Erich kunzel has recorded a wonderfully exhilerating item this time! Wonderfully exhuberant is mild compared to the lively playing Kunzel always gets from this great orchestra! Arrangements are mostly by Tommy Newsome who knows how to write charts of varying degrees of excellence, particularly the winsome "Girl from Ipanema" which compliments the lyrics endless reflections on a beautiful, bikini-clad young woman. "Sweet and Gentle" is a saucy number while Eric Knight, the only arranger to get the Boston Pops under Fiedler to swing to new heights, contributes an unforgettably boisterous account of "Lambada." The sound is full of punch and contrast. And Doc Severinsen plays in "Virgen" a marvelous soloistic stratospheric account. My advice is to buy this immediately. It's one hot album!

Telarc and Eric Kunzel never fail to amaze at the quality of their selections.

Even tough some of the arrangements here have a little too much
fanfare at the start they are still great to listen to.

Most of these melodies you have heard them at least once in you life. And they are reproduced here with the Kunzel magic.

    This is a great Bobby Orlando CD with a blend of Euro-Pop and High Energy music influence. It starts with "A Man Like Me" which is a nice dance tune, and continues with "Confusion" which sounds a bit on the New Wave side. Continues with "Now and Forever" a romantic slow dance song and proceeds with "Pump It Up"... a really faster song... but the really big hit is "Whisper to a Scream" which features Claudja Barry, here is where the value of the CD is placed... this 9 minute High Energy Disco song remains a favorite among 80's party people. "Mixed up World" sounds like a song that the Pet Shop Boys would've done, and "Somebody" will keep you wanting more of Bobby 'O'.. while "Hangin' On" is the final cut, it does end the CD with a slow song. Bobby 'O' continues to be the KING of Hi-N-RG and this Album now available on CD will make a great addition to your dance music collection. I recomend it.

    A great bit of English eccentricity in the tradition of the Bonzos. Former busker Mindless does a good set of eminently hummable songs with a great sense of twisted fun underpinning them. Almost guaranteed to offend the Religous Right, and I can't think of a better recommendation than that.

    The beautiful compositions performed by Lily Yuan on the yangqin, the Chinese dulcimer, are mystical and mesmerizing. The resonant music causes you to slow down from our rapid pace of modern living and just pause. . . to listen, reflect and absorb the notes, almost individually. A unique collection for inward-reflection.

    As a rare art, it would be an unbelievable experience to see the virtuoso, Lily Yuan, perform in a recital!

      The beats on this CD are a bit commercial but still good. 1,2,6,7,10,11 are my favorites. The mixing is very good and the CD moves ahead with a consistent progression. There is a little tribal and some real mellow garage sound synths. A couple of the drum loops get a little old, but nothing is perfect. If you like garage music, then this is a definite buy.
