Tank, on Sex, Love & Pain, is like Luther Vandross only slightly lewder: He'll be the first to admit, as he does on the three-part opening track "Coldest," that he's "somewhat of a hustler out here on the street... occasional strip clubs and shots of Hennessy." That doesn't stop him from laying his heart on the line, though. Repeatedly. Midtempo grooves like "I'm Coming Home," a hopeful reunion song, and "Heartbreaker," a limber-voiced lament that outlines a crumbled relationship, show Tank's tender side and take the romantically inclined places more real-seeming than Luther's songs. Throughout the long lineup of love-gone-wrong tracks, the brawny guy with the tattooed back doesn't forget his playful side, either. Before Timbaland sidles up and gets closing track "I Love Them Girls" all trademark-sizzly, Tank does some titillating of his own via the sexed-up steamer "My Body." --Tammy La Gorce

4 out of 5 stars R & B is back.......2007-07-19

Wonderful cd. Listened to it 3 times in a row. Im glad he's back. Songs are very well written, kind of reminds me of Jaheim "Ghetto Love" CD.

5 out of 5 stars Lovin This CD.......2007-07-13

This cd stays in constant rotation in my player at work and home. I love the whole cd, especially "My Body" and "Who Dat". Tank out did himself on this one.

3 out of 5 stars Left alot to be desired.......2007-07-04

Anticipated this album so much, but it turned out to be a let down. Most of the songs sounded the same, you would think he would write himself a lot of #1 hits as he has done for others but it just wasn't the case here. I really gave it a 3 because I still think he is so sexy.

5 out of 5 stars BANGING.......2007-07-03

THIS IS ONE OF THE BEST AND BANGING CD I HAVE PURCHASED. I AM LOOKING FOR TO THE NEW CD FROM TANK, TYRESE AND GUIWINE. SORRY IF I SPELLED SOMETHING WRONG. I LISTEN TO THIS EACH AND EVERYDAY. GOOD JOB TANK

2 out of 5 stars Hmm, not much here.......2007-06-30

I'm so sorry but this album did nothing for me. I keep buying his albums and he keeps having like a good 3 songs on each album that I totally love. I dubbed a copy and sold the orginal.
There may be someone out there that likes this album but it just wasn't working for me.
Sorry.

5 out of 5 stars two parts Hennessy to one part Lovage.......2007-07-03

Great album, another offering to my iPod from the generous library of Principal Dondelinger. It's at least half tongue-in-cheek but it's all great. I agree with other reviewers who have described the parody as more homage than mockery. The tracks vary but there is a nice consistent feel throughout, so it really flows as an album. The title suggests one way to utilize this music, but I've found this music to have potential even beyond being the soundtrack to the connubial shake-n'-fake. For example, my iPod likes to throw on "Pit Stop" and "Lies and Alibis" when I am walking alone at dusk, rundown by the day and the humidity.

Just listen to it. It's pretty unique. And I love the picture on the cover; I think it might be one of my Dad's nameless cousins from the seventies.

1 out of 5 stars STOLEN MATERIAL.......2007-06-02

"Tea Time With Maseo" in this album contains recordings and words stolen from Alan Lorber's 1969 Groupies album.

5 out of 5 stars Amazing..........2007-03-12

The production of this album is truly amazing. While there's definitely a parody element, the music is still banging. Sexy, fun, and cool. Perfect "music to make love to your old lady by"

5 out of 5 stars weird but great.......2007-02-18

If you think that Deltron 3030 is the best hip-hop album of all time(like me) then you should definetly buy Lovage. Dan The Automator's(Nathaniel Merriweather) production is at its best, and combined with the DJ talents of Kid Koala(Deltron 3030), this album can't be beat. Also the strange combination of vocalists Mike Patton(Faith No More) and Jennifer Charles works perfectly. I totally slept on this album until recently, but this one is almost as perfect as Deltron.

5 out of 5 stars Great Songs, Great Style.......2007-01-27

I've always been a Patton's fan, and this is one of the finest works I've ever heard about him, it's a soft-progressive-rock ballad with a little touch of irony, it's a very nice piece of art, a masterpiece, indeed.

Tribe's last album--they announced their breakup just prior to its release--has all of the problems of Midnight Marauders and Beats, Rhymes, and Life: they're just not People's Instinctive Travels and the Paths of Rhythm or The Low End Theory, Tribe's first two releases. That said, so what? Late-era Tribe is still a force to be reckoned with, even if it's not as much fun or doesn't have all the possibilities of Phife Dog, Q-Tip, and Ali Shaheed Muhammad's early work. The Love Movement's backing tracks recall previous releases but tend to be subtler--and therefore less than memorable--and a few of the tracks here are almost indistinguishable from one another. Q-Tip and Phife Dog bust out with few catch phrases (the exception is "Give Me," on which they rhyme "Boyz II Men, ABC, BBD--naw, we ain't none of them"); overall, they sound more mature than ever before. Are they really? At times, yes, and it seems that maturity is one of hip-hop's few unforgivable sins. --Randy Silver

4 out of 5 stars A Tribe Called Quest - Old-School Even In 1998!.......2007-03-16

Wow! I just sampled their albums, and they just can't let go of that old-school swing, even when most other rappers were going new-school! Impressive! I think the other rappers should learn from A Tribe Called Quest!

4 out of 5 stars Not Tribe's best, but worth a listen........2006-07-17

There is no doubt that this is not Tribe's best album. You have to listen to this album quite a few times through in order to like it. After extensive listening, quite a few tracks caught my ear, although there are others that I am indifferent to. "Like It Like That", "Give Me", "Pad & Pen", and "The Love" are the catchiest tracks, and incoincidentally they are also the most melodic. The Love Movement goes wrong in having Busta Rhymes guest on this album, it just does not match their style. Tracks that feature Q-Tip exclusively are the best and give the album the proper environment that they should have been aiming for.

3 out of 5 stars Sad ending to a great career................2006-06-25

Back in "98", I was skeptical of how ATCQ would stack up next to Hard Knock Life, Aquemini, Miseducation of L. Hill. I ended up being disappointed because my favorite rap group sounded dated and misplaced. Their are only 2 or 3 songs on here that sounds like the ATCQ that everybody loved. I wish they could have stopped recording after Midnight Marauders, then they would have gone out like Jordan.

3 out of 5 stars A Tribe Called Quest - The Love Movement.......2006-04-04

A Tribe Called Quests (Q-Tip, Phife, Ali Shaheed Muhammad) fifth and final album was "The Love Movement" (1998). The albums first standout cut for me is "Find A Way", the Tribe rhyme well over some nice production. The Tribe bring Busta Rhymes and Redman in for "Stepping It Up" a cut that ends up being lackluster. Feeling the production on the laidback "4 Moms". Not feeling next two tracks, then Q-Tip and D-Life collab for the solid "Pad & Pen", which is followed up by the decent "Busta's Lament". My favourite track on this one is "The Love", ATCQ break down what they love on an outstanding track; the lyrics and production on this make this one a head nodder. "Money Maker" is another stellar cut, and the Remixes to classic cuts like "Scenario", "Oh My God", Jazz (We've Got) are all good. Tribe is not at their best on a lot of this album, which is at times monotonous. They do have their moments on cuts like "Find A Way", "Pad & Pen" and "The Love". 3.5. A Tribe Called Quest 1988-1998.

4 out of 5 stars Tribe Called Best.......2006-03-26

This is a gorgeous album. Not because it features some nice guest spots, and not because it has some sweet BoomClack beats, and not because the Rhodes piano and rimshots rock the house, and not because Q-Tip's voice is so simply wonderful, and not because Phife steps with precision, and not because it was the Tribe's last album, and not because the tracks have such a strong groove to them.

No. This CD is wonderful for one thing:

"What is it that everybody has
And some pirates and theives try to take?
The Booty
if you is a crook you be takin' it."

You just don't find wordplay like that very often.

Unfortunately, the sense of wonderful *FUN* that the Tribe is known for and that pervades that track is often lacking on this disk, so I can understand why people say it doesn't rank up with the top Tribe disks. But, hey... it's still a Tribe disk, making it better than a lot of stuff that's out there.

5 out of 5 stars Hailey Brothers Debut Shines.......2006-08-11

Upon the break up of the group Jodeci, members and brothers K-Ci and JoJo Hailey released their debut album Love Always together. The album sold millions, in large part due to the smash hit single "All My Life." Was this success justified? How does the album stand as a whole?

The album begins with the, for all intents and purposes, title track. While the title isn't in the song name, "Last Night's Letter" gets things off on the right foot with smooth vocals, and reinforces the implications of the albums title as being a love letter. The track introduces you to the two vocalists, highlighting K-Ci's rougher sound to JoJo's silky smooth.

The next two tracks carry the same message but in a very different manner. "Baby Come Back" is a fierce uptempo track with strong vocals. The singers are wishing their lover would come back to them after they chased her away. Unfortunately, the song is a bit longwinded, playing the chorus over and over in the end. "Just For Your Love" has a similar message of wishing for a lover back but in a much different fashion. The song is slowed down and is incredibly sweet.

"Now and Forever" keeps up the silky smooth feeling with a nice loving message. The singers explain that they won't listen to other people's ill feelings about their lover as they know she's wonderful. The song is an incredible love song and has some great lines. One such piece was when JoJo sings "You see you can tell a tree of love/ By the fruit that it bears/ And from where I'm standing/ You see my field is yielding."

The album returns to high tempo with two decent tracks. It's clear the group is better at the ballads but nevertheless, they manage okay with the uptempo songs. "Don't Rush" is an interesting role reverser as the guys complain about a female friend who badgers them for sex. It paints a neat story and is catchy but just doesn't compare with the slower songs. "Bring Me Up" falls in a similar boat as the guys complain about a lover who used and abused their love. It's catchy and a pleasant listen but just seems to be missing something the slower songs have.

The next song "Still Waiting" is a throwback to Jodeci days, as the song opens with DeVante and is produced by him. The song has a GREAT beginning with K-Ci and JoJo alternating couplets. However, about two minutes in, the track falls from its position as one of the best on the album by repeating the chorus 6 times in a row. It would have been nice to just make the track short than to drag it out.

After the back and forth style of "Still Waiting," the next three tracks on the album are solo pieces. "Love Ballad" is K-Ci's offering and frankly, it's disappointing. Don't get me wrong, the lyrics are great. However, the song is a cover track and it is clear. K-Ci seems to lack all feeling as he just reads the lyrics from the sheet.

JoJo's solo offerings start on a disappointing note as well. "How Many Times," like K-Ci's piece, is a beautiful track with some great lyrics. However, it sounds uninspiring. Without K-Ci's enthusiasm, the track is lifeless. This seems to be recognized as about halfway through, K-Ci appears just to shout and emphasize lines.

It's JoJo's second solo, that stands out as an incredible track and is what most people recognize the album for. "All My Life" is executed perfectly in every manner. The song opens with a beautiful violin piece and then a simple, yet similarly moving piano piece. When the lyrics start, they are on point and rich in emotion. The song works wonders and conveys the feelings of love.

After such a strong piece, the group fortunately, continues with another solid song and ends the album on a high (albeit sad) note. "How Could You" is just as powerful as "All My Life" only evoking tears instead of smiles. The track is about losing a lover and sitting alone waiting for the day they might come back. The track is well done and the lyrics are strong. A great way to end a solid album.

4 out of 5 stars Signed.......2005-11-06

After what was supposed to be a short break after departing from Jodeci, lead vocalists K-Ci & JoJo step out on their own with Love Always. They cleaned their image, their style and music for a more mainstream appeal and succeeded. Deciding on writing a letter expressing feelings, "Last Night's Letter" in short it stated "...dear baby I love you just thinkin' of you, love always..." They go to the love songs with "Just For Your Love" that displays the more raspy style of K-Ci. They plead to taking ones time in a relationship and also there is a time to love and a time to play on "Don't Rush (Take Love Slowly)". K-Ci has a solo remake of Mtume's "Love Ballad" that sounds just as good as the original. You can finally hear range of these brothers on the Babyface and Emanuel Officer written "How Many Times (Will You Let Him Break Your Heart)". The highlight and JoJo solo "All My Life" shows the new direction simply with a more mature mainstream feel to widen their audience. There are some surprises on this LP, but nothing like a Jodeci album. The Hailey brothers stepped out on this release and stood stronger than most would have expected. Love always.

5 out of 5 stars all my life.......2005-08-22

All My Life is a classic r&b masterpiece of the 1990's. The melody and piano hook is out of this world and I love singing and playing it on the piano myself

5 out of 5 stars Unbelievable.......2004-01-25

This ALBUM IS A CLASSIC. I would recommend this CD to anyone. True R&B and it is very very emotional and gets to your heart easily. These two guys (K-Ci & JoJo) are amazing. Have amazing voices and are just very talented. The beats are great in this album. The rhythm and flow iz just phenominal. "All My Life" of course is the top single in this album. But others like "Still Waiting"(great great song), and "Last Night's Letter", "How Could You", "Now and Forever", and "Just For Your Love" are just awesome. Those of course are my favorites. There are some upbeat songs like "Baby Come Back" and "You Bring Me Up" "How Many Times" and "Love Ballad" are also very worthy to listen to. This CD is a classic and K-Ci & JoJo's best. I'd buy this baby If I was U.

2 out of 5 stars No More Garbage.......2007-05-20

Totally agree. This CD was g-a-r-b-a-g-e. I think Mary was trying to mend fences with Puffy. A testament that she is not the out of control diva people have always tried to claim. However, after this she'll probably be a bit more business savvy. Giving Puffy the reigns was a major mistake.

Don't get me wrong. Puffy's strong suit is remixes. Should Mary ever decide to do a remix anthology of all her solo joints and featured appearances over the past 15 years - CALL DIDDY GIRL! He'll give those tracks the hookups they need. Otherwise, he should never be allowed in any studio during the creative process with real musicians. He's best adding a dash of flavor afterwards; usually biting a slamming 80's sample.

Anyways all the great singers - except Chaka Khan - have had a few bad albums that were commercial failures and/or lacked any serious material worthy of radio airplay.

Love and life. Live and learn.

4 out of 5 stars A Failed Attempt of My Life Part II.......2007-03-27

This was a decent album but in no way could there ever be another My Life let alone Puffy is wack nowadays. This was a good album standout tracks "Love @First Sight", "Willing &Waiting", "It's a Wrap",and "Feel Like Making Love". It didn't sell as good as some of her previous works but the Mary fans shouldn't be disappointed, but "The Breakthrough" is another classic under Mary's belt.

4 out of 5 stars Mary and Diddy revisit the Whats the 411 and My Life days.........................2007-02-13

4 out of 5 stars ..........2006-12-21

When I first heard the news that Puff and Mary were getting back together, I was ready for a terrible album. Yes, they did produce magic together back in the days, but that was then, this is now. And right now, anything P. Diddy touches is terrible.

I was assuaged once I gave it a listen. It is definitely not Mary's best, but it is still a solid release. The last two or three tracks (and the terrible one with 50 Cent) could've just been left off, the interludes should have been turned into full songs and the production is not particularly breath taking. Another complaint is that Mary's vocals are really not her best and she sometimes sounds uninterested. (After watching the DVD that came with earlier editions, it's not hard to understand why. Diddy, a royal pain in the butt/self-proclaimed "perfectionist" disagreed with Mary on almost everything. Their personalities are like oil and water. I can understand that Mary was under a lot of stress and just wanted to get outta that studio!)

Highlight tracks include: "When We," "Don't Go," "Finally Made It (Interlude)," "Love @ 1st Sight," "Friends" & "Press On."

Anyways... I would definitely recommend this. It, of course, isn't Mary's best work, but it is far from bad and even average. For any other artist, this would've been better. Just don't let this be your firt Mary J. album. Buy all of the others first.

5 out of 5 stars Underrated Cd!.......2006-08-07

I don't know why this cd is the one of Mary J's that just seems to get ignored? I just bought it recently and I have to say it is very good. I was at a MJB concert recently and hardly any of the fans siting near me had even heard or bought this cd. Which surprised me as it went to #1! Its got dance songs, ballads, passionate songs a little bit of it all and I reccommend it to anyone who likes Mary but dont own it. Mostly everyone likes Whats THe 411 and I agree its a great cd but this cd is just about as good... of course my favorite is her new cd The Breakthrough...but this cd is very close to the same type sound....give it a shot!

5 out of 5 stars A Timeless Classic.......2007-06-26

This is the first PM Dawn album I ever purchased. I played it one time and I was hooked on their music forever! It is very rare that you enjoy every song on an album, but that is just the case with this one. Even though the tempo changes from song to song, this album plays very fast. There are three cuts on here I have to turn up when I play them: "When Midnight Sighs", "Ways of the Wind", and of course the legendary "Die Without You". Like the group that created it, a great CD, you'll be happy you purchased it.

5 out of 5 stars 13 Years Later and It's still amazing.......2006-08-23

I first purchased this album back in my sophomore year in high school and unforunately lost it in 1999 (left it in my dorm room at college) and Now I have finally bought my replacement copy. Aw the memories this cd brings back. Like another reviewer said, this is a great album to lift your spirits. It just puts you in such a mellow, positive mood, it's great. my only problem, is that the newer release of this cd - cds that were printed in 1997, leaves a song out. So on and so on, which is supposed to be track 3 (This CD was originally a 15 track disc, now for some reason it's only 14). Even though it wasn't one of PM Dawn's strongest songs, i miss it being on the album. But if anyone appreciates this little group, then you HAVE to purchase this cd.

5 out of 5 stars almost perfect.......2006-04-15

This cd and the first one belong in the top 5 cd's I have ever heard along with Bebel Gilberto-Tanto Tempo, Our Lady Peace-Spiritual Machines, DJ Cam-Mad Blunted Jazz, and B-52's-Cosmic Thing. The chilled out vibe and trippy melodies are awesome.

5 out of 5 stars 12 Years & It's Still Fantastic.......2006-03-02

I was ripping old CDs today and popped this in. I love this album. It's so rich, emotional, and inventive that it's the affectionate thorn in my side everytime I say, "I hate all rap music!" This is just a totally wonderful experience. I've listened to it over and over and over and over and it stirs my senses everytime. Buy it! But if you're looking for your generic hardcore, mean-spirited, hip-hop/rap crap ... you'll be sorely disappointed by the wonders recorded by these fellas back when music could still be fun, fresh and touching in its expressivness.

5 out of 5 stars Don't be fooled, this is REAL HIP HOP.......2005-08-20

This was the 3rd P.M. Dawn album I purchased. I was expecting it just being mainly all singing, as Jesus Wept was. I am glad to say I was wrong. It actually is the album that probably has the MOST rapping on it. Maybe even more than the debut.

The album starts with, "When Mightnight Sighs". The first time I listened to this song I was in the car and I found myself singing along by the time the chorus came around.

The second song "So on & so on" was basically an all singing song, but I really enjoyed this one, because the vocals were delivered very quickly.

Next comes Plastic. This is straight up hip hop. Prince Be comes with the power of Chuck D ready to tell people how he feels about the negative attention the hip hop community has given them. (that's how I saw it)

The production/music on Ways of the Wind is very beautiful. Crazy ass bassline too. I must say the production/music on this album is on point. It's close, if not as good as the first album.

Next comes, "To Love Me More". I am not a a big fan of the slow singing songs, but when they are put around a bunch of upbeat songs with rapping, it has a good balance and you appreciate them a lot more. I think this song is fun and keeps things versitile.

One of my favorites "About Nothing for the Love of Destiny". This song is great. The music is top notch and the chorus is simply amazing. The sarcasm (i hope) in the chorus is great. "I like the way you change your looks, I like the way you change your style..I like the way you talk about nothing". I LOVE the little synth SOLO. I LOVE IT!! haha.

The cover of the Beatles "Norwegian Wood" was actually pulled off reallly well. The drums are straight up boom bap. Not a big fan of covers unless they cross music boundries, and this one definately does.

"Beyond Infinite Affections" is straight up hip hop once again. I don't know how P.M. Dawn could get any backlash from the hip hop community when they make songs like this. It's better than the majority of hip hop.

"Looking through Patient Eyes" sounds like Set Adrift Part 2. heh. Nice mellow song.

"Filthy Rich, I don't wanna be". I love the lyrics in the verses, not a big fan of the chorus though.

"More than Likely" is my least favorite song on the album. It's a duet with some guy and it really sounds like he needs to CLEAR his throat. It sounds very mucas filled, at one point you can hear it try to clear itself. Eek.

"The Nocturnal is in the house". Another banging hip hop track. nuff said. Coming battle style, whatever happened to that??

"When it's Raining Cats and Dogs" not a big fan of this one.

"I'd Die Without You". I used to hate this song when I was little when it used to come on the radio. I was still in elementry school at the time. I hated all the R & B songs cuz I had to sit through them to get to some hip hop songs, and this was one of them. I had no clue it was P.M. Dawn until I bought this album. I guess I like it now proably cuz I recognize it. heh.

All in all, it's nearly as good as the first album. I still like the first a smidget better, but not by much. This album KILLS 99 percent of all albums out there.

Monie outshined Latifah on Ladies First, so there were high expectations for Monie's debut. Then she dropped "Down 2 Earth" which was totally left field except for the classic single "Monie in the Middle" and my personal favorite "It's a Shame" featuring the classic Spinners sample.

4 out of 5 stars Very smooth and jazzy and with a dash of hip hop thrown in.......2007-05-23

Wow,I slept on this CD for almost 3 years. I originally bought it and only listened to Hot2Nite. It was my favorite song when it first came out. That was enough to get me to buy the whole CD.

Anyways some years later, I am driving down to NC and pull the CD out from the side storage. The interludes were bad but a majority of the album is a banger.

You heard a little bit of BBD and Ralph and Johnny did their damn thing. I think one of the joints features Ralph, Ricky, and Johnny sharing lead vocals. Won't no grand standing with the vocals. E'erbody accepts their vocal ability for what it is.

Come Home With Me is in my Top 10 of favorite love songs. This is probably the best R&B product Bad Boy ever released but didn't know how to market.

BTW...Bobby wasn't missed.

If you don't have a favorite NE member, definitely get this for your collection. Very smooth and jazzy and with a dash of hip hop thrown in.

2 out of 5 stars I will always be a NE fan.......2007-04-24

I have to admit that I was very disappointed with this CD but I still bought it because I am a big NE fan. I think P. Diddy- Puffy- whatever- really got this one wrong. You can tell that there was no money or real promotion/publicity put into this project.

Johnny Gill was pretty much missing on the entire cd. I don't know why P Diddy would think that his sound would not reach a younger audience. I think everyone realizes talent. Anyway NE has a true fan following and the producers they use should remember that when they introduce any new music.

1 out of 5 stars Horrific.......2007-02-06

I can't believe I'm about to type this about my beloved New Edition -- This album is horrific. I tried to pawn it off on a friend and it ended up back in my collection without a word. You know its bad when you don't even hear this played on Boston radio.

I'd like to formally blame Sean Combs for this garbage. Instead of working with N.E.'s talent and fan base, Combs decided that he wanted to try and pass these guys off as 112 -- nope, nada. New Edition is too good for this and this album upsets me to no end.

When word came out that Combs signed them on to Bad Boy Records I had a moment of silence -- that was the worst thing they could've done. Honestly, I wish they could've signed a deal with J Records -- Clive Davis has a golden touch with long standing groups/singers -- see Santana! This album seems as though it was thrown together without much of a second thought.

I also heard an interview in which Johnny Gill said that Combs didn't want him to sing much on the album b/c he sounded too old -- he is trying to reach out to the younger set. Hi, the mid-20s to late 30s crowd grew up with these guys and have stuck with them for years. This is a classic example of courting the younger listeners not realizing that the established young adults that have always loved NE are the ones that will be there two/three years after the fact.

My advice -- get the New Edition "Hits" album and have a tour down memory lane. Don't upset your self, and your stomach, with this hot mess.

3 out of 5 stars No love given for One Love.......2006-01-10

This album was okay, the best song being "Come Home With Me". But if you saw their "Behind the Music", you know that even they didn't like this album much. Diddy had them singing all of these "younger generation" songs when they were grown men. And this album wasn't promoted enough; looks like Diddy was saving all of his muscle for pushing that new Biggie album.

As far as I am concerned, "Your Love" is the first song that got me hooked on the group. Their sound is exceptionally easy to listen to.

5 out of 5 stars Almost brings tears to my eyes.......2005-07-22

To many around the world, Lime is probably the best Hi-NRG group that ever existed. Original from Canada, they capitalized on the early Euro-Disco genre with hits like "your love" and "babe we're gonna love tonight". Although underground here in the States, Lime was played in every place around the world, from radio stations to clubs, with hit after hit from every album they put out. Really one of the first groups to cater to Dj's with multiple versions on every album of their hit songs. It almost brings tears to my eyes when I hear songs like "you're my magician", reminiscing of those beautiful times in the big 80's, a decade like no other.

5 out of 5 stars 5 STARS AIN'T ENOUGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.......2005-06-04

Back in 1981, when djs played "Your Love", It would be impossible to find a space on the dance floor. The album was played every night time & time again for over a year if my memory hasn't fail me. Lime's debut is a classic example of Canadian disco at it's very best. All tracks on this album stands the test of time. They still sound great after almost a quarter of a century. I am listerning to it as I worte this. To me, "Your Love" is and always will be my #1 Disco Hit of all time.

5 out of 5 stars the beginning of 80's greatness...........2005-04-08

i actually found an original vinyl copy of 'your love' last week and quickly scooped it up for about 5 bucks at reckless records in chicago. after sliding the album down on the turntable and hearing the first track, "you're my magician", my jaws immediately dropped from hearing these exact sounds that i'd heard back in 1981-1982! damn, what genuis seems to come out of the creations of canadian masterminds denis and denyse lepage? i guess i'll never know, but with songs like "your love", "agent 409", and "with you", i'll be jammin' all night long with these early 80's classics!

5 out of 5 stars Groovin' To Candian Disco.......2003-02-17

I really can't say it better then the review below this one. Lime combined a high energy disco sound, with unique vocals to create some of the best disco to boogie down to on the dance floor. This album is definitely a gem, that is worth purchasing. 'Your Love' features four different cuts of 'Your Love,' including: the remix (7:01), the original (7:17), the instrumental (7:00), and the radio edit (4:02). Lime's other big hit of the album, 'You're My Magician' includes three cuts: the original (7:38), the instrumental (7:46), and the radio edit (4:05). The remaining three great songs include, 'It's You' (7:19), 'I'll Be Yours' (7:10), and last, a favorite of mine, the instrumental 'Agent 406.' A CD worth the purchase for any disco fans or dance floor fanatics.
