3 out of 5 stars yes you are a snob.......2000-01-20

sure this is a marketing exercise, but its fun. Tomita's electronic Debussy may not be to your taste, but its a beautiful fusion of Japanese and Western sensibilities overlain and underpinned by the combination of the electronic and classical genres, which can only be appreciated by those with a truly musical soul

1 out of 5 stars Marketing boys and their marketing toys.......1999-07-08

I hate to sound like a snob, but it's hard to imagine anyone over the age of 5 being at all intrigued by this silly little CD. The music is great, well mostly great, of course, and a couple of the performances (Reiner's "Zarathustra," Gould's "Grand Canyon") are among the best out there. Others (Tomita's awful synthesized Debussy) scrape the bottom of the barrel. The big question is WHO is likely to enjoy something like this? Only children and adults with very, very limited attention spans who don't like really classical music, I'll wager.

5 out of 5 stars Awsome!.......2000-12-26

A must for your CD collection. You will be dancing throughout the whole CD. Totally awsome! This CD is highly recommended. Worth buying! So, what are you waiting for?

5 out of 5 stars DANCEABLE!.......2000-08-30

THIS CD HAS SOME OF THE BADDEST PLAYERS ON THE PLANET! EVERYONE MAKES A CONTRIBUTION TO THE WHOLE WITHOUT MAKING IT JUST ONE PLAYERS ALBUM. BERMUDEZ REALLY COMES INTO HIS OWN AS A SONGWRITER AND PRODUCER AND MOST IMPORTANTLY UNDERSTANDS THAT THIS IS DANCE MUSIC. EVERY CUT IS IMPECABLY EXECUTED. MY PERSONAL FAVORITES ARE MAMITA LINDA AND COMPARSA BERMUDEZ.I THINK ARMANDO SAYS IT ALL IN HIS ASESSMENT(see cd cover ) AM I RIGHT? !!!

5 out of 5 stars New Directions for Latin Jazz.......2000-08-17

Jorge Bermudez's "Are the Women Dancing" has a little something for everyone. There are "light jazz" numbers, covers of top ten hits, and (my favorite) more groove oriented, almost experimental tunes with hints of world music. You don't hear a lot of salsa with violin in it, but the instrument is used wonderfully on this CD, adding unexpected emotional overtones and depth. The production is first class and the mix is impeccable. I highly recommend it!

5 out of 5 stars To my countrymen "Congratulations" HOT CD!.......2000-08-08

I have known Jorge Bermudez since the late 60's as we both grew up playing and performing our music in the bay area of San Francisco with many of the same musicians and associates, I am very impressed with his new production "BERMUDEZ TRIANGLE" lots of great musicians serving their talents, great variety of arrrangements and rythms, a must for Latin Music Lovers to add to their collection. I will be playing this CD on my radio show "The Latin Music Show" here in Honolulu Hawaii Great CD! Respectfully yours. Rolando Sanchez & Salsa Hawaii
