Editorial Reviews
About the Artist
Urban Chill Session Two features two standout tracks from The Murgatroyd Trio who look to have a full length album out early next year. If you like K & D, their side projects or Cinematic Orchestra then check out these two stellar tracks. UCS2 also has a new cut from Water Engine who made their debut on Loungeworld. Look for their full length CD sometime next year as well. Recommended if you like Delirium or early Deep Forest. Misora's 'Sing Softly' is a heartbreakingly beautiful track in the massive Bristol style. Standout tracks from Inland, Wibble, 78@45 and Airglow, all making return appearances to the label, round out this excellent compilation. A great soundtrack to your perfect evening.

4 out of 5 stars refined and interesting- worth multiple listens.......2006-04-13

This one tops the first Urban Chill Session (and the name "Urban Chill" is a decent descriptor)- I prefer this compilation to the first one.
This CD is refined, and I've actually heard it in some swank bars (so it's not a complete secret to only DJ types).
Definitely interesting to listen to- pleasant, saavy, grooves make this CD worth multiple listens (murgatroid trio is a fave).

5 out of 5 stars Realy good album.......2004-06-24

I had a chance to pick up this album from a buddy of mine and I loved it. Flows very well from song to song. Very easy to listen to, you don't find yourself waiting for the next song praying its better than the one your listening to now. Ide recommend it.

5 out of 5 stars This is the ultimate chill out CD.......2004-04-17

I highly recommend this CD to anyone looking for some fantastic deep Dub and Chill music. I love listening to this after a night out at a club or bar. It's a nice calm after a loud club. Murgatroyd Trio and Water Engine are my favs but all these guys are makin top shelf muzik for sure.

Album Description

The first downtempo compilation from Two Words Records features a killer jazzed up beaty track from the Stuttgart-based Murgatroyd Trio and a smooth remix of the same track by Canadian-born downbeat trance artist Pulsetrain. Both on level with the best K&D has to offer. The track "Dean Wigs" is featured in the indie film "Gravity" and is superbly dubilicious. Don't miss the chilled out Boards of Canada-esque track by Texas-based visual artist Anjou. This little disc has something for everyone...from lovers of Zero 7 and Air to the smoked out beats of the Vienna sound.

Customer Reviews:

5 out of 5 stars Just a great album.......2004-07-13

I had a chance to listen to this album a few months ago and I must say, I am picky when it comes to music but the first song is a perfect introduction to a wonderful album. Nothing more needed to say, just a great album, pick it up.

5 out of 5 stars Fabulous Chill CD.......2004-04-17

I recommend this CD to anyone who digs Chill Muzik. Great compilation.

5 out of 5 stars Very Nice...........2003-07-28

The perfect mix of various downtempo styles. Truly something for everyone. The melancholy of "Notch" by misora or "Code" by 78@45, the quiet, abstract hip-hop of "Hit/Hold" by Thanks Barry or "The Big Moment" by by DJ Phrase.
A few have more of an synthy, electro feel, like "Dean Wigs", "Release" and "Luna". I listen to this one constantly. I recommend it if you like Moby, K&D, Massive Attack or Zero 7 try it out.
