Customer Reviews:

4 out of 5 stars RATT's most underrated album.......2007-06-29

RATT's third album "Dancing Undercover" (1986) sounds a lot like the first two; Van Halen/KISS derivative hard-rock with a lot of impressive, screeching solos, songs concerning sexual escapades and melodic, sing-along choruses. This time around, however, while the writing is still strong, the songs have a certain looseness to them. The album's hit singles "Dance," "Slip of the Lip" and "Body Talk" have a certain swagger, a groove that makes them utterly irresistible. The rest of the album is also quite good, if not as strong as the singles.

"Dancing Undercover" is probably RATT's most underrated album, and I would rank it my second favorite of theirs right after the classic debut "Out of the Cellar." This isn't mold-breaking profound stuff here, but it is good, solid 80s rock. There isn't a lot of filler or obligatory generic power ballads on "Dancing Undercover;" in fact, there are no ballads at all. This album is ten songs worth of dated but totally fun, infectious pop-metal that fans of the genre will love.

"Dancing Undercover" has the advantage of not having any of its singles played to death on 80s comps or "retro-lunch" radio programs, so for those that love 80s melodic hard-rock, listening to this album will be a fresh and rewarding experience.

4 out of 5 stars a good example of 80's hard rock.......2007-01-26

Beau Hill's production may have made this album sound a bit slick, but regardless, it's shows a band at the top of their game with tight musicianship and hook-laden songwriting skills. It's not in my opinion the best album in the Ratt catalog, but it's still a solid effort. The guitar interplay between Warren DiMartini and Robbin Crosby is always interesting to hear, even if the overall sound could have been a bit more raw -- kind of like on Ratt's debut EP and first full-length LP. Still, if you're a die-hard Ratt fan, this album will find a way into your collection.

4 out of 5 stars 4.3.......2006-09-29

My 2nd Fav. RATT CD! Right behind the obvious "out of..". Great riffs here and a thick groove adds to most tracks. Great sounding as well. Best songs are "Looking for Love", "Slip of the Lip" and "Drive me Crazy". But there is little fluff material on this cd. Must have Ratt.

3 out of 5 stars Why come out of the cellar just to hide undercover?.......2006-08-30

Ratt here produced a hardrock album that is quite interchangeable with so many second tier bands of their time. LA Guns and Motley Crue are both prime examples of similar contenders. However where Crue produced Dr Feelgood to shift themselves to another place, neither LA Guns nor Ratt managed a similar trick.

But it ain't all bad. Solid riffing and vox that aren't great but at least suit the music and the whole album riding a hard rock, down and dirty groove are three things that it has going for it. Lyrically this is party hard rock with no excuses for wanting to have a good time all the time. With more luck this band could of taken off - I mean this is a better album than Motley Crues Theatre of Pain and on a par with most of Girls Girls Girls. Rather amusingly the band actually had a song on the soundtrack to the weird Eddie Murphy movie The Golden Child - Body Talk.

Beau Hills production fits the music here, not totally clean and teflon coated but actually suited to the bands Ratt 'n' roll sound and the overall feel is that the band by this stage were seasons professionals doing a job. Yet that is also part of the problem. The hard work didn't pay off and even by this stage Ratt were consigned to also-ran status unalbe to come up with the killer tune to breat the big time or generate the excitement the Crue did even when their music sucked.

80's fans should pick up this and Reach for the Sky as they are the two best and most accessible tunes of the genuine Ratt years (ie ignoring reunions etc) and they ain't half bad slabs or party rawk rock.

5 out of 5 stars Ratt n' Roll will never die!!.......2006-02-25

What can I say?? My 2nd favorite band of all time. I was fortunate enough to catch these guys in concert 3 times. Ratt consisted of five of the most talented musicians of that era in my opinion. Warren DeMartini is still my favorite guitarist to date. I won't bother listing any songs because this whole cd is awesome. All I can say is: "buy it", "buy it", "buy it".

5 out of 5 stars Instruments of the Orchestra - Great Reference Material!.......2007-04-04

This set lends itself to greatly enhancing one's knowledge of the orchestra, instruments in it, and their usage. I am a huge music buff, and I still picked up a great deal I previously did not know. I highly recommend this for all who wish to understand the origin of music, as well as the processes that are employed to create music!

5 out of 5 stars Beginner or Expert.......2007-03-12

This CD is excellent for the beginner or expert! To be able to haear the instrumets separately and then together really provides a good education. and/or refresher. The book thaty comes with the CD is alomost worth the price by itself!

5 out of 5 stars Very Informative and Enjoyable.......2006-11-20

Whether you're a music novice or pro, "The instruments of the Orchestra" is a very worthwhile purchase. The 7 CDs, with a total of 8 hours, are expertly narrated by Jeremy Siepmann. He's a great speaker, very much like the late Leonard Bernstein was. Mr. Siepmann takes you on an unforgetable musical journey covering the origins and use of the various orchestral instruments throughout musical history. The balance between his narration and a wealth of musical examples, which range from snippets to entire movements, is superb. The comprehensive enclosed booklet is excellent and faithfully follows the 7 CDs in content. Even with my 40+ years of music training I still learned new things from this wonderful collection. Considering the excellence of the content, and a cost that translates to about $5 per disc, this collection is a great value. Grab it, you won't regret that you did. Five solid stars!

3 out of 5 stars Frank's view.......2006-08-19

This boxed set of CD's with booklet achieved all I had hoped that it would. There are good samples of individual instruments and well done commentary on each. The only drawback was that some of the samples were too brief and could have been longer, hoiwever I guess this fits in with time constraints of the medium. It has given me a lot of clues as to future purchases of CD's for listening to individual instruments. Altogeth a satisfactory purchase and a welcome addition to my collection.

5 out of 5 stars Excellent Intro for Those Not Familiar with the Orchestra.......2003-11-08

I've listened to classical music for years and am interested in composition. I bought this CD set to learn how an orchestra and its instruments work. I thought the CDs would be a nice but boring lecture. They aren't! Not only are they FUN but they are informative as well. I learned a huge amount from each CD and couldn't wait to listen to the next one.

The narrator and writer is a great speaker and holds your attention well. He is definitely knowledgeable. He provides musical examples for each point he makes, so you get to "hear" what he just talked about. I'd say the CDs are about 65% music and 35% narration. You'll learn about the range of instruments, some history, different ways to play them, how they sound, and how they are used in the orchestra. This CD set was a great learning experience and is sold at such a low price!

I recommend this CD for those who want to learn about classical music and those who know about it but are interested in learning more about the inner workings of an orchestra. You'll learn much useful information. For instance, the Rite of Spring (with that eerie start) is written for bassoon! I never knew a bassoon could sound like that but now I do.

The one complaint I have is the last CD. This deals with the orchestra. I wanted more of a tour of how the orchestra has been used through history up to the present. Instead, it was a tour of how different groups of instruments sound. I thought it could have been better. The other 6 CDs are excellent.

1 out of 5 stars Sometimes the Pain of Love has nothing to do with S&M.......2007-01-25

In this case, it's the pain of loving the Stones so much, you've sworn to listen to EVERY one of their albums. I made that decision, and while I enjoyed most of what I heard, this one was a mistake. Keep your distance, even if you're a Stones maniac like I am: with the exception of two songs, the difference between the good songs and the bad songs are that they COMPLETELY embarrass themselves on the bad ones, and only partially on the good ones.

THE GOOD:
She Was Hot. The best song here, new wave with heavy guitars. Engagingly smutty, this is htekind of song the Stones did best.
Undercover of the Night. Not a great song by any means, but better than 80% of the album.

THE BAD:
Wanna Hold You. Generic, braindead rock n' roll, it's pretty much the Stones going through the motions.
Too Much Blood: A disco song with horror-themed lyrics, including references to An Officer and a Gentlemen; the Texas Chainsaw Massacre and cannibalism, ruined by Jagger's random raps and the fact that disco isn't all that great in the first place.
All the Way Down: a pseudo-ballad with some amusing lyrics, but otherwise it doesn't work out.

THE UGLY:
Tie You Up (the Pain of Love): the Stones' answer to the Velvet Underground's Venus in Furs lyrically, in that both are about S&M. But while Lou Reed made poetry of the then-taboo subject, Mick and the boys come off sounding like a cartoonish charciture, drenching it with distracting mid-'80's production to boot.
Feel on Baby: WHO told the Stones they could play reggae? Whoever did was a misinformed liar.
Pretty Beat Up: Describes me after suffering through this song/album.
Too Tough: Essentially the same song as Pretty Beat Up, which wasn't that great to begin with.
It Must Be Hell: A standard '80's rocker with embarrassing political lyrics that (sadly) foreshadow some of Dirty Work.

Arguably the worst thing the Stones ever did. The '80's weren't a good time for them: even the much-lauded Tattoo You is (to me) mediocre and half-baked, not to mention bombs such as this and Dirty Work. For GOOD '80's Stones, I'd check out Emotional Rescue, the only decent album from that period. Or you could buy virtually anything else - even Goats Head Soup; 12x5; December's Children and Satanic Majesties are better.

2 out of 5 stars throw away.......2006-11-11

one of their weaker efforts. When they are on they are the top rock act but when they bomb HOLD YOUR NOSE!!

4 out of 5 stars decent forgotten record.......2006-10-09

Here is why I love Amazon....because you get a mix of views....Is this the lost Stones gem? Sort of....its unique in the Stone catalogue....they have made sleazer records (Goats head soup where excess overwhelms them)...they made a record where they jammed for the sack of trying out Ron Wood (Black and Blue)....but this one is different and unique.....if you take it as a one of a kind in the catalogue then you can relax and enjoy it! They have some funky jungle beats.....not too bad on the 80's production (that would mark in my mind dirty work as there worst record to date). Perhaps it was the political climate in latin America in the Regan 80's or just the inter fighting starting to pull Mick and Keith apart....but this is a dark, bloody record with some killer grooves. I can't go through track by track because others have (and did a decent job here)....however do not ignore the second half of record as some of suggested...its great. A dark, sometimes bloody, with sex and sleaze through in for good measure, STones record........I like it.....no its not there greatest, its by no means their worst....its unique! Enjoy

4 out of 5 stars Undercover..........Underrated! .......2006-09-23

This is the first Stones album I ever owned. I got it for Christmas when I was 12. For these reasons I feel I can give an unbiased review of this record.

I agree with others who think this is not their best. Other than "Tattoo You", "Undercover" is the only other album of their's from the 80's worth getting. At times it does sound a little dated. Probably the only thing that makes this record awkward.

The thing I like about this album is that it's good 'ol raunchy Stones. A very dark album, too. Sex and violence just pours out of it. Looking back I probably shouldn't have had this when I was a pre-teen. LOL

Good production. Catchy tunes. Sounds good cranked at home or in the car. I will say that this probably shouldn't be the first Stones album you listen to. Dig through your parents records and see if they have any early 70's Stones. "Sticky Fingers" is a good place to start. Work you way up to this album.

2 out of 5 stars Why?.......2006-05-19

I have to disagree with the folks who claim this is some underappreciated gem. I do agree, however, with the reviewer who claimed that this is the album that non-Stones fans might like. Does that sound like what you'd like to know about a Stones album; that it doesn't sound like one Stones fans would like? Regardless, he hits the nail on the head. This album is not very good. I love the Stones, and like a parent with their children, I have a hard time finding fault, but my God, this is really not good at all. One reviewer tries to rationalize support of this album with historical data, but if they can put out the much better Dirty Work in the midst of literally being at each other's throats, what excuse can they have for this poor effort?
The title track is good, the follow up, She Was Hot, works well enough despite the title sounding far too much like a flip-side to She's So Cold. Tie You Up has some nifty stinging licks and some raunchy lyrics, but then the album goes quickly down hill. Keith's requisite number, Wanna Hold You, as well as Too Much Blood, with the really out of place and forced macabre rap, and Pretty Beat Up (does this song go anywhere?) sound like outtakes from their respective solo efforts, so you wonder how in the world they ended up as actual inclusions on a genuine Stones album. Feel On is the reggae inclusion and not a very good one, and the last three songs, Too Tough, All The Way Down, and It Must Be Hell, finally get back to Stones riff and roll, but it is too little too late.
I remember when this first came out, it had some stickers inside the album sleeve that you could affix to the album. When you start pulling out tricks that Kiss usually stoops to, you know something is wrong. Of the many albums this group has available, either start with England's Newest Hitmakers and move forward or move backward from A Bigger Bang. By the time you hit this black hole of Stones music, you'll know why this one simply falls way short of their best.

Product Description

Traditional Chinese instruments meet Hip-Hop & Jazz. An experiment in cross-cultural soundscapes, The Shanghai Restoration Project draws its creative inspiration from the old 1930s Shanghai jazz bands, an early combination of East and West that's become an international legend. The Project revives this exotic blend by introducing Eastern instruments and rhythms to the Western sounds of hip-hop, jazz, and pop. The Shanghai Restoration Project debuted as MSN Music's "New Artist of the Week" in early 2006 and became the #1 selling electronic album on the site during the month of January. Since then, it has appeared in iTunes' Top 20 Electronic Albums in the US, UK, Australia, Canada, Europe, and Japan. To date, tracks from the project have been featured in various advertisements, television shows, and promotions. In November 2006, the project was featured as the "Single of the Week" in iTunes Japan. In early 2007, the introductory track was selected as the theme song for a worldwide advertisement campaign for Kenzo Parfums.

Customer Reviews:

5 out of 5 stars Wow!!.......2007-07-03

This album has such a sophisticated sound and it's very creative. I haven't heard a fusion of music like this before. Truly East meets West. I love all the tracks. If you have the chance, make sure you listen to the Reinterpretations album. They've re-recorded a bunch of tracks from the CD.

5 out of 5 stars A simple and exotic blend.......2007-06-08

I heard a sample track of this CD from a friend of mines and love the blend of traditional music, jazz, hip hop and easy listening to this CD. I am glad to have gotten this CD and am waiting for another sequel.

5 out of 5 stars Fusion music at its best!.......2007-05-15

Extending across the genres of jazz, pop, dance, and hip-hop, The Shanghai Restoration Project is a unique offering that blends Chinese traditional instruments with English vocals and Western styling. Bold artistic statements like this are a sign of the future, and really reflect Dave Liang's visionary style and Chinese American background. Avenue Joffre and the various incarnations of Miss Shanghai are my picks for the best "hits" out of the lot, but all of the tracks are particularly well done. A definite buy for anyone who enjoys innovative music!

5 out of 5 stars Beautiful CD.......2007-04-16

This CD is truly fantastic. Their music is fresh, funky yet chilled. There isn't one track I don't like. They are the best, most original new band I've heard in ages.

5 out of 5 stars Sexy and Original.......2007-04-12

This album is amazing. Perfect for lounges and relaxing time.
My favorites are: Miss Shanghai, Babylon of the Orient, Lu Xun, Avenue Joffre, Pudong New District and The Bund... Pretty much all the tracks. :)

Firstly, I can not get this album in Australia, thanks Amazon! Ill Niño's 2 new tracks are great, admittedly not their best. As for the covers, don't know the original 'Red Rain' but like it. 'Territorial Pissing' is an excellent cover with Ill Niño's distinctive branding and 'Zombie Eaters' is an awesome tribute to Faith No More, stand-out track.

3 out of 5 stars Not bad, but nothing like their first two........2007-04-21

If you are a big fan of them, this is worth checking out, but otherwise, stick to their first two albums and until they put something out that is really good again, just live in the past. 2.5 stars.

ill nino is one of my fav bands. when i found out about this ep i looked for it right away...i mean come on its a limited edtion ep. anyways the two new songs are amazing and do not disapoint. And the covers....just amazing this whole ep is just amazing. ill nino has major talent and you can hear it all on this record. if your a fan of ill nino and do your self a fav and get this ep before you cant.

Great record but it's not like ther others before like Revolution Revolucion or Confession.

5 out of 5 stars 5 stars for 5 tracks.......2007-01-15

a good song to start with. "ARRASTRA" blasting on my radio reminds me of what rock music used to be. the band puts on a new twist for"RESERVATION FOR TWO" which also makes this track worth listening to."ZOMBIE EATERS" featuring chino moreno. a perfect song for a perfect guest on an album. chino brings a little extra spice to the band. "RED RAIN" just close your eyes when listening to this track. christian does a hell of a job on vocals sounding identical to peter gabriel, which makes it the perfect song for the band to cover. another cover the band decided to do, and do well "TERRITORIAL PISSING" kurt cobain would be proud. the band covers this song very well.

5 out of 5 stars Sweet sax.......2007-06-16

Oh, my what a sweet, sweet sax Paul Taylor plays. I play Undercover over and over and over. Paul's sax is clear, yet not overpowering. It's laid back yet playful and forceful at times. Taylor is one awesome sax player.

4 out of 5 stars Great for serious jazz lovers!.......2006-04-06

I was online searching the smooth jazz artists as I do from time to time and Paul Taylor's name appeared. I listened to most of the songs on the computer and loved them. I was a bit disappointed to get the CD and hear that there was a vocal cut on it(I LOVE instrumental jazz, let the instrument do the speaking). Having said that, the CD is fantastic, I really am pleased overall with what I heard, so much so, that I ordered Hypnotic the same day. This type of jazz is so smooth, it makes you want to turn off all the lights in the house, light the candles around the bathtub, get your favorite beverage and transform yourself into another space. Great job Paul.

5 out of 5 stars Silky Sax Sounds.......2003-12-15

Paul Taylor is a reminiscent combination of the best sounds that came from Marion Meadows and the late George Howard. The fluidity of his musical notes eminate from his very soul. If you don't have this one, you're missing one of the best.

5 out of 5 stars Soft and Romantic.......2001-11-08

I have all of Paul Taylor's CDs and Undercover is one of my favorites. All the songs are soft, romantic, relaxing, and have a good beat. When I first purchased Undercover, I listened to it over and over again. Check it out. You won't be disappointed.

5 out of 5 stars Hooked On Jazz.......2001-08-11

I had the opportunity to hear this artist live at a jazz concert for the first time this summer. The smooth and sultry sounds of the sax come across loud and clear, inticing you to want more. This exposure made me search out the CD 'Pleasure Seeker'at Amazon.com. I hope to add more artists of this type to my music collection. Nice CD for easy listening with an upbeat tempo. AWESOME!!!

Amazon.com

As could be ascertained from songs like "Play That Funky Music (White Boy)" and "Undercova Funk," the keyword for the nugget-filled Undercover Brother soundtrack is funk. In other words, prominently twanging bass lines, swinging saxophones and horns, and syncopated gymnastics abound on this instant party mix. Whether political (James Brown, Gil Scott-Heron), empowering women (Kool & the Gang, Cheryl Lynn), or championing good old-fashioned love (the O' Jays), the choice cuts included are timeless and (mostly) not too overplayed. Only when the album tries to modernize these classics does it lose its freshness. Snoop Dogg's version of "Undercova Funk" is successful thanks to guests like Bootsy Collins, but Lil' J's 2002 version of "I Need Luv" drags aimlessly for over six minutes, and the "Theme from Undercover Brother" is a pale cool-cat imitator. Nevertheless, the album is undoubtedly a perfect funk compilation for any occasion--just add grooviness and stir. --Annie Zaleski

4 out of 5 stars funky satisfaction.......2007-07-18

I went to high school and college in the seventies and the soundtrack from Undercover Brother was a lot of the music I listened to during that time and I really enjoyed hearing it again.

1 out of 5 stars Undercover Brothers.......2007-03-13

I wanted the movie DVD but I got the CD instead. I am not happy.

4 out of 5 stars Good.......2005-03-08

There are some cool R&B and funk old school songs, but what's amusing is that the 'white' songs that appeared in the movie (*Nsync's "Here We Go" and Willa Ford's "I Wanna Be Bad") are absent, I suppose because they were only used in comical situations in the movie, and trying to be portrayed as bad music. Anyways. This is alright.

5 out of 5 stars a missing piece to an awesome puzzle.......2004-10-29

this cd rocks. it has the best songs from the movie and they're good to sing along to. the best songs include " ladies night", "the theme song" and all of the funk songs. the only song i think should be on there is the famous "ebony and ivory" song which is sung by undercover brother as a dork and the white-she devil. but if you're looking for a well constructed soundtrack to a hilarious and classical movie, this is worth the money.

5 out of 5 stars Funkadelic.......2004-10-07

This CD rocks. Anybody know why this movie was only in theaters for 2 weeks? It was so friggin good.

5 out of 5 stars you're a star, you truly are..........2007-01-04

Lovely classic disco. Found the 45' vinyl "undercover lover" in a thrift store for about £2. One of the best disco tunes ever. The album's nice too.

4 out of 5 stars Disco doesn't get much better than this.......2006-08-04

I disagree with the viewers reviews of this cd. I have an $8000.00 B/O stereo, & I think it sounds great. Much better than all my cds prior to the mid-nineties. Yes the first thing I noticed is that the first beat of Undercover Lover is cut & the songs are slightly shorter. I was a little diappointed, but I've been waiting over 20 years for this cd. This label Has released all the Sabu productions. I feel they'er all impeccable. By the way, Unidisc has always been known for their import quality being better than domestic releases! I highly recommend all these Sabu produced releases.

5 out of 5 stars this is classic disco at it's best........2006-07-09

Although the sound quality of this cd could be better, It still sounds better than the vinyl copy I have. I mainly enjoy playing it full blast in my car. Paul Sabu was way ahead of his time as this was released back in 1978 and it still sounds great today. The sultry vocals of Debbie Jacobs go hand in hand with the hypnotic beats of this disco-classic, masterpiece.

1 out of 5 stars This is a classic disco album that's unfortunately butchered on this cd.......2005-10-18

How disappointed I was when I finally got this disc and put it in my player. My first clue that this was a shoddy release was the quality of the graphics. The blacks in the cover art have an odd uneveness to them. I would not be surprised to learn that the disc inserts (which only include the back card and front cover; no liner notes or other photos included) were printed on a home printer by whomever is running this "getdisconnected" label.

When the first note of "Undercover Lover" began, I immediately thought that perhaps I had not listened carefully. How could it be that part of the first note could be cut off? So I hit the "back up" button on my cd player remote and discovered that, in fact, the first note is slightly truncated.

I was listening with a friend who doesn't even know the title track of this album that well, though he did recently buy the original 45 rpm single after I played him my copy of the 12" single. We both quickly noticed that the tape (or turntable, since I'm not actually convinced that this cd came from a master tape) used to source the cd was running fast.

Only 30 seconds into playing this cd and I was already lamenting having purchased. I continued playing the title track and was unimpressed with the sound quality. If this was taken from a master tape, the EQ choices used in the remastering were poor. This cd sounds much more "thin" than the original vinyl and, though I didn't think it possible, sounds worse than the title track does on an early Unidisc label compilation I have that is notorious for marginal sound quality. I would not be surprised to learn that this cd was sourced from vinyl and processed using consumer level computer tools to attempt to mask the noise from the vinyl playback. (This would also explain the truncation of the first note.) Even if this cd is vinyl sourced, the quality of the cartridge used and/or the EQ choices were poor since good vinyl playback is much, much better than what's delivered here.

The kicker for me was that when the title track was ending, I got the feeling that it was faded early. I'll have to check it out again later to be certain, but the fade certainly didn't match my memory.

If you're interested in this cd, you probably already have the vinyl lp. If you do already have the vinyl lp, don't bother with this cd. Perhaps someday Universal Music (which now presumably controls this material having acquired the MCA catalog) will give this a proper cd release. For now, however, the original album is the way to go.

5 out of 5 stars Disco Classic.......2005-06-21

"Undercover Lover" and "Don't You Want My Love" were Number 1 Disco Hits back in the day. They still hold up today. Great release! Buy it, you won't regret it.

5 out of 5 stars A great addition to any collection!.......1999-04-24

I purchased this CD because I heard "Summertime" played on the radio. Once I heard it I absolutely had to find out where to get it in a hurry. You can't possibly listen to Weisberg's rendition without your body wanting to move with the music -- it's possibly the best I've ever heard. The other pieces are in keeping with this quality of performance. It seems as though Weisberg put everything he had into each and every selection! It moves from sultry to exotic to pure jazz, forming one dynamic listening experience. Wonderful!

I'm anxiously waiting for "New York Undercover" to be put out on DVD. Hoolllaaa!

4 out of 5 stars UnCovered!.......2004-09-14

For all of you diehard New York Undercover fans waiting for the detective drama to surface on DVD some day, this selection will walk you down memory lane quenching your thirst in the interim. It was definitely a flashback ride! Listening to this CD, I could actually pin each of the songs to a particular episode and scene. You will enjoy it. I also recommend its sister soundtrack - New York Undercover: A Night At Natalie's.

5 out of 5 stars A Gem of A CD...........2000-12-17

....I was into getting a bunch of these 90's soundtrack CDs because they usually turned out to be a compilation of singles from various artists rather than the Jerry Goldsmith/Lalo Schifrin/Bernard Herrmann style of instrumental orchestrations to fit the filmed scenes...there's nothing wrong with those and I would not have been disappointed if they had put more of the James Mtume instrumental pieces threwn throughout the TV program in this CD, but what they've done here is aii-ght. All cuts are good and they even forshadowed a Guy reunion and K-Ci and JoJo Hailey in their first "non-Jodeci" cut. I particularly digs from track 7 on...the Lost Boys' "Jeeps, Lex Coups, Bimaz and Benz" and a great groovin' slow jam by Anthony Hamilton and Terri Robinson "I Will Go" sets it off right. This CD has been somewhat hard to find...it's great Amazon.com has it.
