Given that this CD's music was originally recorded in 1960, the sound quality is surprisingly good. Agustin Lara, Pedro Vargas and the immortal Tona La Negra are heard singing some classic boleros accompanied only by Lara's piano. While I could have done without Lara's spoken introductions (and comments) to most of the songs this album is nonetheless a bolero essential.
