About the Artist
Believe it or not music careers can start at age 6. I started out playing the bells for a school production. We used to have "Career Day" where professionals from all walks of life would come in and tell us about their jobs. I found the normal approach to a job not interesting. That was until a DJ from a local R&B radio station came in. His voice was one so recognized with his deep delivery and the type of music he played sparked something in me. At that point I knew exactly what I wanted to do. His time on the radio exposed me groups like Mandrill, War, Cold Blood, Jimi Hendrix, LL Cool J, Run DMC and other artists. At home, I was exposed to the likes of Elvis, The Beatles and Jefferson Airplane. To add to the mixture was the talents of my grandfather who played tenor saxophone for the U.S. Navy’s Band. "He was into John Coltrane, Dizzy Gillespie and other jazz greats. All of this exposure led me into being a musician. I went on to play music with a local rock band, then touring with other groups. These led to being classically trained on upright bass by a music instructor who was a former member of Johnny Carson’s Tonight Show band. This training helped me to properly establish discipline. I learned the discipline and then through out the "rule" book in search of diversity. I then moved on to perform with a punk band for several years. Studio work came calling next which led to producing several indie releases. Most recently produced "Tragic Phenomena" for hip-hop artist, Toobiz, Alton Beck, Berta Benally, The MariHelens, Regular White Guys and Bullets of Undistinguishable Composition. As DJ THUNDERMIXX, we’ve also consulted with several up and coming groups from Arizona such as BLACKFIRE, Ethic De Generation, Radmilla Cody, Dying Tribe, NosotroSound, The SOOFAkings and many other artists in various genres. Throughout his career, DJ THUNDERMIXX has pursued a level of artistic integrity and un-compromised musical excellence that has! been an inspiration and has been appreciated by fans all over the world. Via the Internet’s superhighway, word of mouth, music reviews and advertising. He’s a pioneer songwriter, musician, instrumental "constructionists" and production stylists. The music industry is hopefully in a rebuilding stage and we want to be part of the "new" age of music that transcends from the norm and reaches people all over the world.

1 out of 5 stars Boring, amateurish waste of $$ and time.......2005-08-31

Based on the price and the self-promoting hype describing this disc, I expected a worthwhile listen. Anybody can burn a CD, but this guy should have been stopped long before things went this far.
They rhymes are forced, the tunes are dated, production is amateurish and "spoken word" apparently is today's catch phrase for "I can't sing."
Forget this. It's worse than throwing money away, because the evidence of your bad taste remains behind to taunt you. The best part of this CD was putting it in the microwave and flaming it. At least the colors were real.
