Editorial Reviews
Product Description
Acoustic Chill 2 has been compiled by internationally renowned DJ, producer and BBC Radio 1 DJ, Chris Coco and follows on from exactly where its critically acclaimed predecessor left off joining the dots between the analogue and digital and showcasing mellow, acoustic driven songs that offer a warm, much needed alternative to the iciness of other chillout compilations.
The album features the most exciting artists from both sides of the electronic/acoustic divide, mixing the mellow moments from great rock bands such as The Dandy Warhols, Gorky's Zygotic Mynci, Doves and Headway with up and coming acoustic acts such as Devics, The Tenderfoot and Bear Skin Rugs. The track listing swings from the Latin vibes of Afterlifes mix of Chris Cocos Hazy Lazy, and The Bees mix of HardKandys Summer Of 95 through to hip hop by G Love and Special Sauce and alternative country from the likes of Lambchop.
There are also a number of exclusive tracks on the album, including a beautiful ditty by The Beautiful Souths co-frontman Dave Hemingway and an unreleased mix of Doves New York by Chris Coco himself. Acoustic Chill 2 has broken the mould by selecting two CDs worth of stunning tracks from an array of acts unlikely to be seen together on any other compilation.
