the tightest and most interesting bands around. If they got some gigs opening for bands like Soulive, MMW, or some of the other finer genre-bending bands, they could really break out big. Buy the album if you know what's good for you.

Modern Groove Syndicate's CD is smooth power with a funky, rattling groove that gets in your bones and makes 'em jump. If this CD doesn't get you movin', better check your pulse. Great for adventurous listening.

I believe this guys to have the most incredable sound ever. The quialty of sound on this album is crazy good. These guys are incredable musicians, their sound on the cd and live is really full and thick and incredablly smooth. All the instruments fit together so beautifully and it creates the most amazing sound i have ever heard. The punches in their music are my favorite part, it gives me that funny feeling inside. I recommend this mad highly becuase it is just a incredable cd.
