        Not her best cd. Not a totally bad effort either.
        From my point of view, when artists obviate what they do best and go out in search other horizons, the effort generally fails. It has happened in this case. At times, it's hard and dangerous to try to refresh a career with the wrong elements.
        In this case, Ms. Ramos doesn't mix with big brass orchestras and even less with the arrangements included in the album. Although she's Cuban, that doesn't necessarily mean that she HAS to sing son or mambo or chachacha. Doing so would be a phallacy. There's so much territory she could cover other than Benny's reportoire. For instance, I'd love to hear her sing in French, Italian and Portuguese. Another idea: Although she's bordered and at times sung in the key of Feeling, she has not devoted a cd to this variant of the Cuban trove. And for that matter, it may be a good idea to bring back some of Elena Burke's songs, some of the best of Moraima before she became tacky, or some of the best of Meme Solis, Pablito or Frank Dominguez.
        Also, at times the habit she has of singing so softly -my ear missing some of the last syllables of a phrase- is unbearable. It seems as if she were singing to herself by aspirating the words. It's noticeable in all her albums.
        My last question is: What's with Ms. Ramos emulating iconic Cuban singers like Bola de Nieve and Benny More? One could think that she's comparing herself with them.

          Este es un disco muy bueno de Miguel Mateos, donde aparecen canciones brillantes y espetaculares.

          Un disco que tiene guitarrista como Jenifer Batten de Michael Jackson... Tambien hay temas excelentes como : "Lagrimas bajo la lluvia" (el primer tema sobre el indulto) , "Malos pensamiento" (con incursiones tangueras) y "Voy a juntar mis pedazos".
