I own this wonderful album by this talented latin group. It's almost like Soul and R&B. This album has so many hits, like "Sweet Sexy Thing", "Heaven", "Baby Be There", "Soul To Soul", "Open Arms" I think I would have to name every song, they are all that good. They have been compared to the group Boys 2 Men. They have such silky voices, it makes you want to fall in love. The album has a lot of slow songs that could be used to show that special someone just how much they mean to you. I remember this came out when I was in high school and it brings back so many idealic ideas of love at that particular time. You can't go wrong with this album, it has many timeless songs about love. I will always be fan of NU FLAVOR!!!!!

Nu Flavor's eponymous album is a smash. I've had this cd for a while, and I was instantly attracted to their smooth harmonies.
Ths songs are muy caliente! Every track is hot. My ultimate favorites are "Heaven", "Baby, Be There", "Just For The Sex Of It", "On And On" and their rendition of "Open Arms". This cd rocks! If you want a well rounded cd with some spice, please get this!

I just saw them in concert in Phoenix, Arizona, and never really heard any other song then what is played on the radio, and seeing them in concert made me go buy their cd. Every song on the cd is great, and they are ohh, so fine.

Nu flavor is the bomb. Im really feeling Sweet Sexy Thang. I love that song and it is a hit around here. They have this sweet kind of melody going and there cd is on hit. Buy it its worth it.

if you're the type to sit around listening to great r&b songs that just take your breath away- definatly consider getting this one! the very first time i heard the song "3 little words" my boyfriend played it for me and from then on i just knew that nu flavor was the best ever and their songs will melt your heart! you have to get all of their cd's if you dont have them. if you only want one, get It's On! ya'll go get it now!

I was skeptical when i first bought this cd from this website, but after listening to it, I was glad I decided to purchase it. Songs 2-8 are awesome. The last song on the track is really different from their usual style, but I guess its alright.. 3 Little Words is perfect if you're into slowjams, as well as The Most Beautiful Girl. Their voices are so relaxing to listen to, and the style of their music is different from most music artists. 3 little words: buy, buy, buy.. hehe hope that helps u guys in making ur decision! =oP

I love this cd, its not as good as the first..but it does show some gowth from the last album. My favorite song on the album is called ''From This Day'' duet with Britney Spears, this songi s on Britneys new cd and i jiust love it..

Nu Flavor, son un gran grupo que mezclan el sonido latino, con el pop, funky y r&b, similares a otros como Barrio Boyz. Cuentan con una buena produccion, una version de Mariah Carey " hero" y una cancion escrita por Diane Warren.Sus voces no destacan por una gran fuerza o registros, pero disponen de unas voces melodicas bien comprenetadas, que hacen de Nu Flavor un grupo con un estilo propio.

I am an orphan of the 70's era who is in constant search of music to reminisce about the old block parties, live barbeques, open fire hydrants, one cent candy, lemon heads, chico sticks, etc. Nu Yorica 2 provides that feel and vibe that will blow the hinges off of your father's 1975 LTD convertable. From the first song to the last, Nu Yorica 2 is a phenomenal masterpiece.

This is some of the best traditional Latin music from New York, most of it has a true old fashined jazzy salsa feel and flavor to it. There is also soulful boogaloo, funk, some of the best Latin jazz I've ever had the pleasure of enjoying, and chants/drumming jam that sounds like the Afro-Rican bomba style (Druma Kuyi). It also commemorates the Afro-Latin elements of our music with dignity and pride and is therefore accurately described as ROOTS music, with a clear African flavor and stamp. If you're Afro-Rican, PLEASE get this! You'll definitely enjoy it!!!

This compilation serves as abundant proof for those who still need it that "fusion", in other words musical hybridization, happens whenever a collection of artists find themselves in a new situation and must respond in their own way. The "roots" of the title has a double meaning, then: it refers to the Cuban and Puerto Rican roots (at the very root is Africa) of this music, but it's also another perspective on the melting pot of New York City as reflected by its Latino musicians; though the fusion of influences here is more subtle than that heard on the original Nu Yorica! compilation, the stew boils with a similar popping viscosity (leading in some cases to a thermal breakdown.)

Many of the greats of Latin music are represented, among them Eddie Palmieri with one of his earliest masterpieces "My Spiritual Indian", which prefaces the bolder experiment of "Un Dia Bonita" (found on the original Nu Yorica set.) Percussion masters Mongo Santamaria and Tito Puente show up with seminal tracks, Tito's typically-ebullient and Mongo's typically-rootical, with the strong and beautiful raw chants and percussion of "Druma Kuyi."

Much of the most contemporary-sounding material comes when Latin and black idioms meet. Witness the opening "Together", a monster proto-funk jam pinned down by a sped-up montuno piano motif, or even Joe Bataan's bugulu "Riot (It's a Good Feeling)" which contains in its innocent party-flavored groove a commentary on the mood of the "wild guys" who have had enough and must throw a brick at something.

If the 60ýs and 70ýs were your time you would enjoy this CD and the documentary. If this was not your time, buy it anyway! Enjoy one of the flavors of your culture! Yo tengo nada mas que 20 aNos! The video goes from the migration of Puerto Ricans to USA, musica jibara, musica yoruba, bomba, plena, la danza, and they development of salsa from these in USA. The CD strictly has Salsa and the earliest Salsa Funk. It is a great compilation of the ýpioneersý of salsa. Ray Barretto, Tito Puente, Fania, Eddie Palmieri, Tipica 73, Joe Cuba, Lebron Brothers, Celia Cruz, Seguida, Jimmy Sabater, Ricardo Marrero & The Group.
