Customer Reviews:
I Love Miami, Too!.......2007-03-27
I just purchased this CD. I also own Rauhofer's "I Love New York." "I Love Miami" is incredibly wonderful! I was drawn to the second CD (it's a 2-CD pack) more than the first, but don't misunderstand, I also liked the first CD. "We Play House" and "Discoteka" really can get you up and moving and the rest of the side is a constant! A couple of the cuts on the first CD brought the pace down (just a bit, though), but all in all, this is a GREAT CD!
Again, I wish Amazon.com would consider half-star ratings because I would have stuck another half-star on the end of my rating. This CD is not perfect--but damn near close! Have yourself a listen and a good time!
Amazing.......2007-01-29
This is the quintessential Rauhofer club experience. Close your eyes and it is instantly 5am on the Roxy floor, and you are surrounded by sweaty, half naked bodies moving as one in ecstasy. This cd is packed with sexy beats. This cd is f*cking your ears and body from start to finish.
Deep, tribal, dark...........2006-12-05
Peter hit the nail on the head with this one when going for that Miami feel. Is it Oscar G at Space? Not quite, but it is absolutely fan-f*cking-tastic all the same. It is pulsing and tribal and it is those luscious, pounding drums that we all love from beginning to end. You cannot do wrong by picking this one up. Get it now.
THE BEST YET.......2006-11-21
This is truly his best cd ever, LIVE @ ROXY 3 is 2nd. Everything he does is the best. but damn, all 22 tracks!
Peter's done it again...........2006-11-20
This compilation is HOT. It took me a couple of spins to really get into it, but I'm completely hooked now. If you like sexy, tribal beats - this one's for you!!

Customer Reviews:
Heavy beats, lots of fun.......2006-11-03
This is a high energy dance song, lots of thumping and lots of expression that will keep you in high gear.
NOT QUITE WHAT I EXPECTED....BUT STILL GREAT!.......2006-10-23
As a deeply devoted fan of Chicane, I must say I was a little dissappointed with this, as many hardcore fans around the world will be. However, after listening a few more times, this track really touches you, with its yearning male vocals courtesy of Tom Jones, and the beautiful filtered guitar riffs and soft synth chords. It definitely works a dancefloor, and as a dj and clubber, I can say that i LOSE IT to this! Although not the blissed out and ethereal anthem we had hoped for, Chicane has grown as an artist and this is a great display of a brilliant musician broadening his sound. The drums are tight, the bass is heavy, and the overall feeling takes you to the real sound of Ibiza! If you are new to Chicane, buy "Behind The Sun" before this.. If you are a fan, you may be dissappointed at first listen, but give a couple more spins and it will hit you!
(sigh).......2006-09-05
Another single from Chicane's never-to-be-released new album, it seems. It's been six damn years since Nick released his last LP; for three of those years, I've been beginning to lose hope that he'll ever release another one. Why have I lasted so long without new material? Because his two albums to date, "Behind the Sun" and "Far from the Maddening Crowds" are just that good -- even though I can't listen to them anymore.
This song rocks in the clubs!!!.......2006-07-09
This song has a club beat that just makes you want to dance. Tom Jones as a featured addition was a great choice. Just when you think TJ will fade, he comes back full force with modern music.
Excellent CD.......2006-06-30
All four songs on the CD are the same song but remixed in different ways, especially the last one as it has a cool disco-type beat. I love all four. Tom Jones is great and he sounds excellent. If you like dance music and Tom Jones then you will be very happy with this purchase.

Enjoyable.......2005-08-23
If you like TV/movie soundtracks, and Andromeda, you should like this. Good Andromeda music, also contains the two different opening themes. (Remember, it is a TV soundtrack so it contains synthesized music.) I enjoy listening to it, and can have it playing in the background at work too without it being bothersome.
A Great Soundtrack.......2005-02-01
The soundtrack to Gene Roddenberry's Andromeda is one of the best sci-fi soundtracks to come out in quite a while. I found the music exciting, interesting and intriguing, and on several tracks simply exhilarating; composer Matthew McCauley really does take you on a musical roller-coaster, from the stately High Guard Theme to Dylan's theme to Trance's and Beka's themes to the Nietzschean Attack theme. McCauley musically explores each character, underscoring and enhancing their unique personality. The album has kind of a New Age-ish sound to it on several tracks which gives it a mysterious ethereal quality. A great score for a great series. Composer Matthew McCauley certainly knows his stuff. This is just great music whether or not you're a fan of the show!
love it.......2003-08-08
Great presentation of soundtrack. Interesting instrumentals for even those who are not familiar with the show. I listen to it practically all the time!
A great television score!.......2002-03-27
First off, this is a television soundtrack, not a movie soundtrack-- many of the "instruments" are synthesized. Okay, that aside, this is a great album! It's been a long time since I've heard so many different character themes on a tv soundtrack. From the Heroic "Dylan Hunt", to the brooding "Rev Bem and Magog" music, to the outright ominious "Neitzscheans" themes, this album is a winner. It's nice that the producers also included Alex Lifeson's "March of the High Guard" theme from season 1, which is regrettably no longer used on the show. The music on this album takes you on a emotional roller coaster-- from mysterious, to brooding, to heroic and back again. High recommended for fans of both scores and the television series alike!

To borrow a page from the Unsolved Mysteries dictionary, Dave Ralph's follow-up to Tranceport 2 is less like an actual live album than a reenactment. A dramatization, if you will, based upon the test sets Ralph spun leading up to his stint at Berlin's monstrously large annual Love Parade party. Don't let that "not really live" thing dissuade you, though. Live at the Love Parade actually bests most of its peers when it comes to capturing the dynamics of a live set. Anything you'd ever want on a dance floor is here in some fashion, be it echoey breaks (Nuclear Ramjet's "Deep Blue"), jumpy piano (Takka Box Inhibitor's "Freet"), burbly synths (Noel Sanger's "No Greater Love") or tons of emotional build-ups and breakdowns. Ralph's choice of a closing tune, a very front-and-center vocal dub of the omnipresent "Porcelain," is the best indicator of his main strength behind the decks, the ability to create and sustain a mood. While certainly not the most engaging mix of Moby's home-listening masterpiece, it's the mix that best sustains and summarizes the set's loved-up vibe. --Bob Michaels
Customer Reviews:
relatively boring with few bright spots.......2002-05-28
Compared to other Dave Ralph releases, this CD is very repetitive in an annoying way. I'm not a fan of simplistic banging beats, so my bias is showing here. Ralph's track selection is heavy on the straight-forward thumping and crashing, lacking the polyrhythmic and melodically intricate sounds that make Tranceport 2 so hypnotic and engaging. It seems that he, like so many other DJ's, got swept up in the anti-trance sentiment of the last couple of years, moving away from anything with emotional expression or musical complexity. Hopefully this trend has peaked and we'll see a broad spectrum of "trance" and related genres being released, and there won't be any more musical abortions like this one from an otherwise excellent DJ.
So why do I give it 3 stars after roasting it? Cuz it ain't quite as bad as I'm makin' it sound! It just annoys me that he didn't follow up Tranceport 2 with something of comparable quality.
I'll concur with the masses on this one........2002-01-24
I have to agree that this isn't Dave Ralph's most amazing set of tracks, but his work is so consistantly excellent that it still outshines most of his peers (and certainly all the punters in the space). I'd recommend this to people who have either a large trance collection already or who are diehard Dave Ralph fans.
I fall into both categories, so there's certainly no regrets in my purchase. For the record, if you're looking for really strong work by the same artist, pick up Tranceport 2. A little dated, but still very strong indeed.
Decent and worth buying.......2001-04-14
While this was definitely not as cutting-edge and innovative as Tranceport II was, it is still a very good effort by Mr. Ralph, Oakenfold's right-hand man. Tport 2 was a very gritty and futuristic style that hinged on a very progressive sound with minimal touches of anthem-like melodies and nasty industrial, tech samples. Love Parade jettisons this type of sound on Love Parade, which was NOT taped as a live recording at this year's mega-rave in Germany, Love Parade.
The sound attempts to capture the darkness and deep trance sound from Dj's like Digweed and Sandra Collins. And though not as good as classics like Northern Exposure: Expeditions or the classic Lost in Time, Collins' first release, LP is well-done. But it should be noted that Ralph does do an exceptional job here with the mixing, which is at par with that of Global Underground's. You know it's good when it seems like one, 60-minute song. But that's another problem as well, it is very short relative to the 75 minute standard now. It's very difficult, in my opinion, to reflect a set with 15 minutes less than typical mixes usually have.
The track selection is very mediocre, but with good reason: the Moby track (ATTENTION: MOBY IS NOT TRANCE!) is terrible, he concludes the mix with this song, and the remix is terrible even compared to similar versions of this mix like on Cape Town. Timo Maas delivers another solid track with the groove, funk of "Flash." And Max Graham gives a nice housy flavor to Ralph's potluck with his housy "Airtight." But all in all, the track selection is just above average because the mix has the same vibe of Digweed, and that is impeccable to touch. Plus, "Music" is now getting kinda annoying since I've heard it about 50 times now.
It's still worth adding to your collection, though. And I am sure that most of you reading this will consider buying it. Not too many people know Ralph or the exceptional work he did on Tranceport II as they do about Sasha or Oakenfold, but this guy is good and worthy of some recognition. Love Parade will definitely help that.
Not what it would seem..................2001-04-04
This is short and sweet. If you expect to get the feel of the Love Fest don't buy this. It will put you to sleep! Sorry, but that is how I feel when I listened to it.
Not the best, but worth buying still.......2001-03-09
Ok, so the mixes on this CD are not as tight as they could be, and I must agree the video footage should have been left out in favor of a few more tracks. But still, imagine this CD as a 5 hour set compressed into 12 tracks. For that it's pretty damn good. No Greater Love, Airtight, and Shoreline provide a couple nice climaxes, and contrary to other reviewers I like Moby's "Porcelain" as the last track. It's a very chill note to end a hard set and send everyone home with a smile. No, it's not as good as Tranceport, but personally I still like the way Dave strikes a path between the old skool progressive house, with its hyperbolic peaks and saccharine vocals, but avoids the (occasional) monotony of current trance. If you are a fan and want to see Dave's track selection and programming than this is a very good CD to get. If you are looking for "Best-of" quality Cd's you can probably leave this out and spend your money elsewhere (like Digweed's LA Underground), but if you like trance then I'd pick this one up. It won't dissapoint.

get the original version by House of Prince instead.......2007-01-03
Honestly, if you already have the 2-disc reissue of the Offer Nissim CD, "Second Time," and if you aren't a Nissim remix completist, you have all you need of this rerecording of the 1997 classic, a much more aggressive and sexy version than this. The vocals sound pretty much the same as the original version, but the mixes just can't compare, especially considering this dark tribal house sound is getting REALLY dated... Plus, if you have the reissue of the Nissim CD, you already have the full vocal version of "Be My Boyfriend" as well. Having said that, I must say, my favorite remix is the the "Perfect Club mix" with its moody string-synths. So then, well, heck, maybe you should pick this up after all. But just don't expect a series of great remixes. And DO get your hands on the original CD single by House of Prince...
My fav CDsingle i bought this year.......2006-10-12
I bought this cdsingle ONLY for the last track "Be My Boyfriend". Heard only a 45 second sample but i knew i had to buy the CDS. It's Offer Nissim's best mix since Suzanne Palmer "Home" Mixes. I totally love it. The Perfect Love mixes are OK but not as good as "Be My Boyfriend". And i think that the Dope Boyz mix is better than those made by Offer. The Redkone Lisbon mix and Javith/Salazar mixes don't have much vocals - more like instrumentals to me. Anyway it's a must have for any Offer Nissim fan. If you still not sure if you want it you can listen to long samples on beatport. But you won't hear/buy "Be My Boyfriend" there. So i strongly suggest you buy the cdsingle ^^

Great compolation.......2005-02-17
I love 2 trance it up with these cds!
3 cd - headliner cd is off the chain. Track 12
White light is insane!!
2nd cd on a mellower prog trance is really well put together and has some great quality tracks on it.
1 cd has a good combo of uplifting, darker, prog trance tracks on it..
Overall its a fun cd to have and worth the buy.
I LOOOOVE Love 2 Trance.......2005-02-04
I play the first 2 CDs in my car all the time. The 3rd CD kinda sucks, but there are some good points to it too. And those used prices....for 3 CDs....!!!!
Good + New + Cheap.......2004-06-22
These are not the best days of the mixed trance compilation. Two years ago there was a glut of compilations, all with the same tracks on them (though some of the tracks were great indeed). Now, new trance material seems pretty hard to find, and half of what's coming out is just remixes of 80's songs with a "trance" label applied. Not this one; this is the real deal and the price can't be beat. There are some stellar tracks and great builds in here, and you won't have to listen to "Cafe Del Mar" again. Reasonably long tracks, not rushed, and a thorough journey through several facets of true trance music from 2003. Of course any compilation that totals nearly four hours of music will have its moments, but at the price I'd never dream of complaining. Agree with the previous reviewer's per-disc ratings, and since this is priced like one CD, I'll give it the highest, 5 stars.
Very Nice Compilation.......2003-12-09
I was a little iffy on buying this CD. Most trance box sets that I have purchased in the past have been very dissapointing. When I put this in however, I was very impressed. It has every aspect of trance that I look for. It is very well mixed with an impressive track selection. Plus, there are 3 CD's for the price of one. If I had to rate each CD, it would follow: CD-1 : 4, CD-2 : 5, CD-3 : 4.5. This is a must have for any trance fans. And like I said, three great CD's for the price of one.

Love Comes Again ~ DJ Tiesto.......2005-10-06
Love Comes Again~ DJ Tiesto is an amazing trance track with faboulous synth sounds and loops. I love the baseline, and the vocal treatments. The lyrics are perfect for this kind of music. When you listen to this single you can not help envision yourself on the dancefloor in a major metropolis like Rome, London or Amsterdam. The drum sounds are also very well picked and add the right sound atmosphere. This is simply put it astounding trance and should not be missed by fans of tiesto or fans of trance music.

Scooter rules, but their later work is better.......2003-04-22
If you are an American, like techno, and do not own a Scooter album, I demand that you remedy that by the time you sign off. Only then will you realize that most Americans know nothing about techno, and you'll never be able to hear cheesy dance music again without thinking, "This would be so much better if it were Scooter." I'm not sure if this is the one I'd pick to be the first Scooter album in the collection, but it's worlds ahead of just about anything else coming out of the techno world.
This is from Scooter's "first chapter," when the lineup consisted of H.P. Baxxter, Rick Jordan, and Ferris Bueller (who would later leave, to be replaced by Axel Coon for "the second chapter"). Scooter in these days had a drum-based, heavily rhythmic style. Compared to their later productions, this album is almost sparse, but the later albums are so incredibly dense that it's not really a fair comparison. This is extremely thick, energetic music.
"Age of Love" and to a lesser extent "Tonight" and "Return..." are previews of the sound to come, and the rest of the album generally falls into the synthy euro-rave genre that never really caught on outside the dance clubs on this side of the pond. My favorite track is "Don't Waste no Time," but it would be hard to categorically call it the best on the album.
Like I said, this isn't my favorite Scooter disc; "Back to the Heavyweight Jam" was my first, and is still my favorite. You can't go wrong with this one, though. The only downside is that it will make you drive far, far too fast.
