5 out of 5 stars Great CD to relax.......2004-04-02

I really like the Hotel Costes series, but at the same time I'm not that high on Cafe del Mar except for the first two CD's in that series. Joia beats all of them. Fantastic compilation of tracks, that are all designed to make you relax and enjoy a broad range of multi-cultural musical flavors. Here's the tell-tale sign that this CD is a winner:
Most of the people that are visiting us (most of them wouldn't consider themselves to be chill-out fans) inquire about the CD when it's playing. One look at the sexy cover is all it takes for them to seal the deal.
My favorite track is the title track called Joia. You can't go wrong with this CD. Enjoy...

4 out of 5 stars Chill out everywhere.......2002-06-08

I am not a big fan of Chill Out albums. By that I mean that I do not keep track of who has done the best selection and I do not find the need to remember the actual names of the songs and the performers.

However, I like to work listening to music. And up to today, I though that the Cafe del Mar series, and especially Cafe del Mar #2 were the best CDs to listen to while programming. Yesterday though a friend gave me Joia as a present, and now it is permanently added to my "listen while programming and need focus" collection.
