I've been a big fan of E.D. Swankz and Telefuzz/The Verbrilli Sound (same person) from the Water Music Records compilation sets I own. I bought "Headlands - Deepdown tempos Vol. 02" used. This baby really is worth 10x more of what I paid for it. These guys have a way of making beautiful music that makes you feel good, sexy, funky, melanchonic and invigorated. Every song on here will have and keep your attention! Throw it on for gatherings or when chillin' with your boo! A Must Have!

An excellent compliation. The "riffling in the netherworld" song by the Verbrilli Sound is my favorite headphone song these days but there is not a weak track on the entire CD. Get it while you can - I've tried to get Vol 1 and have yet to find it.

I've been pretty faithful to select group of labels, Pork Recordings being my favorite....It's been well over 4 years since I have run into a label that offered a constant stream of "amazing" music for my ever so picky ears. Well, that was until I head this album...Trust me the goods do not end here...This label is absolutely amazing.

This CD was love at first listen..The cover art of this album is what caught my attention first. I hate to say I have favorites but there are defiantly favorites on this CD..# 4 Gazebo and # 8 Shampoo Idols are remarkable.

# 1 Daytime Dramamine will start your journey off immediately by capturing you and placing you in a the most comfortable groove imaginable.

Something for everyone, Downtempo-Nu-Jazz- Deep House...Offering layers of textures & sounds all organically modern yet maintaining a class of it's own, Headlands Deepdown tempos Vol. 02 is defiantly one of my favorite albums.

Recommended for the purest of music lovers.

If smooth beats in an eclectic atmosphere ala Kruder & Dorfmeister, Tosca & Pork Recordings is your bag then be sure to purchase this CD from Vancouver BC's Upstairs Recordings. The sound has similarities to those listed above but overall it's completely Upstairs Recordings own sound and completely fresh. Highly recommended!
