Attention MTV: Rap and hip hop are dying!!

Solution : Bring MTV back to showing videos from all different genres.

Also, great way to make a ton of money here.....re-release DVD's of classic 1980's videos. People like me who long for the days of big hair, british invasions will easily plop down 24.95 for a DVD compliation of these great videos (ie, Bryan Adams, The Cars,ect ect). I know MTV now is an advertisement machine designed to put on as many commercials as possible and 15 second video clips to make kids buy the record or mp3, but if i remember, MTV had a much larger following back in the 80's because it was better programming

With an impresssive track listing this compilation doesn't disappoint.The most valuable thing here is you get songs that are rarely (if ever) on 80's compilations (for example "Don't Put Another Dime in the Juxebox" or "Why Me".) Now if I had a dollar for every 80's compilation that "Too Shy" or "Come On Eileen"appears on,I'd have a wad of cash. It is understandable why they are on here since they were heavily rotated videos on MTV in 1983. My only compliant is that an accompanying video compilation DVD or VHS Tape is not made.Also why not more CD compilations for the Class of 1985,1985,1986 and so on....

Mtv was at it's best and pop was never better. This collection from 1983 has some of the best songs from that great year in music. I have many 80s collections for the various singles but this is the best. "Reap the Wild Wind" soars, "Lies" is rump moving joy, "In A Big Country", "Come on Eileen" and "Always Something There to Remind Me" are pop at their finest but some of the more obscure tracks are what make this so great: "Working Girl" and "Don't Put Another Dime in the Jukebox" are examples.

This is a great collection and worth every penny. There is a good range of material available on these 2 CDs, and it is worth adding to your collection if you are missing those good old days of the 80's new wave and rock! I only wish this CD was part of a collection of CD's, like Class of 82, Class of 84 etc, because if it was, I would buy them for sure!

Wrong info.......2005-04-10

The running order and tracks lsited on Amazon are not correct. This is the top 40 single and a re-edited 12" version from the first album. All is good except, the individual tracks are cut into 20 second parts and the whole CD has someting like 40 small tracks instead of 2.

I'll let you know when I get a good CD..........2006-06-05

This isn't a review really. I've ordered probably about 100 CD's from Amazon in the past year. Fillin' up my iPod with genuine copies of music. Of those roughly 100 CD's, I've only got one defective, this one. So, I asked for a replacement. Got another defective one! If I got two defective of the same CD, and nothing else I've got from Amazon has been defective, makes me think they got a defective batch.

Uggh, this is a terrible remix from the one of the worst bands out there: Scissor Sisters. Ooooohhh, they took the songs from their debut and threw in another keyboard! What a great Remix! NOT! All this time I thought that only bands who had talent and wrote their own songs were worthy of remixes. I can't believe the Scissor Sisters took one of the greatest song in Rock (Comfortably Numb), and turned it into a radio friendly dance song! Ahh! What's next? Ashlee Simpson doing Stairway To Heaven? If you want some GOOD remixes, try any of the Nine Inch Nails remix albums, whixh rock. Trent takes the amazing songs he writes and turns them into something completely new- almost as if you've never heard the song before. This sucks.

I Love this album, they did a great job remixing their songs and 2 b-sides. Electrobix wich talks about being gay and feeling weird and The Skins which talks about cheating on someone via internet. The remixes are great especially the FILTHY/GORGEOUS remix!

What's better than a Scissor Sisters album? The remix album, of course! You have to hear the remix of "Comfortably Numb," and the extended version of "Filthy/Gorgeous" is simply amazing! These guys get better and better. No wonder why they're the fastest-selling group around!

I loved this song so much I thought I would buy a CD with different mixes to enjoy it even more. I was wrong. There is one decent remix and the other two are horrible. The fourth remix, the original, is still the best. Buy the single on I-tunes.

a very overlooked masterpiece. fried funk & microchips is a delight, its refreshing to the senses enough said! march of the cybemen is a full throttle rush to the head! 3000 is very swift and slick. art of cybernetics has this reggae robot rhythm going all the way i'm really feeling it, for funks sake is trippy you get the 180 several times throughout the song very unexpected, i can't stop has a nice lay back dance/funk feel to it, nothing hectic just get down on the dance floor probably the best song in the entire album- first class ticket to telos would be his opus, absolutely great funk no wonder its the title for the album and finally feedback is beautifully textured gives the feel your flying- has a very nice ambience feel to it. a must have for elec. fans

Free, funky, and flooded with powerful, grinding, yet, surprisingly uplifting synths and drumbeats. This album really is an eclectic mess of danceable, sometimes disco-y grooves and trippy, toy like ambience. It fills you up and never let's you down. I like the ODB sample. Or, maybe, it's Rick James.
