Should be called "Paltry Snippets"; What a bad disk.......2005-03-14

What a misleading disk. It is not "super hits", but 2-5 minute sections of of these works. Do NOT buy this disk if you love the pieces that are on it. It will only make you wonder "where'd the rest of the cut go?" MAYBE there are 25 minutes of music total on this whole disk, chopped up into soundbytes. Copeland is rolling over in his grave.

THE recording of The Lincoln Portrait........2000-09-18

There is something special about this recording of the Lincoln Portrait. The special ingredient is Henry Fonda's baritone Nebraska accent that sends chills down my spine when I hear his narration, even to this day.

I only recognize a few songs here.......2004-03-30

I always thought the HIOTR collection was flawed by the choice of songs that were a mite TOO obscure. This one has some decent bands represented, but it seems like they chose the wrong song by the artist. Just off the top of my head I'd put "All The Young Heroes" by Gary O, "Secret Information" by Chilliwack, "Last Safe Place On Earth" by Le Roux, "No Turning Back" by the Sherbs, "It's Inevitable" by Charlie or "No Time To Lose" by the Tarney Spencer Group. At least some of these got enough airplay to make you hunt them down until you found them. (...)

EXCELLENT!.......2000-04-09

This CD is another great 80s collection with songs that I've been looking for, for years like "Nobody Said It Was Easy," "I Couldn't Say No" and "My Girl (Gone Gone Gone)." This CD brings back a lot of memories from my teenage years in the early to mid-80s.
