MIGUEL FLETA IS THE MOST INTERESTING TENOR I HAVE EVER HEARD. I ENJOY HIS ART FROM TIME TO TIME.

THE FIRST FIVE SELECTIONS ON THIS DISC CAPTURE HIS 18TH-19TH CENTURY VOCAL TECHNIQUE (later named bel canto)AT ITS BEST AND IT ENABLES HIM TO VARY NOT ONLY HIS DYNAMIC RANGE IN EXTREMES BUT ALSO HIS TONAL COLOR. HE HAS ASTOUNDING AGILITY. HE HAS A VERY LARGE VOICE STRONG ON THE TOP AND THE BOTTOM. HOWEVER, WHEN HE SINGS VERISMO AND FORTE, HE LOSES SOLIDITY AND INTONATION.

IT SEEMS THAT HE DID NOT PERFECT THE BEL CANTO TECHNIQUE WITH REGARD TO BREATHING AND HIS FABLED PIANI AND DIMINUENDI OFTEN SWITCH REGISTERS AUDIBLY AND WOBBLE THEIR WAY HOME. YET HE SINGS WITH GREAT HEART AND AFFECTINGLY.

Los Bukis were known in Mexico and a few other places until 1984 when Que Lastima came out, as well as the whole Yo Te Necesito album. Y Para Siempre was the album that made them even more legendary, and especially in dealing with their following in the U.S. They were nominated for a Grammy but lost to Linda Rondstant. The album featured the wondrous songs of Motivate {an old Rock and Roll type of song with modern twists} and the melodic ballad of Como Fui Enamorarme De Ti, as well as the beautiful A Donde Vas. Mi Pobre Corazon is a Polka like song when Guapa is a Tropical song, in a dance form, when Dime Que Si is a love ballad that was written by El Chivo Cortez, who was the Bassist of the band. That was the only song on the album to not be written by Marco Antonio Solis.

El compita Adan "Chalino" Sanchez fue un gran artista lleno de carisma y nos dejo su musica para que viva por siempre. En verdad que este CD tiene canciones super lindas y que cualquiera se puede relacionar con ellas.
