SInbad should get madd props.Every July was HBO time for The Funk Festival.I Miss it.THe Groups are still as Tight as they were back in the day.Tower Of Power,Gap Band,Con Funk Shun,Lakeside etc.... Alot Of Great Music&most Importantly Feeling.You Just don't feel the Love Anymore in the music.

Looking For Sindbad/Earth Wind Fire Concert on DVD.......2005-11-09

Can anybody help? I video taped off of public tv (during a pledge drive) an early 90's Earth, Wind & Fire concert hosted by Sinbad. Maurice was not there and Phillip led the group. It featured very contempory versions of the classics. In fact I attended the same tour in 1994--awesome!

We thoroughly enjoyed the concerts and would very much like to add them to our collection for future enjoyment. We have the concerts and have viewed them over and over. We want it on DVD. We would like to have DVDs for all of the Sinbad Summer Jams. With all of the "Baby Boomers", this would be a big HIT for any of our video libraries. Please respond and let us know when they become available. We have the system and we need GOOD music. We have looked everywhere and noone seems to know if they are in existence. Please help! Good music is getting harder to find.

Sorry for my first review of this album. I jumped the gun and I'M SORRY! WE ALL MAKE MISTAKES SOMETIMES OK!!! When i originally reviewed this, I was in a state of rage because i thought this was a fruity dance compilation. This assumption, however, was erroneous. (big word). I only listened up to track 7 on both discs & that was all the trite dance stuff I don't like. However, after that stuff, each disc takes a turn towards the light. It's as if starting on track 8 or 9 on each CD the dark clouds of dance music suddenly open up & the light of Trance shine down upon the discs. Yayyy. This is when the cds get enjoyable for me. A few elements of dance stuff remain however. You'll hear what I'm talking about when suddenly, maybe you hear that irritating, disco, "OAhw OAhw" you know what I mean... that noise just doesn't translate well into text but you'll know it when you hear it. I could go deeper into detail but I hear that these reviews have a limit so my final synopsis of this album is this: If each CD started at track 9, they each would be 5 star Trance CDs but since half of each CD is wasted on dance stuff, I had to dock the rating 1 whole star. Get this CD if you like dance music more than Trance, otherwise, you might be as upset as I was when this bad boy arrived at my door.

Upon playing this cd, I thought to myself,"Hmmm... that anoying Sonique song. Maybe it gets better though." Sadly, it does not get much better. This clearly is not the CD for me. I really have gotten sick of hearing trite & horribly repetitive dance music and that is the very backbone of this particular album. This is a MUST NOT BUY if you are just like me and you are sick and tired of dance music. This is just too much for me to handle. However, I have to give this CD a little bit of credit because if you listen to it in the right mood, the happy dance music is not so bad, in moderation of course. Both discs are nonstop dance stuff so I don't think I could listen to them all the way through. I've got nothing against Ministry of Sound nor Judge Jules, actually I think that most of the Jules material I have heard is pretty damn good; it's just that this tired music can really eat away at my patience. Sorry if I have offended anyone in this review and I hope I wasn't too blasphemous in anything I have mentioned. If it makes you die hards feel anybetter, track 6 on the second cd is pretty catchy. =cD

I bought this cause I saw it was from the Ministry of Sound, living over here in the states we DONT get this kind of music. Im glad this is a cd and not a tape cause it would be worn out by now. I love sandstorm, Eternity and FIJI is to die for. I listened to most of it in Ireland and LOVED the scene!!

Good but Not Great.......2000-12-04

I have to say I was just a little dissapointed. Of course the Judge has really yet to put out a bad CD, this one just wasn't one of my favorites. Having over 30 Ministry Of Sound CDs, I have heard now the greatest and the best. Not at the Top but it does have some good tunes.

I could not be more serious when I tell you this is a MUST BUY for everyone who enjoys dance music. This album is jam packed with the best dance in the world.....period. The Ibizan beats that flow from this album will take you over, from bodymoving funk to chillout grooves it will get you up and keep you there. Sun down to sun up these irresistable tunes will transport you back to the Med. This double disc mix is, in true Ibiza style, the party album of all party albums.

I bought this album on a whim and I am glad I did. The first cd is a unique mix of vocal house that makes you want to sing along. I usually skip straight to track 6 or 7 on the second disk. I personaly like that up beat West Hollywood type of sound and hey, this does it for me.

A Waste.......2000-05-12

Track selection is terrible. None of the tracks were mixed in properly. CD 1: Probably the worst I've heard in awhile. Too cheesy. CD 2: Sean Quinn used a lot of old tracks, which I didn't expect from title: Summer Annual 2000. The tracks were okay towards the end, but the mixes were off beat and not hype at all. Overall my suggestion for all house and trance listeners..........wait for Gatecrasher's next set. It's always a safe bet.
