Old School house with a little twist.......2005-07-13

This double mix is of old school house tunes. A few of thew are 15 years old now. So yes, to some this CD may sound cheesey or dated. But if taken for what it is, a collection of house songs flawlesly mixed back in 94, then you may truely enjoy it. It has a different energy than todays house music. And let's face it, Collins and Loria are masters at what they do. If you want house music, then give this a try.

House, not Hip Hop.......2000-04-12

This is definitely not hip hop, but tribal house with lots offunky vocals... too funky and cheesy for my taste.

Dolly Parton & Boy George...I had to hear to believe.......2007-07-10

I've always liked Dolly Parton's music, and when I came across this album with her singing with Boy George & Culture Club-I had to get it. I grew up in the 80's and I'm familiar with many of Culture Club's hits, I really like the beat to the song on this album-Your Kisses are Charity, the duo sounds good together. When I purchased this album from Amazon-it was shown as New, but when I actually received it, it was opened with minor scratches on the disc-considering it was imported and played well, I decided to keep it anyways-I paid $10 for it.

Boy George and Dolly Parton, who'da thunk?.......2001-01-14

It's a shame this song hasn't made it to U.S. radio. Anyone got a radio station that still plays songs because they're good-- not just because the demographic studies say this song sells the most soap?-- Dolly Parton and Boy George both have great voices, and they blend excellently. Forget 80s nostalgia. It's just good. Reggae beat, catchy pop melody, and two great voices. Take a chance on it.

I bought this cd single for culture club. To my surprise it had a track that featured Dolly Parton. The two voices sound as if they have been singing together for years. This song is as hip and contemporary as anything on the radio today. To bad here in the USA, we still see culture club as yesterdays news. I truly recomend a listen to this.

Dolly Parton + Boy George = W O W ! !.......1999-09-27

I didn't buy this cd because I'm a Culture CLub fan nor a Boy George fan, but because I like DOlly Parton. And one of the tracks on this single is "You're Kisses Are Charity--Dolly Mix" featuring none other than living country music legend, Dolly Parton! I know what you're thinking! What an interesting combo!??! Well, it's a combo that surprizingly works! Some hard core country Dolly fans may be disappointed that it doesn't have a "country sound" but it's a more of a pop/carribean sound. It blends beautifully, and Dolly and George's voices bounce from one another complimentarily. There is also a remix of "Do you really want to hurt me?" which isn't too bad, and worth noting. A nice surprize for Dolly & Culture Club fans alike (and those who aren't fans of either). Take note that the "Dolly Mix" is only available on disc 2 of 2.

if you love the 80's like i do, then this is the collection for you. this is the 2nd in a series of at least 10 that i know of so far. some of the songs you may not remember till you get them in the cd player, but every track is worth having. i think my favorite is disc 8, with songs like nellie the elephant and much more. pick this cd up, you can't go wrong
