Good Deal.......2007-07-12

This CD contains five mixes of a great song. Amazon is missing the track listing, but it is as follows (All Dragostea Din Tei):

1.) Original Romanian Mix (3:33)
2.) Original Italian Mix (3:35)
3.) DJ Ross Radio Mix (4:15)
4.) DJ Ross Extended Mix (6:22)
5.) Unu' In The Dub Mix (3:39)

As such, it contains all the tracks found in the "Import" CD of the same title, and on the DRM-encumbered iTunes release.

I personally love the Italian Mix and DJ Ross Extended Mix, which can be hard to find elsewhere. The DJ Ross Radio Mix is essentially nothing more than a shorter version of the Extended Mix, so IMHO it adds little of value to the album. Nonetheless, this CD was a great value and is a worthy purchase if you like Dragostea Din Tei.

I love this group! They are wonderful and just fun to listen too!
Happy music without rap. Sorry do not like rap for it's violence and over playing on killing and all things hurtful at most times. Some is not. But the negative is over played. O-zone is a happier sounding music. Well worth buying.

They'll wonder..........2006-03-27

... why you're smiling so much. Dragostea Din Tei is one of those songs that just makes you feel good, and Haiducii does it best. This single combines three great versions of the tune, the original version and two remixes that are featured in both radio edits and extended versions. While I first heard the song through O-Zone's admittedly nice version (I confess to not having seen the various videos floating around), I far prefer Haiducii's.

I generally stay well clear of single CDs because I tend to consider them a waste of money, since I usually only like one of the songs on them (faster and cheaper to snag a download from iTunes). This is one of the rare exceptions where everything on it lived up to expectations.

The remixes are fantastic; a lot of mixes in my experience tend to add too much filler and not do much with the lyrics. Not these! The mixing adds to the song and works with the tune and lyrics, rather than overpowering or discarding them entirely.

My personal favourite is the DJ Ross 4 the Club Mix. Put on a pair of sound-isolating earphones and the bass is as rich and throbbing as it should be, without being overbearing. There's really a great blend of bass, treble and midtones in this mix in particular. I was very pleased to be spared the ear-splitting (in a bad way) treble that I've found in so many mixes.

Anyone who likes the song Dragostea Din Tei would find their music collection well (and wonderfully inexpensively) enriched by purchasing this disc. I only wish I'd found it sooner!

Sweet Single.......2006-03-17

I had never heard of Haiducii till I heard her version of this song. She's really talented and I was very impressed. I highly recommend buying her first real album if and when she comes out with one.

Numa Numa!.......2006-03-03

I first heard this song online, of course, by finding the "Numa Numa" video, made by "Gary", on the internet. Just do a search for "Numa Numa" and you'll find the video under "Numa Numa Dance.". When I first heard the song I went nuts, it's got to be one of the coolest songs I've heard in a long time and makes you want to dance around the room with the sound cranked.

I had to buy the CD. I'll bet this 'homemade' video, plus the others I've seen, have really brought in the publicity for this band!

Great Pop Radio Tune(s).......2006-02-25

I personally discovered this great pop tune on Google video a few months ago. The video? Lots of Asian and South American teens uploading videos where they have lip-synced this song under the lyric "numa numa". Lots of different videos of many different lengths and quality...one, my favorite, had 2 New Zealand boys obviously aping a video as they lip-synced they also included the name of the song and artist. Quick Amazon search and it was mine.
America should give a listen...

The song you didn't know you knew.......2007-06-27

You've probably heard the song "Dragostea Din Tei" before, even if you don't recognize the title. It was made world-famous a couple of years ago when a guy named Gary danced in front of his webcam and shared it on the net. Remember the Numa Numa Guy? Yes, this is that song, as lively and fun as ever, even without Gary's antics. Very danceable, and it really sticks in your head, you'll find yourself humming it all day long.

This is one of the best dancing song - great for the disco dance.
I love to dance and I never miss the opportunity to dance to Dragostea Din Tei. It is ashamed that the song was not popular in the USA (except for the "Numa Numa Dance") - I guess Americans don't like to dance that much. On the European style discos this song is a must.

Sometimes you just need a happy song that you can hop around the house to. This one is it. It's unfortunate that the group broke up already. My story is...I bought a Total Gym, I wondered how I was going to get myself started, then I put on a couple versions of Mai Ai Hee that totalled 10 minutes, put them on a loop and voila, I have my workout program. I have sore muscles where I haven't had muscles for 20 years. These reviews should be on the main page and not the reviews that put the song down. Also, I'm a huge BSB fan and am going to their show tonight in DC, so to put them in the same category is fine, FUN HAPPY MUSIC!!! (Don't forget to listen to Despre Tine and De De Plang Chitarele)

Ok, just like pretty much every other person who wrote a review of this single, I spent some time in Europe this summer. One of the first days I was there, I saw the video. "This must be a joke" I thought to myself. One week and a lot of convincing later, I realized it wasn't. Over the course of a month in Germany, I would guess I heard this song something like 10-15 times a day. Those crazy Germans couldn't get enough of it.
So, the only people who should really buy this are people like me who have fond memories of drinking liter after liter of beer to this song, or stupid people who would actually like this kind of music for what it is.

What about the Romanians?.......2004-09-19

I just spent a month in Europe (two weeks in Germany and two in Romania) and while I was in Germany this song was number one. I heard this song about every five minutes on the radio or anywhere I went pretty much. Then when I went to Romania (where this band is from) I think I heard the song twice the whole time I was there. I asked some of the people I knew, and their responses were pretty much the same. "O-Zone is a very popular band but that song isn't" So there you have it. The Germans love it; the Romanians don't. I give it four stars, three for the fact that the beat is great and its a positive energizing song. The lyrics aren't that great except for comical purposes mainly. I did give it one extra star on sedimental value, because it will always remind of this crazy girl I left behind there.

These guys have been popular in Romania for a while now and it is absolutely FANTASTIC that the rest of the world is discovering them. They are one of the cleanest, most positive and just plain fun bands you're ever going to come across. Listen, sing along even if you dont know what you're saying. But most of all: dance. If you like Dragostea Din Tei (numa numa) you'll also love Despre Tine which was actually their first giant hit in Romania and won several awards from MTV Romania.

Oh... and just for those of you who were wondering: Vrei sa pleci dar nu ma (nu ma) iei means you want to leave but you wont take me.

I have no idea what the guy is singing but Romanian is very beautifull language. The track has nice sounds, a tacky cover with the guys looking like 80's lounge lizards and like they had gigs at some cheap US hotel. I love the vocals and I find them to be quite accomplished vocalists even though as stated I have no idea what they are singing. This is an amazing track to dance to and should be obligatory for parties as it will pack the dance floor.

Quite disappointed.......2005-07-23

I got this for the karaoke version on track four. It is NOT what karaoke is suppsoed to be. There are no on-screen lyrics. They simply mixed the lead vocals down, and you can still hear them in the background. Unless you know the words to this song, you'll have a hard time doing it for karaoke.
I was not impressed with the Haiducii version of this song (track 1), or the mixes on tracks 2 and 3. I have heard better. I prefer the O-Zone version of this song. They were the first to record it, although Haiducii released it in Italy first. There is a lot of contention over this song. It has become more well-known, thanks to the lip-synching video by Gary Brolsma, which you can find just about anywhere on the net. For those doing a search, he is not Greek, he is from Jersey.
It's a catchy tune, and fun to listen to and sing, but as I sated, in my opinion, you should save your money for the O-Zone version.

I like a lot this Version, I have O-zone versions, but this version is much better!! I liked more Haiducii than O-zone, and this is not that Romania Hit, "Dragostea din tei is excellent"; it's a pity you can not find the other single of Haiducii "Mne Stoboy Horosho" in this single you can see what is Haiducii, not just "Dragostea Din Tei", because Haiducii is excellent!!! I like Ozone too, but I prefer Haiducii!!!

Wow- this song is the biggest fad at school, but I liked it before it was. If you're buying this for someone and want to hear the song, go to http://www.ebaumsworld.com/numanuma.html. (It's a person lip-syncing to the song from his computer). The song is in Romanian, and is more of a hit there than it is here. The lyrics translated to english can be found at http://www.catteacorner.com/dragosteadintei.htm . I personally love this song, and having so many versions on one CD is great. Also, this CD is of better value (better quality for less money) than others that are similar.
I would highly reccomend this if you are a fan of the song!

Stay Away.......2005-01-31

Oh boy what a waste of $$ this thing was. I heard some 'buzz' about o-zone so I ordered this CD. Man, it was so disappointing. It was a real stretch to even call it techno which it isn't.
If you think you like this sort of thing try Yaz or almost anything else, (even Dead or Alive) because this is just a boring rip from end to end.

Save your $$$ buy a roll of paper towels or toilet paper, that would be money better spent.

This is a wonderful single that has proved its worth by being a top hit in Canada and Western Europe, time and time again. I strongly encourage you to purchase this, Made in Moldova, song! Once again, this proves that Moldova, a country occupied by Russian imperialist pigs against the will of 4 million people to this day and age, is resilient and competitive with the big hits like Eminem (who ranked #3 in EU vs O-Zone #1). Support Moldova, support freedom, support capitalism and cut the Russian cancer out!

This is a MOLDOVAN song, performed by a MOLDOVAN band, O-zone (sung in Romanian, our national language).
A romanian band, Haiducii, tried to copy O-zone, but they failed.

The song is definitely the best dance song ever and I definitely urge you to buy O-zone's album.

Do not confuse MOLDOVA with Romania, we speak the same language, we have the same culture, but we are two different sovereign states.

There isn't much to say about this, but I love this song. It's a Romainian song that has hit the airwaves in Romainia and is a hit everywhere, it is even played sometimes at my school for dances! In fact, this is a great song and everyone I know loves it more than me. but I love it!
