4 out of 5 stars Good Mix.......2001-07-08

Ez in the mix again here. The tracklisting is definitely a bit different to the recent influx of "now that's what I call the best of Aiya Napa Speed Garage" albums which all seem to contain the same 30 tracks. This album is also different to the other EZ album Pure Garage, containing a much wider variety of tunes, mixing the 4tothefloor and the 2step. Many of the tracks on this album do not appear on any of the others available at present, current anthems such as the club storming "basslick" and DnD's "Diamond Rings". The selection of 4tothefloor is much wider than most albums out at the moment with classics like Dawn Tallman's "New York City Girl" and The Jam Experience "Feel My Love". The CD also contains THREE Todd Edward tunes, including Miracles and Todd's collaboration with Tuff Jam "Share Your Love". Tunes produced by EZ also feature quite heavily with 3 EZ produced tracks plus intros number 5 and number 9. My favourite of EZ's Self produced tunes is "just Want" which definitely has Todd Edward's influences. The mixing on this CD is much more crisp than his "Pure Garage" Album. I've listened all the way trough and couldn't really fault any of his mixes. My one complaint would by the use of that bloody effects chamber, why oh why does he persevere with this unnecessary device I do not know, especially as he has not seemed to have mastered it's use, however he doesn't use it THAT much and it certainly doesn't ruin the CD. Overall, this is definitely something different and will appeal to all the Original Garage lovers and introduce the bandwagon jumpers into some more diverse aspects of the Garage scene.
