Album Description
This album presents two previously unreleased live shows. The first one, from 1976, features the original line-up and conveys the sheer power and passion of this amazing band. The second show is equally great as it documents their 1993 one time reunion. 20 tracks. 2001.

No Classic, But Fun For Punk Fans.......2006-03-20
Although I like their studio albums better, thislive disc from DMZ has its moments. I prefer the earlier Rat recordings over the "reunion" material, but what really hurts this is repetition; was itnecessary to include three versions of "Boy fromNowhere"? Even so, it's nice to have this BostonPunk stuff in release at all.
A legend band in a mythical place !.......2003-11-19
DMZ, this band should have made it back when Boston was the Mecca of rock in the ending seventies. But the cliche rock'n roll drawbacks plagued them endlessly bringing the band to its end. This historic show from the end of the 70's live at the Ratskellar, joined to a reunion show from the mid 90's is too good to be true.
The band is devastatingly energetic, Greenberg's and JJ Rassler's guitars are duelling perfectly.. and Jeff Connolly, still Mono Mann at that time, is just amazing, shrieking and yelling behind his keyboards.. This collection of songs is something mythical we had been waiting for a long time. "Boyze from nowhere" is exactly what DMZ were all about, the reunion show nearly twenty years later seems to happen the next day.Another reason to miss the Rat !
Piledriving Boston Punk!.......2001-11-24
This is a perfect selection of DMZ hits you'da heard sittin in
the Rat with yer feet stickin to the floor from spilt beer and whatever else! For those of you who were there, like me, you'll dig this wayback machine.....Those of you who weren't, may pick this up and and be unimpressed with the recording quality...but I'll tell ya I'm still waitin to see that kinda beer sweatin energy on stage these days!! And this just could be YOUR chance to throw this disc on and have some people over with a case of beer a couple a bones....

A FUNK TREASURE.......2000-03-18
I was going through a record store one day a couple of years ago and stumbled across the most amazing thing .. This c.d set right here i knew i just have to have it .. As a long time fan of P-FUNK this is must to have.. I remember a couple of these shows back in the day Portions of this disc was recorded at Howard Theatre in 78 In Washington D.C. and Hampton Coliseum in 78 in Hampton Va.. i attended both of these concerts.. It just had me pumped.. If you want to hear one of the best bands ever through down live, raw, uncut this is it.. The only minor criticism i have about this set some of the earlier performances around 72 or 73 are of bad quality.. to much hiss sound in the source tapes that they got these performances from..
DIEHARD P-FUNK FANS CHECK IT OUT
supergroovalistic p- funk music is our new drug o' choice.......1998-11-27
As a true funkateer I can actually re-experience the same feelings that I had at the last two P-Funk shows that I attended. The first was at The Palladium and the second was at The Ritz ,in 1979 and 1981 respectively. Although some of the tracks were released on "Live and Kickin' " ,I was not disappointed.George and company evoke what is inherent tribal rhythmic emotion that reaches back eons to the voyage of the mothership that brought our ancestors to this funkless planet . Personally I prefer live recordings because they are the absolute best that a group can give you personally without the benefit of cosmetic studio manipulations .P-Funk delivers on time everytime If they never release another "Live" set ,this one is P-funk,Uncut Funk ,The Bomb .It'll do it to you in your earhole. To all the members of Parliament /Funkadelic, I would like to extend my eternal gratitude for this set. As a musician I appreciate the work that went into rehearsal ,travel, etc. As a fan I am forever grateful."Red Hot Mama" was worth the price. You guys pass the Idea along to" The Artist"
