Packs into 5 CD's a sampling of Broadway tunes from the 20's thru (almost) today, mostly from original cast recordings. Includes not just well-known hits, but also some lesser-known gems. Sound quality is first rate, booklet is informative too. Have given this as a gift to several friends with rave reviews.

Top Shelf.......2007-01-04

This is THE definitive collection of Broadway hits. I have other collections, and none of them measure up. A great deal of care was obviously taken in compiling and presenting this box set. It covers a lot of ground, starting with some long-forgotten but still very enjoyable hits from the days of yore, and finishing with present-day favorites. To the best of my knowledge, the recordings are by those who made them famous. You won't be disappointed.

If you are a fan of the Broadway Musicals, this is a collection that you should purchase. Since I got the 5 disc set I've enjoyed listening to it. The majority of the songs are done by the original singers. The collection is priceless considering that you will have over 100 songs from popular musicals since the beginning of Broadway

In conjunction with the 25th Anniversary of the legendary Café Del Mar in Ibiza, Resist re-issue the much sought after and timeless Café Del Mar volumes 1, 2 and 3. Originally released in 1994, Café Del mar set the standard as the first ever `chill out' compilation, not to mention the first ever Ibiza compilation; spawning hundreds of copycat albums. Originally released before the mass marketed commercialism that Ibiza is known for now, Cafe del Mar 1, 2 and 3 encapsulates the mythical sunset experience.

Compiler and then resident Jose Padilla brings together classic full length, unmixed tracks from artists such as Underworld, Sabres of Paradise, A Man Called Adam, William Orbit, and Nightmares on Wax.

These new editions of Café Del Mar retain the original artwork, but are presented in a deluxe slipcase.

This was my first experience with Cafe Del Mar, and it prompted me to buy 5,7, and 8 - all of which I love. This one, more than the others, has a wide variety of sound. Although not as "mood setting" as the others - it is very entertaining.

Following the huge success the first volume, the Latina Cafe is back again with a double CD compilation. Disc one was compiled by Radio Latina 99FM's programmer Mario Scodinu (Paris) and with an impressive artist selection: Plena Libre, Fania all Stars, Cubanissimo, Carlinhos Brown, to name but a few. CD two showcases the new generation of artists specializing in Latino-inspired electronic music. The project was engineered by Fra (Latina Cafe) and Olivier Delachanal (Wagram International).

This is a fantastic disc if you like latin rythyms. The French, who are usually so clueless, have really hit the nail on the head in putting together this compilation of various artists. If you only buy this CD to hear Willy DeVille's version of "Hey Joe" you'll be getting your money's worth.
