TTF29 Still The Best.......2006-02-03
We're up to TTF 35 now, but TTF 29 is still the best!
The best TTF ever ??.......2005-03-31
I think so. I got this cd back in Sept. of '04 and have been reluctant to write a review about it. Mainly cause I couldn't get the right words together to express the way I feel about this album. But here it goes; CD 1 is flat out the best TTF cd I've ever heard, and questionably the best trance cd I've ever heard (out of about 200). I have to agree with two other reviewers about this album though. First with Martin, about how some songs, not all, get mixed in too soon and I can't fully enjoy the songs that get overlapped during the climax, like my favorite song on the album; Revelation. Secondly I have to agree with Richard. Look people, I came into the TTF world at vol.18 and since then I've heard no change in DJ Dean's style of trance. Now if he played harder stuff before vol.18, than I probably wouldn't have even liked it. And if people think that he's gone soft, then I feel sorry for them because I think that DJ Dean is playing the best stuff now that he's ever played. And this album is proof. My final word is actually this though; I honestly think that they took a page right out of the "Tunnel Goes Ibiza" series for TTF 29, and I love that idea. That means that Dean can put uplifting melodic masterpieces like "Destiny", "Whispers", and "Live 4 Music" and combine them with TTF's harder edge trance like "Twister", "Morning sun", and "Fly". I hope this is far from the last time that I hear such consistent talent, spanning both discs, on a TTF album. The best TTF EVER!!!!

Covering Tracks:
Well, I bought this CD with not much knowledge on the tracks other than a few. Actually, I got this CD almost only to hear track 16 on disc one, "Far Beyond" would sound like in a mix. I love this song, and anything else by Ralph Wegner for that matter (who goes under the alias "Twilight" for this song), though the remix of it is even better. There are some other songs that I really liked and heard before purchasing this CD. These were Revelation by Alphazone, Surprise by Next Exit, and Pump It! by Y.O.M.C., though unfortunately Surpirse was cut very short and was somewhat modified from the only version I know of...
...As for the rest of disc one though, it had many other tracks I was not familiar with, but were very good. Destiny by Pervading Call (Which has a very similar sound to Mental Theme, a true masterpiece, and of course is produced partially by Andreas Schmidt), the song after it, Whispers by Electrovoya, with a remix by Factoria. Pole Position was one I have never heard of remotely, though I thought was a great song, very well layed out and a good balance of sounds and pitches. One thing to note though, is Accuface's track "Happiness" is almost identacle to "Experience" on Tunnel Trance Force 28...
...The second CD was not as appealing to me as the first, but it did have some very good songs, for example I felt The Melody and The Message were very good. This CD seemed to have some stranger, par se, tracks as well I was not so fond of, mainly in the first half. DJ Choose & That Mucho's remix of I Feel Free was great though, as anticipated...so in the end, this double set had good tracks, though not quite as good as it's three predecessors...
Covering Sound Quality & Mixing:
To be perfectly honest with you guys, the mixing of these two CD's were not as good as the previous ones, Dean seemed to change the drumlineand/bassline while halfway through the climax, which really ruined the potency of some songs (for example Revelation would have been much better if he didn't overlap the climax), not to mention it sounded a little more rough. Though I wouldn't let this stop you from getting this set. As for sound quality, great as usual, no major pops or scratches from the vinyls used, or even noticable ones...
Final Statement:
This is still a great CD and I would not resist from getting it. It is true though, I would say that Dean has changed his style somewhat. I think what he changed mostly is he is using a larger variety of synths and drumlines, especially a wider variation of synths in the climaxes/buildups. And it is true that he has lessened the hard factor a tiny bit, but still (far) better than most other things out there. Covering this CD ina few words, I would say very good, though you may need to use that skip button...so in the I end, I say it was well worth it...
TOTALLY FREAKIN AWESOME!!.......2005-01-21
Hardcore trance fans....this CD is a must have!! Altho its not as hard as maybe TTF vol. 30, its still one of the greatest trance CDs out there!! DJ Dean you rock!!!!! CD 2 is the better of the two, but CD1 has some VERY good traxx! If ur looking to find other good TTF volumes, I recommend TTF vol. 5,7,14,and 26...along with this one of course. ^__^
TUNNEL TRANCE FORCE FAN FOR LIVE!!!
TTF gets BETTER.......2004-11-10
TTF 29 is a very good trance mixilation of the best ive heard from europe minus the cheese. The series is getting much better and volume 30 is awesome. This is very good also. I'd get all of the new TTF CD's. The series is getting better
