Customer Reviews:

5 out of 5 stars The Godfather of Deep Tech-House.......2002-06-29

This was my very first TLB album, picked up early in my search for the deep-house/tech-house sound. I now own all 5 Terry's Cafe albums, in addition to the fact that this album, more than any other, made me go out and buy a pair of tables and become a DJ. I now spin Terry's music all the time.

TLB, along with other visionaries such as the Timewriter, G-Pal, and Pat Foosheen, consistently lay down nothing but the best in deep, dark, enveloping stereophonic house, a sound you can feel more than hear.

Terry's picks are outstanding, with the Timewriter's sweepingly beautiful remix of the Ananda Project's anthemic "Glory Glory," the one-two punch of mesmerizers "New Life" by Drainpipe and
"Anyway From You" by G-Pal, Plastic City regulars The Kelly Project's "Home at Last," and an excellent selection in the form if Hi-Lo's "Blow Out Connection." The mixing is utterly smooth and seductive, leaving you craving for more by the time the album is over.

If you dig this kind of house, do yourself a favor and start a vinyl collection... trust me, there's enough stuff out there to blow your mind every day for years. Peace.
