Spanish Town Reggae includes the best and most innovative artists in a wide range of reggae styles (reggae, jazz reggae, dub, dancehall/ragga,...). The aim is to show an overview of who is playing reggae music in Spain. 34 different bands show their efforts in a 2 and a half hours double CD compilation, where quality has been the deciding factor to be included.
Veteran and well-established artists such as BDF-Basque Dub Foundation, La Puta OPP (Raggaflá), Naturals, Jah'Sta and Morodo are represented alongside and new up-and-coming acts like Super Ape, Ambassah and 12 Tribu.
This landmark compilation reaches us thanks to the ACR (Asociacion Cultural Reggae), an organization of fans of reggae music in Spain. Spanish Town Reggae is ACR's most ambitious project so far. All the profits will be used for other projects, like their webpage www.reggae-news.net, the SOS Jamaica project or the Spanish Reggae Guide.
