Customer Reviews:
Outstanding!.......2003-09-30
I haven't heard her "Revolution in Me" album yet but i know it will hit stores soon. Siobhan Donaghy, ex-sugababe member, has indeed showed true talent in her songs like "twist of fate" and "overrated"...
Her vocals are unique, kinda trip-hoppy with some strength...
The song "Twist of Fate" has a pop/rock approach which is slightly different from the sugababes style of music yet it has nice sound effects and electric guitar parts that makes it more stylish than any of the Sugababes songs. It also has a slight tint of the sugababes in it because of the sound distortions at some parts. The overall tune is very catchy and i've yet to get tired of it...very melodious...
I really really recommend this single...
in addition, it comes with the video...it's a cool vid!
Maybe even purchase her upcoming "Revolution in Me" album...
Amazing under rated talent!.......2003-09-19
Whilst the media seem to hype up the UK's next big thing to 'make it' over in America, it always seems to be samish, boring r'n'b tripe. What the press is missing out on is a dazzling young talent from London named Siobhan Donaghy. An original member of Sugababes (she left in 2001 after a string of rows with the other members) but her music is much better than theirs.
This single 'Twist of Fate' is a wonderfully crafted pop rock single (not an Avril rip off though) with beautifully soulful vocals and a trippy beat. She reminds me somewhat of artists like Tori Amos and Paula Cole. Instead of purchasing this single try and get hold of soon to be released album 'Revolution In Me', it's absolutely stunning. If you can't find it, try downloading 'Twist of Fate', 'Over Rated' or 'Nothing But Song'. Trust me, she is worth your time.
