I don't care what anyone says. I LOVE this cd and everyone I've ever let borrow it loves it as much as I do. So there! lol If you love Madonna how can you not like this. I ignore all purist opinions. Honestly. This is good stuff yall! HELLO!!!!!!! : )

3 out of 5 stars Better than other tribute albums I've heard! Holiday and Borderline are the standouts! .......2006-05-05

I recieved a copy of this cd from a frind of mine who is a radio station DJ. He knew I was a huge fan of Madonna so he figured I would like it. I knew better than to set myself up for excitement seeing as how it was a TRIBUTE album. Upon first play, I noticed a how crisp the production was. Although it was recorded by people whom are relatively unkown artist, I must say it does sound professional and not like those cheesy remake cd's you find in the bargain bin at your local Wal-Mart. The only song I found myself particularly drawn to was vocalists Mea's take on "Holiday" Heard on a decent stereo system and sounds pretty dang good. This version has a very trance/house feel to it and Mea is a pretty decent vocalist. I have included it on a couple of compilation cd's I have made and people have actually made positive comments about it. "Borderline" came in second. this version is a progressive trance mix that doesn't really include all of the vocals of the original song, more just bits and pieces of the chrous thrown about.. again.. not bad. The other songs are pretty much filler. I was not impressed with any of the other vocalist other than Mea. Madonna lyrics don't really mesh well with people singing them who have urban accents.. it's a little harsh.

3 out of 5 stars More Than Meets The Eye.......2002-05-04

...This tribute to Madonna is satisfying. It's not perfect, yet not a failure, it's decent. I'd rate this as an average 3 stars because of the half decency of this record. There are some really good remakes such as "Live To ll", "Holiday" and "Ray Of Light", the job was well done on those. And other tracks like "Borderline", "Vogue", and "Lucky Star" are okay, but should have been better. However, the songs that didn't get to me are "Into the Groove", "Justify My Love" and "Crazy For You", they just didn't sound right. This is just like the originals, the vocals are lively and all feminine, the rhythm is still there, it's completely dance-able, the only difference is the major injection of electronics and programming, and of course the slightly different vocals. If you are a die-hard or slight fan of Madonna, and you are very open-minded, I recommend getting this CD. It's not an insult to her, like other tributes have done, this one has more efforts and is satisfying. The only thing wrong with this is the few missing hits, there is no "Frozen", no "Like A Prayer", or "Like a Virgin". And secondly, this disc has only 10 songs, normally tribute albums give more than that, there should have been alot more. If you're not sure this CD is for you, take it from my opinion, it's better Virgin Voices 1 & 2 and that other really bad tribute (can't remeber the name). What also makes this album better than the others is the choice of performers, despite the fact they remain unknown (until you buy the CD like I did, then you'll see names and pictures). These aren't gothic and industrial bands who have no business covering Madonna songs and end up ruining them, this is dance music, something Madonna can actually relate to, only this type of dance is 2000ish. Still, this is one of the best at the moment, there could be better, hopefully someday people will learn to do the songs right for a change, and not add to a history of bad Madonna tributes.

1 out of 5 stars The worst tribute album I have heard to date.......2001-10-10

What a joke this tribute album. Madonna should be offended. The women who sings Madonna's songs make the songs ridiculously cheesy, along with the over the top, putrid synthasizers. Madonna should sue the people behind making "Tranceformed" or at least give them copies of Cleopatra Records' their two volumes Madonna tribute albums 'cause those people could learn a thing or two from it. Contrary to what one reviewer said about this not being as bad as what people thought, well reality is that this album is as bad as what people are saying that it is. Too bad I can only give it a one star instead of a half star or none. This is why most tribute albums aren't taken seriously. "Tranceformed" gives them all a bad name with the stupid cheesy covers that should not have ever been made. I bet I will never see those singers on the album for the rest of my life. They had their 15 minutes of fame.

    4 out of 5 stars It's Worth A Couple Of Stars.......2001-07-17

This record is not as bad as people claimed it to be. I happened to be a fan of tribute albums and I would say that this one is a keeper. I read the awful reviews previous to this and I still bought the album. There are a few tracks that aren't too good, but there are some standout tracks. The remakes of the songs Ray Of Light, Holiday and Live To Tell were quite fascinating to me, as well as a few others. Keep in mind, this is a TRANCE tribute, so give credit to the fact that this is a cross between Madonna and rave music. And the packaging on this CD was great too (the cardboard outer case). The only dissapointment I can say was the number of tracks, there should have been more than 10. This is a really good CD, I like it.
