Very Niiiiice!! (2002 remix).......2002-04-09

I must give this title a re-review, This compilation contains some of the hardest trance tracks ever!! With tracks from the German Overdose record label, as well as tracks from other hard trance labels. All put together and mixed flawlessly by THE greatest trance dj EVER, Scot Project!! For those of you still commercially minded, forget Oakenfold and Digweed. This 2 disc set Will change your taste in trance as far as djs are concerned, guaranteed! But the only thing that detracts from this compilation is Dj Hypetraxx making little comments during the mix. Also, the second factor that detracts from the overall score is the level of "darkness" found on the discs. There are a few tracks that are VERY dark, such as Acid Nightmare, Angel of death, Pushin', Warrior, While the rest are more hard and melodic. But for those who are truly into the REAL dark trance should pick up some Dj Myth I-S mixtapes available only through mail order. OR pick up the ultimate dark trance cd called Chaos in the mix, mixed by Marc La Cruz (the ultimate dj behind the darkest of dark trance label, Chaos Records) Available at your local HMV or Import shop.

Great hard trance.......2002-01-08

I would call it hard progressive trance-It's a great cd mixed by scot project, I left out a star because it had some uplifting progressive trance in it which I hate. To coutner the uplifting stuff are some freakin tight acid tracks with sick 303 sounds and pounding bass lines. CD 1 stands out more than cd 2 cause in my opinion it seems more energetic. If you like hypnotic dark trance you might want to pick up oliver leib's black album, Commander Tom live in the mix series (mor technoish) and Chris Liberator or mellow trax cds for you Acid heads. All three of these dj's/producers have live mixes out there which I highly suggest you find and download.

This one is definitely the best of the series! Because now you have Scot Project in the mix!! Very HARD, uplifting, and somewhat "dark". Some tracks definitely push to the max level of dark such as ASYS Acid Nightmare, Jay Frog Pushin', and my personal fave Angel Of Death. Now if Hypetraxx would've done us the favor and shut the hell up, this would've been the perfect trance compilation EVER! But oh well, he doesn't speak often, just in the beginning of the discs. Even when you listen to internet radio mixes you can hear the djs speak and make comments. Doesn't really bother unless they just keep rambling on. But all in all it's a very well put together compilation. Scot Project is the man behind Overdose Records, Germany. One of the best hard trance labels in the world!!! And he showcases his skills on the discs. Check him out live! Enjoy.
