More Mondane "Political Preachiness"!.......2006-03-27

I love the idea of Country-Hip Hop but I don't think this band is doing anything musically, conceptually or lyrically innovative to help this new medium take root. The sound is not terrible but it is lacking. It wreaks of pretentious political preaching. Another self absorbed songwriter with a messiah complex disseminating his truth on to the world. Who cares!!! Not me.

Can't Wait for More from Battlestar!.......2000-08-13

Since I got this CD, I have listened to it more times than I can count, and I'm still not sick of it. I think my favorite track is Release, but it's a tough call because each song is remarkable. I like Lauren Hill and think Massive Attack is all right - Battlestar combines the best of both. Leah Beabout's voice and rhymes are cool and smart and sound great with the Wrench's creative beats. I hope the full length CD comes out soon, but in the mean time I'll keep listening to Fast Food Fame without complaint.
