Surely Darlene Koldenhoven has one of the most beautiful female voices in the world. The song selections, the accompanying music and the quality of recording are supurb.

Infinite Voice is one of my favorite albums to pop into the player after a long and difficult day at work. Its soothing lightly classical pieces with Koldenhoven's angelic vocals do much to sooth an agitated spirit and sing peace to the soul. Wonderful Darlene! We need more like this.

A classically trained vocalist with a Master's Degree in music from the Chicago Conservatory College, the golden voiced Darlene Koldenhoven has participated in a number of high profile pop culture products. In the 1980's she appeared on jazz composer Clare Fisher's Brazilian jazz vocal project, Freefall, which was awarded a Grammy in 1986 for Best Jazz Vocal Performance by a Group. In the 90's she appeared in and served as choir director for both Sister Act films, and in 1994 sung with Yanni Live at the Acropolis, a concert film reportedly seen by nearly 500 million people worldwide. She has also sung on recordings with Celine Dion, Barbra Streisand, Pink Floyd, Rod Stewart, David Byrne, and Ramsey Lewis, among others, and has authored a set of musical instruction books and CDs entitled Train Your Voice.

In the late 90's Koldenhoven began writing and producing her own solo recordings, including the adult contemporary Keys to the World, a gospel album called Free to Serve, and the Christmas album Heavenly Peace. This year she's back with an all new recording, entitled Infinite Voice, a collection of classically inspired compositions and new age arrangements of classics. Ms Koldenhoven's 5-ocatve voice is the only one featured on this recording, in some places layered to give a choral effect. Most of the instrumentation is synthetic, though several songs include acoustic instrumental performances from guitar, English Horn, oboe, flue, didgeridoo, and percussion.

Infinite Voice is a delicate and beautiful recording that will appeal to fans of light classical vocals from the voices of equally talented singers such as Filippa Giordano, Hayley Westerna, or Sissel.

Marisela is a Latina woman that sings of love, passion and betrayal. Her lyrics are appropriate for those that have ever been in love and betrayed. However, her sentimental tone and voice offer a sense of consolation and healing for the broken heart. I highly recommend this artist's music to anyone that has ever been in love.

Marisela es una mujer Latina que canta de amor, pasion y traiciones. Sus canciones son apropiadas para esas personas que han estado enamorados y mal correspondidos. Aunque, su tono de voz, tan sentimental, ofrece algo de consolacion y sanacion para el corazon herido. Yo, altamente, recomiendo la musica de esta artista para todo aquel que a estado enamorado.

      Este disco esta hermoso, muy lindo. tiene un saborsito muy rico, lo hiso mas pop que los anteriores que eran mas baladas que nada, o el de voz y sentimiento que suena un poco grupero/norteño. pero este tiene muchas baladas ritmicas y unas movidas no tanto baladas que porsupuesto ella es magnifica para eso. pero hacia falta que cantara unas moviditas pop. espero que el proximo disco suene como este o hasta mas pop con unas gitarras electricas para suene muy fresco como este.

      en conclusion este disco es el mas bueno que tiene desde su regreso en el 96. porsierto para cuando el nuevo disco, ya lleva cinco anos sin nada.

      It's a shame Marisela doesn't promote her music in Mexico... she is the best singer i've ever listened to. Everytime I go to the music shop I always ask if there is something new from Marisela, finally "La Otra" came up. I have bought every single album she has released. The way she sings is unique... i spend hours playing and re-playing her music. Marisela: please come to Mexico... you would be surprised to see so many fans at your concert. and don't disappear from us please!!! I do love you!!!

      It's so great to have Marisela back with us. Thanks to Sony, she is finally getting her new material aired and promoted. I predict "Voy a Quitarme el Anillo" is going to be her first huge "hit" from this CD and there are 11 to follow. Congradulations to Marisela and to Sony for this perfect marriage... Keep that ring from Sony, Marisela. We all love and admire you. You are so beautiful to look at and you are so wonderful to listen to. Dont' ever leave us again. ONE of your MILLIONS of fans.       First of all, I am very excited to see a new Marisela CD (It was about time!) This CD follows the usual Marisela format, ballads which illustrate her great, ethereal voice. The title song,"Voy a Quitarme el Anillo" is awesome. Ballads like "El Baul de Los Recuerdos" and "La Otra" will definitely be to people's liking. The rhythmic, "Flechazo de Cupido" demonstrates Marisela's verstility with rhythm. I am absolutely enjoying this new musical production.
