This is going to sound ignorant but what is "2-step garage" music. I really like craig david and when i was downloading his songs i saw he did some collaborations with artful dodger. Who exactly is he, or is artful dodger a big group of people. I'm so confused. Help me understand.

The Artful Dodger Brings Back The Real Taste Of Garage Music.......2004-05-06

Having been a huge garage fan back in the day of its popularity and also having bought their first compilation a year earlier, The Artful Dodger have once again mixed up a great collection of the UK's finest garage groups such as Robbie Craig, Lenny Fontana and the classic from B-15 Project.

Before the take-over by England's big record label heads who turned garage into pop music garbage, this album showed people the real sound of traditional UK garage music over two discs of consistantly addictive beats and exceptional MC'sing skills. The whole compilation is a highlight and will be looked upon as one of those that showed people what the real sound of garage is.

Artful Doger?.......2002-05-20

I was doing a search on Artful Dodger in hopes of finding their first album when I came across what appears to be a conflict. As far as I knew, Artful Dodger was a 70's band with such hits as "Scream" and "Wayside". It seems there is another band called Artful Dodger from the UK that plays some kind of (In my opinion) terrible jungle music. Is it even legal for them to use the same name as the classic 70's power pop band? I notice that when you do find an album by the "Original" Artful Doger, it's mixed in with selections from the "New" Artful Dodger which isn't even close to being the same type of music. I guess I'm just a bit appauled and confused by this. I wonder how many people bought one or the other thinking it was something else. Sorry, this has really been bugging me and I needed to voice my opinion. What if you did a search for Pink Floyd or Lynyrd Skynyrd and when you got your selection, it turned out to be a CD loaded with Disco music or something? Somebody should do something to straighten this out.

Okay, so 2 step garage never took the US like storm like everyone was saying, that doesn't mean I still can't like it!
And The Artful Dodger are pretty fun!

Wicked set of tunes. Not the hardcore two step but very danceable .A lovely collection. Could have done without the Sisqo Track. Love to see artiste like Ritchie Dan branching out!
