About the Artist
Arising from the embers of the once prominent and now resurging Chicago Electro/EBM scene come the youthful duo known as PTI. Consisting of Eric Dusik and Phil Fox, the duo has been refining their sound and redefining a style of Electro/EBM dance music that has dominated the scene since late 90s. PTI's dual vision melds flawlessly to create a sound that walks a fine line between beauty and something a whole lot harder.

Shared vocal responsibilities complement PTI's diverse sonic palette, the two distinct sounds coming together in a fit of energy reminiscent of such acts as NCC or Front 242. PTI's debut EP, SOS, provides the listener with only a glimpse of what this band has to offer. Hard hitting tracks like "Icons" and "*.Core" are guaranteed to get your energy flowing and pack dance floors across the globe while tracks like "Under the Radar" and "To the Sky" show a more melodic diversity. To round off this stellar debut, PTI has enlisted the help of Assemblage23, cut.rate.box and Dubok to create their own interpretations and manipulations of "T.unnel V.ision," "Alysium" and "Smoke." A very unusual but wonderful album.......2000-12-01

This album is amazing. It's really too bad that it is currently unavailable and I hope it will be back soon, so everyone else can discover her unique sound. The closest that I can think of to her, right off the top of my head, would be The Eurythmics, with maybe a little Sarah McLachlan, but even then, not completely. She has very much, her own sound, and a beautiful voice mixed with hypnotic music, makes this cd a must. A very unusual album, made more so by the wonderful 'Wakerife Waltz' with its German/English lyrics and tuba, it defies categorization. Highly recommended.

Amazing vocals on all of her CD's. Sweet Exhaust is the ultimate head trip. She seems to explore surreal emotion, but I somehow can understand her. Miss Rocket is the newest one. It is more down to earth, but the basic emotion is still there, just more understandable. Her other ones that I have are very hard to get ahold of though.

She can be compared to Kate Bush and Sarah McLaughlan, but more unique and classified as alternative music. I really think she has potential if you just buy her CD and find out for yourself. You wont be disappointed.

Don't become her biggest fan, because she already has one............ME :-)

TC and Robin Moulder came into this endeavor not really knowing what they were in for. Upon first hearing this record, I listened with the intentional sterility of a critic- jotting down notes about each track as I went through. I brought it in the car with me. I missed a turn and drove through a neighborhood I did not know very well. I felt like I was in a movie. It occurred to me that I should really be driving a sleek black automob. and wearing dark sunglasses. I had the music loud and i could hear all of the little background sounds and layers that I didn't catch the first time. At points, I felt a little frightened. especially during the interludes, thus making me appriciate them even more, as they are a necessity if not only for the sole purpose of being extremely unnerving. If I were going to write a horror movie, The Chrome Recordings would be the soundtrack. If I were going to write a love story, I'd turn it into a rock opera that is this record! It is packed with incredible examples of vocal layering, gorgeous guitar and bass lines, killer beats, and fantastic breakdowns that set the tone for issues of death, obsession, lonliness, self-acceptance, abuse, strength, and other situations that are addressed within the spectrum of the album. It's been a long time since I have felt such a huge range of emotions while listeneing to a single record. Robin Moulder and TC have proven not only to be phenominal musicians on the cutting edge of their profession, but also very real and kind-hearted individuals who are willing to give back to thier supporters. They have managed to keep it together while living halfway across the country from eachother and holdinghas just now totally derailed the mainstream of jewelcases as we know it. I look at my CD collection and mourn the symmetrical monotony of all the cracked and scratched plastic. The covers don't even stay on anymore! The Chrome Recordings is one CD, case and all, that you won't let slide under the seat of your car. Dance party to makeout session, this record will not only make you the envy of all your friends, it'll get you laid!

Okay so we all know what happened to Jessicka and I'm sure you might love or hate Scarling. give or take a few clear hearts and grey flowers. But whatever happened to Agent Moulder?

Well wonder no more. Welcome to TCR, Agent Moulder's NEW BAND! But please don't expect any of that little girl voice that you heard with Jack Off Jill. Presenting Ms. TC Smith! A voice that sounds like the love child between Ms. Tairrie B of My Ruin and Janis Joplin. This girl has rawness and poetry all in one sweet pill to swallow.

If you're into My Ruin, Otep, Babes in Toyland, Hole, and Nine Inch Nails well then you've come to the right place, my dear Chrome Baby.

Just close your eyes, open your mind, keep all appendiges in at all times and let TC Smith and Robin Moulder take you for a ride on the raw side.....

Two incredibly talented women came together to record one of the most brilliant albums I've heard in years.

I've bought plenty of music on this site and was recommended this album by a friend. I really enjoy the feel of the album, and the pace of the album is great. Make sure to listen to it in order as it flows much better the way the artist setup the tracks. I particularly enjoyed -Miss Mina's Diary Interlude- and Depth Perception(Metho.D. Remix), tracks 5 and 12.

I'll admit, all around, this compilation isn't too great. I totally back the idea of compilations, I'm a big fan of that. If you're a fan of MxPx, it's ideal that you should pick this up. Even though 'Lifetime Enlightenment' is on Let It Happen, this is the unedited original version, which I like much better than the Let It Happen cut. This disc also has a Cootees track available no where else. So try and pick this up. The Ghoti Hook track isn't so bad either.

Buy the self titled albumn first...........2002-11-02

In my opinion Exhaust are the best of the Godspeed you black emporer spinoff bands. Their self-titled debut is one of my favorite albumns at the moment. It has its honoured place in that little stack of 5 or so CDs that never seems to leave the small space of bench next to the CD player. So you can imagine my excitement when I found this: a new CD by Exhaust!

Unfortunatly this albumn is not nearly as good.

The diversity of industrialised sounds, rock, techno, hip hop and Jazz from the first albumn are toned down in favor of a more ambiant sound. You know that low ominous sound at the begining of "a history of guerrilla warfare" on the first albumn? well that runs pretty much all the way through this one. The atnosphere works, but the songs almost never shift of out second gear. Maybe Labradford fans will like it more than I do.

Gone also are the political samples of IRA leaders and the like. What gives? they were kind of cool.

Enregistreur is good, but not a patch on the first one.
