Only all 80's compilation.......2006-11-07

This is the only one made with nothing but 80's hits. And some odd ones to picked. Not really all was singles. Yet its interesting one hasnt been remade and she already has a 1000 greatest hits out already.

On their first try, this shows why they're Divas! Starting off their career, these four voices give this cover of the SAW/PWL classic such a vibrance and character that it's already reached top spots on the Australian music charts and club playlists. What makes the Diva's version so incredible is that these four ladies--Emily Williams, Ricki Lee Coulter, Paulini, Kate DeAraugo--have the amazing vocal range and harmonize together in such perfect sync.

Furthermore, as each voice give a unique flavour to the track, not one voice overpowers the others. It's as if the SAW-PWL/Donna Summer classic is a perfectly designed composition that suits these four voices so very well.

Next, the arrangement and instrumentation behind the ladies complements the foursome so well that it gives this song a whole new mosaic that flawlessly carries the classic over into a whole new generation of dance music sound and fusion.

As Donna Summer ignited this fire, the Divas have made certain that this club anthem is immortalized throughout the 21st century!

New York City-based group 4 by Four hit the scene in 1987 to a lukewarm reception. The album had very little fanfare, as the group came off as a cross between New Edition and the Jackson 5, but couldn't hold their own with either of them. The disc featured tracks of basically meat-and-potatoes rehashes (e.g., they mostly all sounded alike), but had a moderate slow-jam "turntable hit" in Come Over, which received great late-night quiet-storm play mainly because it was written by then-Ready for the World lead singer Melvin Riley, Jr. A close listen to this track reveals the lead singer attempting to moan and croon just like Riley. After this album, they were never heard from again, and rightfully so. They just did not have the musical tools to be viewed as anything but a novelty. However, if you can find this cd, it now commands a high price. Thankfully, I bought mine when it first came out.

i love 4 by four i remeber come over and the video i love that group an tha cd. its for the young at heart. it came out in the late 80;s with guy and some more fav groups.
