the CD has alot of the greatest hits from him, including a song that my girlfriend was looking for that was only included on this CD. anyone woh likes Stevie will be pleased with this purchase.

Stevie B's Greatest Hits - Take Two.......2005-05-23

I was a little surprised to see a second volume of "greatest hits" released for Stevie B. After all, between "The Best of Stevie B" and "Greatest Hits Volume 1", much of Stevie's best older and newer material had been cataloged.

Alas, if you read the blurb in this volume, fans demanded more and the record company, seeing dollar signs in their eyes, complied with the fans wishes. :D

As a whole, this compliation is ok. My favorites are "Funky Melody", "Come With Me", "Girl I Love You", "I'm Not Crazy", "If You Still Love Me", and "Since You've Been Gone Away".

The rest of the older songs are decent but didn't capture my attention. The three song remixes (Dream of You, Because I Love You, and Love Me For Life) were also not my favorites either.

The "People's Megamix" track was decent if unspectacular compliation of Stevie's best songs.

However, for fans of Stevie's music, this collection may contain some songs that weren't present in the other collections. While this album didn't contain a ton of stuff I loved, it was still good enough for 4 stars.

Freestyle Heaven.......2004-12-14

I was very excited to see this release after buying volume1 which had some incredible mixes of Stevie's best songs although I thought there were a few missing - After listening to this comp I found that all the tracks I was missing were here. A very nice companion piece to Volume 1. If you love freestyle, it doesn't get any better than this!!

Another let down series that gives us only radio edits!!!.......2006-03-04

there are SO many freestyle collections that have a GREAT selection of the hottest songs and aritsts of the era...but almost all seem to forget that these were CLUB HITS, and that having the EXTENDED versions was crucial. I'm so glad to find some rareties on here, but most tracks run less than 5 minutes. The only exceptions are "Clave Rocks" and "My Heart Gets All the Breaks" , both of which run (5:15). Also, "My Heart's Divided" by Shannon is not the original version, but an edit of the 12" mix, running about 27 seconds shorter.

For the casual fan this is great, for hardcore dance collectors, it's disappointing.

If collecting all ten volumes of the excellent "Freestyle's Greatest Beats" is cost-prohibitive, then this is a terrific alternative. Paired with the first volume of this series, this CD contains many of the best artists of the genre. It contains definitive classics from Company B, Shannon, Corina, Cover Girls and Nu Shooz, as well as rarer (but still slammin') jams from Joey Kid, Brenda K. Starr, Nayobe, Fascination and Monet. Get both CDs and you've definitely got freestyle's best. For an added bonus, check out the "Best of Freestyle" CD for additional classics. These 3 CDs are a worthy alternative for fans of freestyle.
