Silvana's voice is beautiful, but the CD have only 3 great songs that were hits: Me muero por estar contigo; Palabras, palabras & Locuras tengo de ti. The rest of the songs are garbage. Don't waste your money on this terrible CD. If you like those hits, download them from an approved site and save your money.

SILVANA DI LORENZO, Argentina's Godly gifted supreme female pop vocalist may well be the Ninth Wonder Of The World to all who have been blessed to hear her wondrous recordings! Known to flawlessly sing in Spanish, Italian, and Portuguese, DI LORENZO was a Pop phenomenon in the Hispanic and Latin world of Pop Rock. This woman could have very well taken the entire world by storm if she'd been able to sing and record in English language during her 1970's and 80's heyday. Just listening to some of her hit singles included here, such as, ME MUERO POR ESTAR CONTIGO, QUE PASA ENTRE LOS DOS, PALABRAS-PALABRAS, DOMINGO DE NOCHE, YO TE NECESITO, LA PLAYA and possibly, her finest vocal epic[moment] - DIOS COMO TE AMO, to mention merely a handful, leaves the listener believing SILVANA could easily have conquered the universe with her expressive, impassioned & wide ranging vocal instrument which easily interpreted folk, pop and rock smoothly. A career spanning multi-Cd Box Set is long overdue, as is a reissuing and remastering of her complete musical catalogue. "20 SECRETOS DE AMOR" is a mere representation of her immense talent and, yes, there were many, many more hit singles and key album tracks, as she was an "album artist" whose LPs spawned dozens of radio/chart hits. The 20 tracks here - musical diamonds, pearls, rubies, sapphires and emeralds - are a timeless testament to her vocal talents. A more comprehensive overview of her classic era is the double disc 40 track "SILVANA DI LORENZO - RCA:100 Anos De Musica" anniversary compilation which includes many more of her innovative and historic hit singles not included here - yet, "20 SECRETOS DE AMOR" is a MASTERPIECE Greatest Hits Collection!

One of the Greatest albums ever made!.......1999-12-25
This is the definitive Jose Jose. Some of the most romantic songs ever written (thanks to producer/songwriter Manuel Alejandro, and his ingeneuos songs and arrangements) perfomed to perfection by Jose Jose. This album is the most beautiful I've ever heard, and it is Jose Jose's best selling album. I think if everyone heard this album, they would get hooked on Jose Jose. I would give it a million stars if I could. YOU HAVE TO HEAR THIS ALBUM! YOU'LL FALL IN LOVE WITH IT!
P.S. If you're also looking for Emmanuel, there is a box set of "Secretos" with Emmanuel's "Intimamante" (both the original Manuel Alejandro productions) Go Check it out! The album is called "Los Romanticos del Siglo", it's 2 CD's,and it's sold here at Amazon for about the same price as this album. It's this exact same album (with a miniature picture of this album on the cover coupled with Emmanuels), with a bonus CD! But if you're looking only for Jose Jose, get this "Secretos" album. (Besides, I only here one song on the Emmanuel album and it's "Todo se derrumbo dentro de mi". An absoultely beautiful song that is certainly worth more than the extra dollar for this BOX set. But I always end up hearing "Secretos" all the time!)

Absolutely Delightful.......2004-05-24
"Song of David" is the CD that introduced me the vast world of Jewish music, taught me there is more to it than klezmer and "Hava Nagila," and served as the catalyst for my evergrowing collection of Jewish music from around the world. The music selections and recording quality are superb.
A Song of David: Music to my heart.......2003-01-01
I own and enjoy several other CDs of Sephardic music, but this one is my favorite. The melodies are poignant, lively and celebratory. I don't speak Spanish, but to listen and suddenly hear familiar Hebrew phrases and words emerge makes me feel connected to the Jewish communities that flourished in Spain a thousand years ago.
My only complaint is that the lyrics as sung don't always match with the lyrics as printed. Syllables and letters seem to be missing from the printed version.

Son varios los compilados de Valeria, pero en todos podemos encontrar alguna perlita: tangos, baladas, ritmos bailables, todos se lucen por ese inmenso caudal de voz inconfundible que la convierte en la mejor cantante latina de ayer, hoy y siempre. "Sin Piedad" es un dueto que grabó con Jorge Serrano, cuya melodía es bellísima. La versión pop de "Canción con Todos" es muy original y la canta con todo!!!

Best of Compilation from One of the Major Acts of the Spanish New Wave Scene. Los Secretos was Formed in 1980 by Brothers Javier, Enrique, and Alvaro Urquijo, who Where Joined by a Temporary Drummer. In 1988, after They were Joined by Keyboardist Jesus Redondo, the Band Issued a Live Record, Called Directo, the First One to Achieve Gold Status. Los Secretos Disbanded by the End of the 1990s.
