One of the Best Trance CDs of all time get it used cheaper on the UK Amazon.......2005-10-26

Listen I got about 80 percent of my trance collection including this CD by going to www.amazon.co.uk, the UK Amazon, yes here you will find all your favorite trance cds at much better prices. See more people were into trance in the UK and there are many more of these used cds running abouts. Just remember a pound is almost two dollars and the seller should say international delivery available. If not email them and ask them to enable it because you would like to buy their cd. In most cases they don't even know they could of done it. You will pay about 6 dollars in postage and handling but hey it can pay off big time when you consider here in the states some of these cds are going for a lot, or you can't even find. Look for Ibiza Euphoria by Matt Darey, ATB Clubber's Guide to Trance, Best Trance Anthems Ever, Gatecrasher Wet, Gatecrasher Black cd2, Gatecrasher Red. Some really good mixing on Breakdown the Best of Euphoric Dance the first three volumes. These so far were my all time favorites, I also liked some of the original Euphoria cd's and early Trance Nations. Just be careful and read reviews.

Oh My God!.......2004-02-10

This is the best freakin' trance cd I've ever heard! Matt Darey, has created perfection. Starting with, "Seven Cities", it has a steady beat and nice harmony and synth. Blending into the next track called, "Everyday" also nice synth sounds like a shooting star. Things pick-up pace with the excellent, "Madagascar", it has this rising pace and excellent bass. Things mellow out with a nice female vocal of "Red Sun Rising". The pumping picks up again with the mesmerizing and beautiful, "Wizards of the Sonic". Another amazing vocal track has to be "Liberation", which is up beat and has a euphoric sound, with a pounding beat! CD 1 is excellent. There's just so many excellent tracks.
Now on to CD 2. We have, "Saltwater" which begins very steady and builds up by gradually adding layers of beautiful sounds and a sweet vocal. Picking up in, "Invisible", which has an excellent bass, which is then seemlessly combined with the fantastic "Strings for Yasmin", it has a pulsating beat and breath-taking background sound effects. Both Cds are Amazingly good, they are the best tracks in trance and have been seemlessly fused together with excellent vocals, ambient sounds and relentless beats. Like a ballad, just dancing together in harmony, they pulsate. Euphoria Ibiza is by far the best two cd set out there. You'll notice other record labels started using the tracks here trying to imitate "Euphoria", but they don't come close to mixing them well. Mr. Matt Darey, take a bow...you have achieved perfection!

whoa!.......2003-12-07

The double cd import will elavate you! Matt Darey did an excellent mixing job. Highlights are Solar Stone from Seven Cities, Blockster from Grooveline, Liquid Child from Diving Faces and Chicane featuring Maire Brennan of Clannad. The latter Enya's sister and a major new Celtic artist. I mention it so if you are a new age music fan it's time to move to a higher level with the Euphoria series. This double import is one of those that you will listen until its totally scratched!

An Amazing House/Trance Mix!.......2003-07-09

Whats strange is that before hearing ths cd I had never known about Matt Darey. Im sure glad I didnt exclude this from my collection! Well, first of all the price might make you wonder if this really worth the money. Im not going to try to force you to but this cd, but inform you on why it in my opinion it is worth the money you would pay for it. I also wont go into track details because fortunately this site posted the entire track listing. All i have to say is that both cds are amazing in their own way. Personally, i found the first cd to be fast paced and the second to be just a tiny bit slower. When i first got this mix i was actually just looking for a cd with a lot of tracks that i liked (Xpander being one. Worth the price alone). What was amazing is that in the end i liked all the tracks including the ones i had never previously heard! Another aspect of the cd to mention are the vocals. In my opinion 100 percent of the time they compliment the sound of the cds perfectly. This is something very hard to find in a house mix because a lot of mixes out there have some really cheezy vocals that hurt your ears. Any Trance/House fan should have this in their collection. Although a lot of these songs may be considered "cheese" or "overplayed", they still fit perfectly into the mix and in the end produce exactly what the name implies: EUPHORIA IBIZA. Matt Darey has put together something truly extraordinary here. Listen to it for yourself and hear the sounds of Ibiza!

Next to Best.......2004-03-10

D.j. Dave Pearce, returns once again to the Euphoria series and brings us and very entertaining experience. Starting with a decent first track called, "Hide U". I say decent because the vocals were not great in that song. Things pick up in the next track with a better vocal song called "21st Century", excellent tempo and background with a sweet female voice. Skipping ahead to track 6, where things begin to jam with "Come on" it had strange sound effects but it was fun listening to. Track 7 really takes off with "Mystery" which has a very nice synths as the main attraction. Seemlessly merging with a fantastic track called, "Struggle for Pleasure", beautiful synths and harmony, topped off with a great beat. There's more great tracks on the first cd. Now on to the second cd.

The second cd, has a nice intro song called "Another Chance", which has a bit of a disco flavor to it, but very nice. The second track called "Here I Come" also has a disco flavor, but is nice. Jumping ahead to track 5, called "Ibeatza" an odd title, but an excellent track, with nice use of synths and voice modulator, combined with the next excellent track "Para Mi" has a nice baseline and steady tempo with an female voice which echos. Moving ahead to track 8, "The Legacy" which has beautiful harmony and synths, complimented with the good drum beats. Merging next is a beautiful vocal track called "Such is Life", it is complimented with great synths that almost sound like classical music, but later builds up with pumpin' tempo, it's amazing! Then followed by another amazing vocal called "10 in 01", it has a very beautiful female vocal in harmony! I only took away one star because a few of the tracks sounded like disco music (it's not a bad thing, but this is supposed to be a trance cd). However, there are even more great tracks after that. Suffice to say, that this cd set is worth buying and an excellent addition to the Euphoria series. Mr. Dave Pearce, take a bow, Euphoria Ibiza is excellent!

Superb trance/dance at its finest, ladies and gentleman........2003-07-12

Matt Darey is probably one of the best mixers out there. And he lives up to that reputation in this absolutely flawless adventure. Go pick this CD up, grab a pair of headphones, pump the volume as loud as you can stand, and sit back and let this CD blow you away on a rollercoaster ride of beautiful builds and just flat out the best trance/dance (call it what you want) mixes around.

I've heard it all - I've been listening to trance/techno/dance for 6 years and this is some of the best stuff I've come across, along with the rest of the Euphoria line.

Go pick this one up - amazing! Five stars!

The winning streak continues.............2001-12-19

I have reviewed the previous two Ibiza Euphorias, and I decided to review this one as well. Especially since no one else has even rated it. Also because this album deserves it for being just that good, and living up to the high standards of the previous two volumes.
Now, this ablum is mixed by Dave Pearce, through his summer residency this past year at Eden in Ibiza. Which Euphoria sponsored in support of this release. Now I must say that I was not a big fan of Dave Pearce before this mix. For followers of the Euphoria series all know, that True Euphoria didn't quite cut it, and when Transcendental Euphoria came last fall, I was all about fed up with the regular line, and decided to stick exclusively with the Ibiza line. In my opinion, the regular Euphorias fail to capture any kind of real atmosphere, and the mixing is at times choppy, while the song selection can go from the best to the worst in a matter of minutes. Where as the Ibiza line has been mixed by all quality djs & producers. Hence volume one by Matt Darey, and volume two by Xtravaganza Recordings; Alex Gold & Agnelli and Nelson. But I must say that when I heard Dave Pearce was mixing this year's album I cringed. Boy was I wrong to have ever doubted him. But who can blame me based on his past efforts in the series?
Anyway, I must say that Dave definitely captured the brilliantly beautiful balearic vibe of Ibiza. And he did it almost flawlessly. Cd one starts off nice & chilled with some great progressive house, that exemplifies the tropical atmosphere of Ibiza. "Hide U", by Kosheen, "21st Century", by Weekend Players, and the standout is "Transfer", by Posession, open the set nicely. This builds into some flawless mixing of balearic trance such as "The Mystery", by Mystery, and The Minimalistics "Struggle for Pleasure". These songs are great, but the way Dave mixes them into balearic anthems such as "Beauty of Silence", Svenson & Giehlen, "10 in 01", Members of Mayday, "Love Parade 2001", & "Like this, Like that", Mauro Picotto, truly takes you into a state of Euphoria. There's only one way to listen to this part of the cd, "LOUDLY"!
This continues until the cd starts to cool off a bit without losing momentum into "Superstring" by Cygnus X. Then we get the beautiful vocal track "See me here", by Orion, which melts beautifully into "Sun" by Slusnik Luna to cap off the set. This first cd is unbelievable, but it's almost nothing compared to the second.
Just when you thought things couldn't get better, Mr. Pearce takes it up a notch. Roger Sanchez starts it off with his Ibiza anthem "Another Chance", followed by the likes of Tall Paul "Precious Heart", some more awesome Ibiza style progressive house, and then the set begins to hit it's climax. Song number seven starts the ball rolling with Sunscreem vs. Push, "Please Save Me". This is an awesome anthem that combines the pulsating synths of Push with the beautiful vocals of Sunscreem. The song selection from here on in is unbelievable! Push follows this up with "Legacy", which blows away their last hit "Strange World". Then Rank 1 serves up the vocal anthem that dominated last summer, "Such Is Life". Surreal chips in with "Always on My Mind" and Dave Forbes with "Questions must be Answered". Then Dj Tiesto unleahes his master track, "Suburban Train". The synths in this track are just awesome. If you weren't in a state of Euphoria yet, you will be once this track kicks in for the next six minutes. As Dave says in the liner notes, this is the perfect track to drop on clubbers around 5am. The rest of Cd explodes with tracks such as "Castles in the Sky (Whippenberg Remix) and cools off at the end with "Composure" Junk Project(John 00 Fleming mix), Lost Witness's "Did I Dream"(Album version), and finally ends with Konkrete, "Law unto Myself"(John 00 Fleming Remix). Just a beautiful set, that one must listen to, to get the full effect.
In closing I would just like to say that this is a stellar 3rd edition to the series, and definitely stands on it's own when compared with the first two editions. There must be some kind of magic when Ibiza and Euphoria come together, because they simply blow away any other compilation series on the market. And even though Dave Pearce's mixing was shaky at best up to this point for Euphoria, it seemed to magically come together for this mix. Maybe Dave was overwhelmed with the emotions of Ibiza, and that's what enabled him to pull off such a "Euphoric" set. But in any case Mr. Pearce made me a believer, and this series has made me a believer in the Balearic Island scene for quite some time now. I admired Dave so much through this mix that I have been tempted to try out "Total Euphoria", which has already gotten rave reviews by fans on the UK Amazon site. Anyway, if you had any doubts about this cd, lay them to rest. Just buy it, listen to it, and enjoy a state of Euphoria. P.S.- Then go get the other two volumes if you haven't already, you won't be disappointed!

Epic house and trance.....!.......2002-03-19

This is the second volume of the "Ibiza Euphoria" series, which is mixed by one of the distinguished pioneers of the Ibiza scene, not to mention the founder of "XTRAVAGANZA" uk record label,...Alex Gold, whose distinct progressive, cosmopolitan global dance sound has overwhelmed and won the heart of thousands of clubbers all over the world. The second disc is mixed by Agnellie and Nelson, also a protege of Alex Gold's Xtavaganza line. The first cd starts out with smooth solid house,and then progressing to trance, with the exclusive "Katcha Remix" of Solar Stone's "Seven Cities"...All in all, this item is truly a masterpiece. I cannot compare it to the first volume which was mixed by Matt Darey, since I feel both have a unique distinct style all of its own.

I really enjoyed the first "Euphoria: Ibiza" set, so I was looking forward to checking out the second installment. I have to say that I enjoy the second collection more than the first. The mix of tracks seems to be more unique -- most of it I hadn't heard before.

The first disc starts off with several tracks containing vocals that I found very annoying. However, it quickly moves past these and really gets things going with yet another mix of "Seven Cities" (is it a requirement to include this track if you are going to release a trance disc? :)). The mix of "Seven Cities" is one of the best I have heard, definitely better than the one included with the first set.

On the second disc I particuarly enjoy Galaxia (8), Embrace (11) and "Isn't Life Wonderful?" (11), but the entire second disc is a good mix with smooth transitions.

Xtravaganza Does Ibiza 2000.......2001-06-18

To me the Euphoria CD collection is quite average, but they really created something special when they started their Ibiza line. This collection seems to have the best producers, best DJs, best mixing, and the best song selection. In 1999, Matt Darey mixed a near godlike set of Ibiza anthems that is to this day the best mix I have ever heard. This set a very high standard for anyone who would have the priveledge or the agony of following up this set. But this task could not have fallen to anyone better, than the duo of Alex Gold and Robbie Nelson at Xtravaganza Recordings. And they do not disappoint. Alex Gold was one of the first UK Djs to pioneer the Ibiza scene, and Robbie Nelson is definitely one of the world's finest Dj's. The first Cd mixed by Alex, is probably the better of the two, when it comes to setting the scene of Ibiza, and delivering that unique balearic vibe. It definitely leaves you wanting more when the set ends. It builds slowly but surely, and in a way almost takes you through what a nightlong experience at an Ibiza club would be. It starts off at sunset with the beautiful song "Singing for the Future", by Agnelli and Nelson, and then steadily builds into another Xtravaganza artist, Black Connection, and their great disco/trance hit "Keep on Doin' It". This is my favorite part of the set as it flawlessly mixes into the Spanish/Caribbean flavor of the Rhythm Bangers, "Bang", and next Spanish/Island flavored song of "Peakin'". This all melts beautifully into a five minute mix of Solar Stone's "Seven Cities", in a rare remix by Katcha. The CD continues to build flawlessly in the middle with standout tracks being, The Cowboy and The Conductor,"Feeling this Way", Goldenscan,"Sunrise", Quench,"Dreams", and an older favorite of Mother's Pride,"Learning to Fly". This all leads into an unbelievable song called "Can't Get Enough" by Soulsearcher, which has been reissued on Xtravaganza as Eye To Eye, and includes a great Lange Remix. The set's end is extremely worth waiting for, with "Halycon"(Airscape remix), by Chicane, "Silence", by Delerium, and "Hudson Street", by Agnelli and Nelson, capped off beautifully by Chicane's "Overture", which tells that the set is over, and if we were in Ibiza we'd probably be stumbling outside to see the sunrise at this point. The second cd marks the changing times of the island, by showcasing a more mature trance sound. The mix is flawlessly perfect, and showcases Agnelli and Nelson's alter ego Afterburn, with two great tracks called "Frattboy" and "Northpole". Other standout tracks include "Galaxia", "Skydive", "Power of Love", "Fiji", "Till We Meet Again", and "Embrace". All other tracks are great too, but these seem to jump out at you a litte more than the rest. This set is more chilled than the first Cd, and thus serves as the perfect "come down" mix, after listening to the first set, which is a blistering yet ambient/balearic mix of Disco/Trance styles. Overall this is as good as a mix Cd gets. I would strongly recommend buying 1999, and 2000 mixes because both are phenomenal. You really get see the progression of the music over the last two years of the Ibiza scene. I can't wait for this summer's mix.

CD 2 is right up there with oakenfold's resident on my trance classics list. Starts great then after #10 takes it up a level. this is good stuff!

Ibiza in your room.......2003-06-21

I bought this Ibiza Euphoria on my last trip, thought i didn't had it planned. I first bought "The Very Best Of Euphoria" (a must have for all Euphoria fans..), and then I got this set mixed by master Dave Pearce, both cd's are a non stop euphoric experience from beginning to end, the frist cd starts with chilled tunes like "Luv Da Sunshine" from Intenso Project and ends with a dance tune from Bigfella "Beautiful", there is a logic of the rythm of the tracks in both cds. I especially recommend this set for a party at the biginning to "get the moud going" followed by a non-stop eurodance party. My favourite tunes are "Tic Toc" by Klea wich is a very sticky vocal tune and a very unique song with his own style, "One Step Too Far" compiled by Dido and her brother Rollo from Faithless, a fusion between great voice (haunting vocals) and unique trance style, play it loud!!!! "Beautiful Child" an exellent mix of vocal trance, "Back To Cali" a great remix from Push of the original wich I consider to be one of the best trance anthem of all times...the second cd contains great tracks like "Awakening" a slightly cheeky trance tune from the Dutch, "The Theme" one of my favourite party tunes a great remix from Altitude (one of the best I've ever heard of the original.. "Try" I kinda like the original one but the guys from Alphazone converted this tune into a pumping mix who rips off the floor Huge!!! "In Your Hands" great track from clubbers to clubbers :) "Seven Cities" a brilliant remix from Armin's with a different style great closing track and the end of Cd 2. I have only mentionned some of the tracks I like, but there are others great trance tunes wich i also like, if your a trance fan look no more, if you have $$ look nowhere else GET THIS!!!

Below Average.......2002-01-13

All I can say is, this CD set is just okay. The mixes are a bit rough, track selection is below average. Songs that got speedup to catch the overall beat, sounded not so good. The same apply to the Ibiza Euphoria by Dave Pearce, I think they are the same. Not worth the money unless you have to. I'd wait for the MOS's "The Annual 2002" boxset to be available in the U.S.

Great CD.......2001-12-04

This CD is Aweseom, but I'm not sure what Induce from Somewhere (The other reviewer) is talking about, because none of the songs he mentioned are on this CD. Infact, I already had this CD, but because of his review, I thought it was the other Dave Pearce: Euphoria, but it wasn't because this guy was wrong. Thanks Induce! Otherwise, the CD is awesome, I had the opertunity to see Dave Pearce this summer, and these two CDs capture his live energy well.

Yeah!!.......2001-10-21

This collection is a very good collection to listen to while sitting and doing some work or relaxing or getting ready for the club or rave or whatever. Disc 1 contained some of the best songs in the world, especially Solar Stone - Seven Cities, Blank & Jones - Cream, Underworld - King Of Snake, and Qattara - Come With Me. It featured a couple different kinds of trance, some with vocals and some without, and I did not once have to change to the next track. I was not so impressed by disc 2, as the beginning contained almost every track in almost the same order as a Disc 2 of Ministry Of Sound's Clubber's Guide To... Trance, and the end finished with this disco ... that would be good in a party atmosphere but that I didn't personally care for. Disc 1 was still good though.
