5 out of 5 stars Glorious, as always.......2001-05-21

Global Com really has a thing all their own. It's really too bad that some candy flip rave kid accidentally bought it hoping for it to be some contrived, played out "lords of acid" type cheese. It is very deep music. It is music that may cause you to think, so if you are not given to contemplation... Actually buy it anyway. Its great.

4 out of 5 stars Guts and Glory.......2001-01-06

Hats off to the creators of this album. I had it for a while, after a friend gave it to me, fell in love with it, lost it somehow and am buying it again. It defies classification as all lasting original music does. It talks a bit of time to get into some tracks but it's so worth it. The making of this took guts and it's glorious.

5 out of 5 stars Oh Yes, this cd is a must!.......2000-11-12

Any of you who appreciate good ELECTRONIC music, not just "rave" music will love this album. Mark Pritchard and Tom Middleton do a great job mixing up their different guises by putting up all kinds of weird snippets and noises from their Reload, Global Communications and Link projects. Great production and even better imagination make this cd a great listen no matter what mood you're in. Some dope on amazon gave this one star, claiming it was terrible 'rave' music. Whoever said it was supposed to be rave music?? And more importantly, why the hell would it WANT to be rave music??? For idiots who enjoy crap music such as Lords Of Acid shouldn't bother with a fine piece of music such as Theory Of Evolution. Only people who have taste need apply here.

1 out of 5 stars You call this "Dance Music?" Puhleeeeeeeeeeeeze........1999-06-16

When I listened to this cd, I just laughed. If you want real dance music I recomend everybody to get "Lords Of Acid" (All of their cd's are very good) or "Happy Rave '95" Please everyone, don't waste your money on this cd. This cd is a disgrace. An absolute insult to techno, dance or any type of rave music. It's no wonder why their weren't that many people who bought this cd. And to all of you that did, get some help.

Album Description

Customer Reviews:

4 out of 5 stars Rare Blend - 'Evolution Theory' (TSM).......2005-01-17

Although fusion/jazz rock has never been my top favorite genre,I decided to give 'Evolution Theory' a four star rating because of the effort the band had put in to the making this CD.Ten cuts of tightly played and well written adventurous fusion is what the listener(s)get here.Overall,a nice rich sound.Tunes that I thought showed the most promise were the Middle Eastern-ish "Belly Dancer",the somewhat tribal "Fifty Thousand Years","Techno Jam" and "So Cool".Rare Blend obviously combines the elements of fusion, electric jazz and world music.Line-up:Vic Samalot-guitar,Bobby Holt-keyboards,vocals and didjeridu,Jeff Scott-bass and Paul Stranahan-drums.Just might appeal to SOME fans of Santana,Savoy Brown and Eric Clapton.Beautiful cover.

    5 out of 5 stars AzNDreamer.......2003-06-22

Listen to good music, listen to this. Also, listen to Jazz. Anyway, this band has great things ahead of them. Although this CD can't replace the thrill of seeing The Carolines live, this disc will no doubt make you a fan of their sound. It has a very ambitous sound of vintage rock/pop. If you enjoyed the beatles in their happy-go-lucky sgt. pepper days, then this disc is for you. Heck, even if you enjoy AFI and morbid death metal, this disc is really for you. But seriously, support this awesome band, take a listen. It wont hurt, I promise.

    5 out of 5 stars nice rockn'roll.......2003-06-11

Wow! Where to start? I love the classic rock feel to all of their songs. I can never find anything wrong with them ever since I went and saw them live last summer. I think one thing that makes them very cool, is that they are able to appeal to so many different people. No matter how old or how young you are, or where you're from. It's just nice old-fashioned rock and roll

5 out of 5 stars Jazzy keyboards and guitars bring a smile to my face!.......2003-02-02

I wound up seeing these guys quite by accident this weekend in Eugene Oregon, and wow did they ever rock the house. I've never seen an opening band work up a crowd like these guys. For a minute there I thought they were going to get an encore of their own. At any rate, I purchased this CD in the lobby and it is incredible. I can't wait for their first full-length CD to be released this winter. If you like jazzy, poppy, rockin' music give these guys a try, you wont be disapointed!

    5 out of 5 stars This one's a treat.......2002-06-04

The Carolines (formerly known as Trueb) hit the mother lode with this one. Thier Debut Album as the Carolines, "Don't Believe What You Hear," rises far above today's standards of "good music" this talented Oregon band gracefully makes the jump from small-town band to rock and roll stardom. If you haven't had a taste of their music, you must. It'll only take one song to addict you...
