Roland Belmares introduces me to more diva anthems..........2005-04-25

Every time I buy a mix by Belmares, he gives me mostly slammin' diva tracks I've never heard, and would have missed while I was listening to Amber, Deborah Cox, Vernessa Mitchell, etc. The only let down here was that I thought I was going to get this hot tribal cover of "Proud Mary," but the track was basically an instrumental--but it was still a thumpin tune. Check this one out. Each track is a nice full length. Time listing:

New Performer Makes Huge Impression.......2004-04-26

This new release is just what someone needs who loves dance music. It's not so commercial that the songs get played over and over again on television, radio, etc., but it leaves an impression on those who love this music genre. I have never heard any other artist besides Tina Turner sing "Proud Mary" with such soul and feeling. I hope to hear more from this new artist Randy Friess in the future, especially if I can expect true heartfelt lyrics with emotion behind the words. Now, I know that "Proud Mary" wasn't a song that he wrote himself, but I definitely think he felt it in the recording studio. Way to go Harlequin Records, thank you Roland Belmares, and keep it up Randy Friess!
