Slammin' Progressive Trance.......2001-08-07

Though permanently scarred from most of the ... progressive trance in the Global Underground series (save Darren Emerson's Uruguay and Sasha's Ibiza), I thought I might give Progressive another chance. And wow, was I impressed! I had heard two tracks previously on other compilations: Stage One's Space Manouevres (Northern Exposure: Expeditions) and MRE's The Deep Edge (Sasha's Ibiza). I was hoping to find similar creative pieces of progressive trance. This trance is truly exciting and never lapses into dullness as it does so many times in a lot of other progressive trance. From the ethereal vocal tracks of Katcha's Touched by God, to the odd Movin' Thru Your System samples to the brilliantly composed classic Space Manouveres, this cd is brilliant.

Classic Progressive House Album...Indeed.......2001-05-22

Writing a review that's 2-3 years late, it'll do greater justice to this album by adopting a retrospective approach. Indeed, some of the tracks in this album may have passed their "sell-by" dates. However, for those who have been in the progressive house scene for the past few years, this album tugs at your heartstrings, evoking vague images of those high paced crazy club nights.

CD 1 kicks off with Jark Prongo's Wave 2081, warming you up with what's to come. The cool and smooth sounds of Space Manoeuvres' Stage One (Seperation Mix) oozes with a quality of unparalleled eminence. And watch out for that highly addictive and groovy melody of Three Drives' Greece 2000 (Miro Vocal Version).

CD2 sets forth on the holy grail of tech house. This percussion driven set (definitely not for the weak kneed's!) dishes out a nonstop pumping session to the stripped down and stretched out drum and beats of the Peace Division mix of Katcha, Slackers' Movin Thru' Your System and Medways' Resurrection.

It's a definite classic and a great warm-up set for a long, hard night out at the clubs.

A few good Hooj Tracks.......2002-02-01

For how much I paid here... I think I got jacked. Groovetech had it for half the price, but having it in stock is a whole nother issue. I think there are definately a few good tracks on each CD, but I would have been better off just buying them seperately. Many of the songs border on the edge of GOA Trance sometimes. I would have also prefered that the tracks were not mixed together... makes me feel like I just bought some bootleg mixed DJ CD.

this cd is absolutely, positively the phattest cd on the planet.Both cds are incredible and if your into the progressive trance scene, you can't pass this one up. If you do, i feel very sorry for you because this cd is one of the best out there.

the buggiest disk i've heard.......1999-10-22

the first disk is just incredible. the second disk has a few good tracks on it, but it doesn't compare. a definite must have for anyone into progressive trance.
