Customer Reviews:

5 out of 5 stars Ambient, funky, ELECTRIC!!.......2004-07-15

I'm very impressed!! I had no idea what to expect when I put the CD in my player and hit play. All of I sudden I'm standing there looking at the tracks on the back of the CD case lost in the sound!

Sean has managed to mix a whole variety of amazing sounds to create an ambient, yet very funky mix. I totally wasn't expecting to hear what I did, but I like it, a lot!

This sound is new, I dont have another CD in my collection like it (and I have a LOT of CD's!) and its fresh, pleasing to the ears.

I thoroughly recommend and only ask one last thing: Whats next Sean?

4 out of 5 stars Very Promising.......2004-05-28

Sean sent me his CD along with one I had ordered from him off of Amazon and it shows a lot of potential. I was very surprised when I heard it. Nice ambient, grooving sounds. Look forward to his next release.

5 out of 5 stars Electronic Funk.......2004-04-19

I will only listen to music if i can groove to it or if it makes me feel a certain way. Sean Fry makes me groove and feel good. This combination is rare. This is because funk makes one groove, but does not set one's soul free. IDM (Intellegent Dance Music) usually has the capacity to stretch the boundaries of thought and drastically altar a state of mind, but doesnt give you that kick ass head-bobbing sensation. Further, most IDM sounds the same.
Fry is doing something that not only hasnt been done before, but something that a lot of people can't comprehend. Electronic Funk is going to be the next genra that will be showing up on chalk boards of record companies across the nation.
Kudos to the people that embrace this album for you are the leaders of a new wave.

5 out of 5 stars A Cosmic Celebration.......2004-04-18

Sean Fry creates music that is fitting our time. Not so much New Age music for people who dare to think different, as Neural Age music for neural beings. An image: Fry's funk soma extends its minimal axons toward the East and winds up as rhythm section for an unsuspecting Lunar Festival somewhere in Thailand. Break out the harps and don't stop dancing!

'For The Good Of All Concerned' is a celebratory journey whose uninitiated traveler is the bold music itself. Minimal 'Manawa' sets the tone for the excursion: driving, uplifting and bearing spritual gifts along the way. 'Kala' firmly establishes the festive mood with similar instrumentation, gettin' all comfy - comfy for the funky expositions of 'Prana' and especially 'Ike'. The tracks enjoy themselves on the continent before getting totally sick from 'Poison Sushi', where the rhythm wouldn't know where it was if it weren't in Japan.

The procession continues solemnly and in its own mathematical clarity as 'Illuminati Theorem'; the West is reaching out its dentrites to carry the traveller back home. 'Mana' spews some truly ass-kicking funk across the Central Asian former Soviet republics before the rest of the world gets there. 'Huna' treks through mountainous terrain, smoking out Osama for good (of all concerned) with Fry's determined unrelenting drive. 'Vector' is anything but, leisurely making its way along the Mediterranean, admiring the ancient ruins and stuff. The journey ends when the traveller becomes the destination in 'Ibiza'; party a little more. Ride'm cowboy!

Sean Fry's music is going places - we're not going anywhere until we face the sound.
