Stadium Techno Experience.......2007-05-17
I received the product which I have to ask in time indicated.
the stadium techno experience is an epic.......2006-01-25
This album is truly meant to be heard as 1 whole piece. Scooter have also got rid of the stereotype of this type of music only being made to be played in clubs and when or if a band like "this" tours for their albums they can only play small rinky dink clubs. So yeah they also picked a perfect name for this album as they are a techno band that plays stadiums sometimes. Buy this album it is their best album thus far as well as the greatest album ever made thus far!!!!!! Who knows if scooter will ever top it or any other band for that matter.
The Stadium Techno Experience - Scooter at their best!.......2005-09-26
Of all the albums that Scooter has released, "the Stadium Techno Experience" definitely stands out as one of the best. It has twelve tracks of purely awesome music. While it's not exactly as musically profound as Beethoven, it really does make you want to get up and start moving around. This album has a great mixture of diverse songs in the techno/trance genre, and all flow smoothly from one to the other. Luckily, H.P. Baxxter's lyrics aren't too dumb on this album, either. There isn't one track on here that I wouldn't give up, because they're all so good! This is one of those rare examples of an album where you can hit the play button and not have to skip any tracks.
IGNITION: This opening track, like "Killer Bees" on "Mind the Gap" isn't really a techno song, but is the sound of a machine starting up followed by a voice that says, "Ignition sequence start." Then a full scale choir and orchestra bust out for a few seconds before becoming "technoized" and leads into the next song.
MARIA (I LIKE IT LOUD): This song is pure fun. The MC (H.P. Baxxter) sings along to the catchy, staccato beat, and the crowd is singing along. I like this track along, and the singing isn't too bad.
WEEKEND!: I absolutely love this song, and I think any other normal person would agree with me that this is one of the best songs on "The Stadium Techno Experience". This hit single has some interesting lyrics, and features one of those high-pitched voices singing about love. The melody is taken from "Stop! In the Name of Love", but it sounds about a hundred times better on this song. It also has a great piano accompaniment in the background.
TAKE A BREAK: The fourth track on "The Stadium Techno Experience" is very catchy. The synthesizer melody is really cool, and sounds like some Irish folk tune, and the snare drum playing gallantly in the background is great too. This is one of the better songs on this album, although I have to say they're all pretty good.
PULSTAR: This song is taken from a tune by Vangelis (who wrote the award-winning score to Chariots of Fire). Scooter takes Vangelis's signature electronic keyboard song and turns it into a techno song. It's a faster, groovier version of the original. The only thing that ruins this song is Scooter's addition of these super-cheesy lyrics sung by some annoyingly high-pitched electronic voice. Apart from that, this song is still great.
THE NIGHT: This is one of my favorite Scooter songs. The beginning of the song has the typical Scooter keyboards playing, with H.P. Baxxter doing his thing. Then, out of nowhere, a beautiful voice comes in, singing the main melody. Even though it's electronic, this is one of the few songs I've heard with a high-pitched voice where it actually sounded really good. Maybe this is because of the actual instrumentation of the piece, but who cares, because it sounds absolutely wonderful. The lyrics aren't that bad either. This is a very typical Scooter song.
ROLL BABY ROLL: "Roll Baby Roll" is a decent track, and what really makes this song nice is the happy hardcore piano that plays during the MC's riffs. The electric melody sounds a bit like another Vangelis song, but it's all Scooter's own creation.
LEVEL ONE: This is a "non-live" trance song, and it's one of my favorite dance songs without words. It starts of quiet with a small chorus in the background, and has some organ play a few notes before the song busts out into the main melody, which is complete greatness. It really reaches out to your emotions if you need something to listen to before a race, basketball game, or other sporting event. "Level One" is a good pump-up song.
LIKE HYPA SAID: This is my FAVORITE SCOOTER SONG OF ALL TIME! Although it's my favorite for personal reasons, it still is one Scooter's best. It blends all the typical elements of Scooter into one, nice six-and-a-half minute package of pure beauty. It starts off with percussion, and then goes into the usual techno beat with Baxxter yelling his lyrics with a very nice instrumentation in the background. Then the beat stops, and you hear chords in the back with some keyboard playing these really amazing arpeggios. Then, a chorus comes in, with somewhat stellar lyrics, and sings this beautiful harmonic solo, followed by some great techno melody, and repeats a couple of times. I love this song, I will always remember it. This was the first Scooter song I ever heard, and it's still my favorite. Even if it is for personal reasons, it's still great.
LIQUID IS LIQUID: This is probably the worst song on the album, but it's still very good. It's a bit repetitive, and I can't understand the lyrics. The electric organ playing along with the beat is good, too.
A LITTLE BIT TOO FAST: This song is really groovy, and doesn't have much singing, but is still fun to listen to. I don' know how to describe it, but the song speaks for itself. He bass is really great in this song.
SOUL TRAIN: The closing track on this album is another lyric-less trance song, and it's very similar to "Level One" in terms of orchestration. It uses the same elements of sound, but with a different melody. It uses the same instruments, but "Soul Train" is very pleasing to the ear.
I highly recommend this album to all techno fans, and it's worth the outrageous price. This album works so well because all the songs are diverse and yet they still manage to blend excellently with one another. This is definitely one of Scooter's best albums of all time, and I am surprised my CD still functions properly because I have played it so many times.
