He was the First Hugely Influential Jazz Figure to Emerge from Europe, and is Considered the Most Influential European to this Day. His Original Style, Due to a Caravan Fire in 1928, Comes from Badly Burning his Left Hand which Deprived Him the Use of the Fourth and Fifth Fingers. This in Turn Made Him Come Up with a Unique Fingering System to Get around the Problem.
