"It's good to see Philadelphia producer SUPREMEeX back in the driver's seat."
Product Description
Available for the first time on Compact Disc, SupremeEx's debut album, "Destructor" is packed with 45 minutes of continuously mixed, original instrumental hiphop beats.
Originally released in 1998 on cassette only, SupremeEx's "Destructor" caught the ear of Tajai from Souls of Mischief / Hieroglyphics. Having loved what he heard, Tajai approached SupremeEx to work on a collaborative album together, the result being 1999's, "Projecto: 2501" EP on Hieroglyphics Imperium Records.
Many of the instrumental beats used on "Projecto" are featured here on the "Destructor" CD - available for the first time ever. New to this updated version of "Destructor" are instrumental tracks previously never released before, as well as brand new artwork and a budget price, making this one of the best values available in instrumental hiphop. And everything has been re-mastered by Hiro Matsuo and SupremeEx for optimal sound quality.
Fans have been requesting it on CD for years: "Destructor" creates a non-stop, atmospheric journey of hard hitting instrumental hiphop.

Violent..........2004-06-05
I'm really at a loss to describe the sounds contained on this album, as they are beyond my normal vocabulary, but I'll give it a go. There are beats as big as any produced by Manowar's Drums of Doom. There are mechanical rhythms which would not be out of place in a steel mill or foundry. There are movie soundtrack orchestrations. There are samples distorted to alien realms. There are drones, scrapes, electronic blurs, static soaked hammering, stress inducing pounding, militaristic marches and a lot of indescribable noise.
Imagine the Decepticons (the bad guys from the `Transformers') teamed up with Hal 9000, the homicidal computer from `2001 A Space Odyssey', and `Terminator's T-1000. You end up with a psychotic relentless robotic maniac, and this is his favourite album.
"The Only Love" is a surprise in brutal subtlety. A haunting female vocal over a gentle synth orchestral background is disturbed by depraved laughter and then suddenly obliterated by power violence machinegun fire.
While the average metal fan might be hard pressed to sit through this, `Life Of Destructor' is worth a listen, if only to shatter a few myths about dance music and to discover something a bit different.

If you like this kind of 80's, very US/macho thrash metal, I would advise you to check out Nasty Savage, Exodus (Bonded by Blood), Savage Grace or Hallow's Eve who were all far better bands than this one.
