5 out of 5 stars Easily amongst the best of the Progression Sessions albums.......2004-04-15

Bukem's collection of interchangeable, but extremely accomplished progression Sessions albums have yet to produce a dud. Although this effort, featuring the vocals of not only usual mainstay `MC Conrad', but vocalist/MC DRS. Who as an vocal accompaniment to Conrad's highly professional freestyle rhymes mixed with innovative dialogue work fantastically well on anything he usually features on, but the simultaneous vocal word and carefree freestyles and experimentation in their delivery is easily amongst the best in these (admittedly excellent) progression sessions albums. Bukem holds up the DJ end of things tremendously, as he works intelligent breakbeat, jazz-fusion Drum `n' Bass, rhythmic jungle breaks & electronica in one coherent mix, keeping the consistency between tracks seamless, and as such one track smoothly blends into another (whether you consider this to be a good or bad thing will depend on your personal preference), it's the remarkable transitions & polish of his sets that truly impress and have amassed Bukem such a devoted following, and judging by the craftsmanship by all three individuals involved (Bukem, Conrad, DRS), it's completely justified.

Although as utterly brilliant as this, and the majority of the Progression sessions albums are, I have to strongly recommend that those new (or fairly new) to Bukem's work, would be extremely well advised to purchase Bukem's seminal "Logical Progression" album that had such a far reaching audience outside intelligent Drum `n' Bass fans that it is a required purchase for anyone that enjoys this genre of music. But dealing with the album at hand, this progression sessions album ranks amongst the best and is almost certainly justified a 5 star rating.

This album is two discs, the first one is a live concert of Intense feat. MC Conrad and DRS. The second disc is a LTJ Bukem mix of hard to find GLR tunes. The first disc is phenomenal! Intenses is a live drum and bass act that has live sax, drums, bass, guitar, keyboards, and two MC's. One of the must have CD's of this year.
