I love the sound that heard on this record. First I heard about this record in Zero mag from San Jose and then went and got a copy. Spacewalkers has some great house tracks, with great production, radio friendly as hell! Then Cynyc wow, dark and "electro-dramatic", moves me back and forth! Get it if you enjoy quality.

There to cds on this album.The first one is Accelorator.
Accelorator is very good like... i like a couple of the songs but this is more of a more techno album. It has more the plan one bass beats. But i love some of the songs. I mean i love all the songs but if you like hardcore tchno.... i would'nt suggest the first disk. But buy it anyway becauser the second disk is fabulous!! Its the papa New Gueni (or how ever you spell) remixes. Hibrid,blue states,simone,mellow and more remix papa new gueni. The second cd in my apinion is better but its always different opinions. you should defenetly put some thought in and buy this album. its great!!!!

I really don't know too much about this group, I just caught a catchy version of Papua New Guinea on the Wipeout Fusion soundtrack about two months ago, and couldn't get it out of my head. Soon after I purchased Deluxe Accelerator and Translations, without knowing too much about the overall sound of the group.

It took a couple listens, but Translations has been in my car CD player or home ever since. The original 12" mix is great, but some of the true translations are just amazing.

If you've ever felt bad cause you've bought an album and play one song to death for months, this is the album for you. You can hear papau new guinea influencing each translation, but the melody and core has been warped far beyond a mere remix. Just buy this album and give it a shot. It's got something for everyone.

My personal favorites right now are "the lovers, the big blue, things change..., and requiem."

    Back in the early 90's, FSOL's stuff wasn't released properly. In fact, Accelerator wasn't even really available in the US until it was rereleased in '97 or so (the version with the movable cover). These songs now all appear as standard on all versions of Accelerator, making this release obsolete. Expander and its remix aren't very distinguishable from each other, and are a nice song, if very typical of the time period. Central Industrial is somewhat generic, and is similarly dated. The Moscow remix is very good though, almost completely different from the original, making it very danceable. If you absolutely need to have the radio edit of Expander, then get this. Otherwise, everything here's on Accelerator.
