Music was great but came to me damaged from Amazon.......2007-05-29

The actual CD is great, some of the best from ATB i've ever heard, a little poppy but still good...I was dissapointed with how it arrived from Amazon though. The CD wont even work in one of my CD players, had to upload it to my computer and make new ones for it to work, but now there's a break in between the tracks so so much for hearing a good mix...anyway take your chances, maybe I just got the one damaged one....

Together with Armin's State of Trance 2006 and Thrillseekers' Nightmusic, it's the most perfect trance collection of the last 5 years.

Absolutely the best mix of 2006. Both discs, this is what trance mixes should sound like. No filler tracks at all, just perfectly selected.

A Mish Mash of bland mixes!!!.......2007-05-07

Definately not even close the In the Mix 2 in terms of memorable tracks or good mixing. The album simply lacks life and goes weaker and weaker from CD 1 to CD 2. Not a single track stands out making this album good for nothing other than background music when nothing else is at hand. A real disappointment.

One of the best mixes ive ever heard.......2007-04-22

This double CD set is worth its price in gold as far as im concerned. I bought this mix, due in part, to the reviews ive seen here on amazon. Right off the top of my head I cant think of any "fillers" in this one. Yeah, some tracks are better then others, but even the "so so" tracks are above average. The tracks that really stand out to me at the moment are "Servant of Justice" "Summer Rain" "Neno Itome" and "Vital Spark" I also find it quite refreshing to be able to catch reviews of this kind of musical genre from other fellow fans. I know some of the reviewers here spend big bucks on these kinds of releases. Unfortunately, I dont make a ton of doe, so I cant afford the luxery of being able to casually buy every new House/Trance/Jungle release that hits the market. This is why I come to sites like amazon. To see what other fans of these genres have to say. That with the addition of track samples help me make my purchasing decisions in the end. Thanks everybody!

What An Amazing High!!! ;o Emotionally Generated Mix..........2006-11-09

Like all the others that posted their reviews, I've been listening to Trance for quite some time. I bought this CD at a time when I almost gave up on this kind of music. Why give up on Trance? Well, personally, there are few Mixes out there that can hold the attention of the average listener. Its a fact that many people automatically label Trance as monotonous and boring. However, this Mix by ATB is quite the opposite. This Euphoric, Emotionally Generated Mix brings life to Trance. I'm pleased to have found this Mix.

Final thoughts: I'm perplexed why anybody would rate this CD two stars. "No Silence", also by ATB, cannot be compared to this CD since that album is almost completely different but still an ATB signature creation. No Silence contains more vocal trance, and when compared to a Mix there is a big difference. Rating this CD, "DJ in the Mix", so poorly is an injustice to ATB and his productions. He happens to be #8 on the DJ List; One of the world's top 10 DJs! I voice this opinion because I happen to own both of these CDs ( No Silence / Dj in the Mix ). Although each create a different feeling with a different style, they are both awesome and from the same source - ATB. Andre Tenneberger has skill; Haters,.. Just give it up for ATB!

Outstanding.......2006-08-14

ATB has been ranked as one of the worlds top 10 D.J's and after listening to this cd it becomes apperant why. the songs are incredibly full and each have a sound of there own while still haveing the same basic sound that can be related to atb yet are still completely independant from his style. Also each song is mixed flawlessly making you wounder when the song you'd just been listening to ended. Even if your not a fan of ATB this cd is still a must have.

I bought this CD about 2 years ago, back when DJ favoritism was really bad. It still exists, but just isn't as bad, cause alot of DJs actually work together now when it comes to providing insight or producing and such.
This has always been a special CD in my collection, and I felt compelled to write a review after seeing someone gave it 2 stars I believe.
The track selection was great, but I knew this CD would get discredited some because ATB made this a DJ mix, and you can tell in the first couple of songs, it has an almost live feel, and he's using different types of transitions, as opposed to pushing something out via ableton live that is already beatmatched and doesn't need to use these DJing techniques. Don't get me wrong though, because I love mixes that have used that software, also. So I'm in no way being biased, I'm just saying at first, it will be something you aren't used to, but it is a true DJ mix, and you'll come to respect that as I did hopefully.

This is definately a treat from the usual ATB. This is one of my favorite two disc sets... truly amazing. Buy it, and enjoy the journey. You won't be disappointed when it's over!!

Emotional and stirring.......2005-08-11

This has to be one of the best trance albums ever, although slightly flawed. Disc one is a little weak after the first two tracks, but disc two is truly awesome, especially "Binary Finary" and "In My Dreams". Better than Tiesto, PVD, and Oakenfold. Why? Because it has emotion and has moments of pure bliss. This music makes me feel intelligent and young again. BTW, I am 52 years old (maybe you noticed I can spell)

Plain and simple,if you like Florida Breaks it doesnt get any better than this.This is the 1st breaks cd I ever heard and it will always remain my favorite.Why cant dj's put out dance albums like this anymore?This album is one for the car and the dancefloor,it's got enough bass to satisfy every listener.If your into dance music go get this album.

The Bass Queen Reigns.......2005-04-15

Baby Anne isn't my all-time favorite DJ for no reason. Her fusion of breaks, Miami bass, and keen sense of harmonics and selection make every one of her albums a must-have for any electronica lover. Even if you own no "techno" CD's, if you want something your head can't resist nodding to (at the very least), pick her up. This is the first of the finest line of mixed breaks out there.

hey if you like techno/bass/breakbeat/or just good music this disc will be in your cd player often. im on about my 10th copy cuz i give it so much play. the songs are all great, even the last tribal song is good. at a party nothing beats anne, it'll make you want to get your body movin(even if u cant dance), listen while your cleaning the house, or sit in the dark and go for a trip. highlights are tracks 1-11, every song is insane. my favorite is 6. pick up this cd before you think about getting any other techno album. even if u dont like techno give it a chance, you may like once you hear it this good.

I have to say that this one of the 1st cd's I ever rolled to,so of course im gonna like it,because its good stuff,and brings back the good memories.This is the album that got me into funky breaks to begin with.Def.recommended for a true techno lover.

This album's not quite as good as the first mix,but close enough.Just like mix 1,this one's also got that Florida bass and breaks sound ,she's famous for.Dance music lovers,go out and purchase this,you'll be dancing your ass off to the killer beats.

Baby Anne is the Queen of Bass........2003-03-28

This cd will capture you from the first song to the last, with brilliant bass rolls and perfectly placed breaks. Baby Anne cuts and scrateches like she was born to do it and if you don't listen to Baby Anne you are missing one of the best genres techno has to offer.

This is my favorite Baby Anne CD; that includes Dark Side of the Boom. This mix is a relentless bass and breaks mix album. I listen to dj mixes for the complete tone, overall meanings, emotionally moving continuity, mood, and total representation of the album. Of course I appreciate each individual track on an album, but if the mix lacks mood and meaning between the tracks, then I lose interest. (If I just wanted to hear some cools songs, I would by a compilation cd, or something.) Anyway, this album has all the neccessary ingredients to make it a classic and it is! It is fluid, the records all go well with each other, and play off each other in such a way that it highlights the best in each song; she takes you on a journey. This mix and the way it was mixed has style and skill, and more importantly the ability to listen to it over and over again.......it's so dope. 5 star for sure.

Not a Fan of this CD by Baby Anne.......2001-06-25

After purchasing Baby Anne's first CD, I kept an eye out for the second one. Well, I bought it without checking it out figuring that it would blow the first one away... This was a mistake! Baby Anne's "v5.1" sounds terrible on here, lots of background static. "She Said" is extremely repetitive. Remixes that I have heard of it are cool, though. "Get Into it" by Montana Rangers is cool, but find it elsewhere. "Body Movin" by Baby Anne is o.k., but find this elsewhere also. Do not waste your money on this one! Baby Anne is coming out with a new disc "Dark Side of the Boom" soon, and hopefully the "third time will be a charm". If my review was helpful, then don't forget to vote. THANKS!

Another hard hitting techno mix in this now prolific series........2007-02-08

Other mix series usually swap DJ's for every other mix, or sometimes it's the same DJ on the first disc, and then a different one for every disc 2. However, Sven Väth has taken upon himself to contiually mix his own 2 disc set in his now long running Sound of the Season mix series. With number 7, he comes out with his trademark, heavy hitting techno for disc 1, then lightens it up slightly with some tech house on disc 2. He lets a lot of tracks play very long, like Audion's Mouth to Mouth (which is itself an epic track to begin with), and culminating disc 2 with the stunning Middle Eastern vibe track India in Me by Cobblestone Jazz.

If you're looking for more jarring techno from Sven, this is another weighty installment in his mix series. By the way, the cover on Amazon is wrong, and the back cover artwork shown here is really what the cover looks like. Also, Amazon lists Konstantin Raudive as the artist on track 4, but it's actually by an artist named Oliver Ho, who goes by the name Raudive, and has nothing to do with Konstantin. This is actually my least favorite track on either disc, as the distorted child's voice just makes for one annoying track, even though the musical portion of the track is strong. One last note, the CD has an error in that it lists the Trentemøller track as Nam Nam, when it's actually Killer Kat.

This is German DJ and producer Gregor Tresher's third release for the Datapunk label. Tresher has rendered outstanding electro services with his project Sniper Mode, modernizing the formal style of electro. His two albums Wastelands (2002) and Travellers Beyond (2003) supplied the blueprint for the musical orientation of the Elektrolux sub-label, Mikrolux. Tresher is considered to be the hottest newcomer of the past year, in part due to the Still EP (2005) and the "Komm" remix of the Väth/Rother contribution to the Cocoon Compilation E -- Tresher achieved two tracks which received a place of honour in Sven Väth's DJ box and were included in his successful compilation, The Sound Of The Sixth Season. Tresher has rocked the best clubs in all of Europe in the past year, from London to Budapest, from Madrid to Athens, from Marseilles to Berlin. For this reason, Tresher selected for Neon - Works In The Mix, two independent formats which present both his role as producer as well as DJ equally. As Tresher says, "The freedom to be able to use elements like vocals or melodies has exquisitely expanded the spectrum of electronic dance music. For me, therefore, elektro has ... a fully new meaning and is no longer defined by 808 beats or vocoder vocals but rather stands for style-spanning and energetic electronic music, free of conventions and rules and expandable in every direction." Whereas the four exclusive new titles are found in unmixed form on the double 12", the CD edition presents these tracks with Tresher's entire Datapunk back catalog as a perfect DJ mix and thus really makes Tresher's musical development clear. From "Firebutton"'s classic vocoder-electro to the saw tooth attacks of "Doom" and "On" to "Still"'s Rhine-Main early '90s flavor, Datapunk predicts an excellent positioning for Tresher in all relevant annual charts for 2006.

Anybody who seriously likes techno should at least listen to this album (if not buy it). Never a dull moment, full of energy, with unexpected turns in mixing with computer sounds. I think I like this album the best out of all Sven Vath's works.

"Hola, Amigos Nocturnos de Ibiza".

Sven Vath's opening sample shows you exactly from the start: Sven and his label kicked off in Ibiza with one purpose: Give the audience the Tekno Headkick of their lives. Sven chose every track with intent to shock, amaze & entrance.

Once you hear the intro, you know your'e sucked in. The expose' takes little time to familiarize you with the simplistic side of Vath. Once track 3 kicks in, you can forget all about that.

From here on in, the mix takes through amazing scenarios and sometimes just gets you up on your feet, cold sweat on your forehead, raving off in the air, screaming for more. After the mix kicked in full gear, you can still hear a softer, chilly kind of sound, the one Vath never really shows on his album. A real treat, none the less.

Technasia appear twice on the album, a massive John Selway track appears, Alter Ego makes a visit, and the yet-undiscovered Si Begg, one of the best kept secrets in the Tekno-Elektro world, makes an appearance yet again with "Welcome to the discotheque".

Väth all the way.......2001-03-28

Wow! The first word that came up to me when i heard this mix cd. As we know mistah Väth is one of the bigger names in dj-land, and here he proves yet again why. It begins not to bangin' with nice electro tracks like Si begg's 'rock the discotheque'. But the tempo rises and rises, and as the cd reaches further along the big fat technobeats are giving the neighbours a very hard time. Nice thing is that all the familiar tracks from Sven's dj sets are heard on this cd, so just close your eyes and dream back to the last time when you heard this crazy dude spin live =) The only thing that I don't really like about the cd is Alter Ego - Betty Ford.. But that's my opinion. For the rest, if you like techno, this compilation is essential to your collection...!

Oh by the way, Wagon voller geschichten means Wagon full of mentally ill people
