Christopher Lawrence completely destroys the decks with this amazing mix-album. But don't take my word for it. You simply must hear if for yourself!! Enjoy!

5 out of 5 stars Great energy!!.......2007-06-13

Everytime i play these tracks... i want to head out to the club. CL does a fantastic job of deliving a club-like songlist to your ipod.... each song builds on the last, and this 2 disc comp leaves you wanting more!!

5 out of 5 stars A Must Have for Fans of Christopher Lawrence.......2007-05-31

If you like progressive techo or a fan of Christopher Lawrence, you must get this album. The whole album is just great. It keeps you wanting more. Every song was excellent. I would have to say this his best work so far.

5 out of 5 stars A release as it should be!.......2007-05-10

This was an excellent set! Both discs are solid, really no intros, he just gets down to business. Sound quality is superb. Anyone normally leary of buying released material, and rightfully so, will not ne disappointed with this album. The only complaint I have is that it was not 3 or 4 discs. Defintely buy this album!

5 out of 5 stars Simply the best.......2007-04-10

Its one of the best cd's of 2007 so far . From the beginning to end goes BaaaNG, R0Cks.

Album Description

When Orbital first took the stage at Glastonbury-on July 25th 1994-they arrived with a reputation as innovators of live electronic music and armed with a recently completed album no one outside of their studio had heard. By the time they had finished what has since been critically and generally acclaimed as one of the greatest live performances of all time it was clear that there was something going on between Orbital and Glastonbury that went beyond the realms of just being in the right place at the right time. In ten years Orbital would return to Glastonbury five times, delivering stunning, euphoric performances that stretched the possibilities of what a `Dance act was capable of bringing to the live arena-both visually and sonically- and providing the defining moment for several hundred thousand people's midsummer weekends. For those who missed it, and for those who were in the thick of it every time, this is a two CD collection of the best of these performances. 16 tracks.

This DVD compiles the footage and audio from one of the best artists of their time. They compleatly reconstructed the way electronica was. Their performances at the Glastonbury were legend and now you can see and hear them on a collection of 3 (count em) 3 discs! The 2 audio cds include alot of their best songs and some you are yet to discover, (Some of which have some interesting improv integrated in them.) The DVD is all of the live footage of the songs. Put together in a sort of mezmerizing way. If you love orbital this DVD is a must have for you. It transends their Legendary music with live footage that (for some) is a memory on hard-copy. Cheers to Orbital!

5 out of 5 stars Better than I thought.......2007-06-09

I originally bought this album for one specific track I heard on an online music stream. I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed this album. It has been a while since I found an album that I enjoy from beginning to end without having to skip passed a song or two, or worse more. If you love to be moved by great tracks from house, progressive, and some breaks then hopefully you'll enjoy this CD as much as I do.

5 out of 5 stars Put Your Hands Up for Chicago!!!.......2007-04-06

Perfect, this is exactly what I needed just coming off of Winter Music Week down in South Miami Beach. This is a sick package!!! The dopest peak hour club sounds and a live DVD from club dates at some of the best nights out in the US? Bad Boy Bill holds it down! Key cuts in the mix include tracks by Peace Division, John Dahlback, Cajmere, and the Bad Boy himself. A must have.

1 out of 5 stars Are you kidding me?.......2007-03-29

I'm not sure where the previous reviews are coming from. And don't think that I mistakenly picked up a Bad Boy Bill release without knowing who he is. I became aware of Bad Boy Bill waaayyyy back during his Bangin The Box 1 cd. However, he has never seemed to progress with the trends of electronic house music. Perhaps he is just "keepin' it real" since his music sounds very similar to what it did way back then.

I find it annoying and very non enjoyable. This is not House Music.

5 out of 5 stars such a great DVD!!!.......2007-01-14

He does a great job on this one~! You almost feel like you are in the room with him and the Hot Chicks!!! Great purchase... makes you want to dance and play at parties! Definately worth the money!

5 out of 5 stars off the hook.......2007-01-12

It was different than all of Bill's earlier beats, but listening to it a bunch of times I was craving it.. good music indeed

Customer Reviews:

2 out of 5 stars Not worth the price.......2006-03-17

The CD is very nice and quite relaxing. However, the cost is outrageous compared to value of the CD. For the amount of money I expected much more from such a talented artist. If you are considering purchasing the CD do not pay more than $15.00 for new.

5 out of 5 stars The Best Live Album of the 90's.......2004-10-21

This the best live album that I have ever purchased and probably my favorite album ever. My complaint is, just like I read from another reviewer, this cd is too short. This is a special performance from a special musician. If you love live music this is a must have.

5 out of 5 stars The New Godfather of Soul.......2004-05-06

If you are a D'Angelo fan like myself, this CD is a must-buy. Listening to D'Angelo is something more than just passing time. His songs and lyrics are timeless. Although the CD is somewhat short for its price-tag, it is worth every penny. I've never seen D'Angelo live, so this CD gave me a chance to find out if it's just the studio that makes him sound so good. Well, it's not. His raw talent shines through in every song. His soulful lyrics and soothing voice make the songs come alive. Unlike many "R&B" artists, D'Angelo exudes real emotions. You can feel it.

5 out of 5 stars Brown Sugar got me open and now I want some mo!!.......2003-01-09

I just got this CD as a present and damn if it didn't have me logging on to Amazon.com doing a search for D'Angelo and crossing my fingers hoping that there would be a new release listed for him.
I've seen "D" live more recently for the Voodoo album and he's EXCELLENT. I'm even more in awe by this live session because he was somewhat new to the scene. In my opinion the true talent of an artist is how well he or she performs live, having made that statement he's is truly talented much like Prince is so awesome live, so is Babyface, so is Me'shell NdegeOcello; get the picture. But I digress... buy this CD and I guarantee you it will stay in heavy rotation and you'll be logging onto Amazon.com hoping like I did.

5 out of 5 stars Love-test this CD tonight, it is too sexy for words!.......2002-12-08

This is CD is absolutely worth the import price tag. Do not hesitate, after all, you only live once. D'Angelo is ahead of his time, and talented beyond words. His back-up singers here (and this was recorded back in 1995) are Angie Stone and Karen Bernod, both established artists in their own right today. I can't say enough about this CD, having listened to it non-stop for a week.

Just buy it! It will tide you over until his next release.

5 out of 5 stars a classic.......2006-12-16

This set is one of the best and also a classic set of Tiesto's. His track selection was great for this one. If you listen to it and you are in the right mood, you will get goosebumps when you hear the crowd . If you have been to any great party, concert, or event when the crowd cheers and you get goosbumps...then you will know what I mean.

4 out of 5 stars A solid release, but it's live all right.......2006-09-25

At first I too found the occasional audience noise distracting if not outright annoying, especially on the quieter parts, but after several listens I don't notice the crowd as much. I would have preferred the audience to be excised completely from the recording but what are you gonna do? Because this is a really good cd with an excellent choice of tracks and a very good flow and vibe to it I recommend it. DJ Tiësto proves once again why he is considerred a top DJ (MUCH better than that Amin Van Urine clown). Just beware of the audience noise.

5 out of 5 stars Takes a while.......2006-09-21

By the third track, this album should have engulfed you. If not, I don't know what to tell you. The transitions aren't that smooth, but there is a classic feel to this album.

5 out of 5 stars One of the best trance cd's ever!.......2006-07-16

This is a very nice set! All of the tracks are really good and I highly recommend it. Take it from someone who knows their electronic music. A must have!!

5 out of 5 stars Everything he's done and why he does it!.......2006-04-27

The reason why Tiesto is and always will be the best Trance DJ on the planet is because he does not do it for money its because he loves the music and the way it affects the people he plays it for. Its all about the music and always will be. every mix or album he has put together or mixed is emotional thats why its so good.

5 out of 5 stars Five stars for the Cher mix alone..........2005-06-18

Disc 1 is mostly for the dark, repetitive tribal lovers. As if to prove how boring some of these songs can be, some tracks last for only a minute or two. Basically, I woke up at track 15, and from there to 18, there was something worth dancing to.

Disc 2 gathers some great tracks, including some junior exclusives. The main reason to get this ENTIRE disc is for the brilliant Junior mix of Cher's Sun Ain't Gonna Shine in its full length. I only wish he had done that with some of the other exclusives on here, rather than giving us short versions of say, Deborah Cox, and then giving us near 10 minutes of the commercially available Dolly Parton. And what's worse, you think junior would have clean versions of his own mixes. Who Do You Love and Sun Ain't Gonna Shine are both plagued by pops in the vinyl. This is tragic, especially considering these were not released commercially. Even so, this is the only place to get Cher, so put up with the pops at the beginning of the song and just enjoy the mix. Track times are:

5 out of 5 stars One of the best........2003-04-11

Vasquez's innovative perception of what music should sound like. His twisted and creative talent has made this a must own to any techno/club head!

4 out of 5 stars Underground sound............2001-03-09

I've never had the pleasure of seeing Junior mix live so I'm reviewing this as a person that's only heard his cd's. Since most people didn't hear him do his thing live in NYC clubs, this review may apply to the average non-NYC resident. This cd set is strictly underground (stuff you'll never ever hear on the radio), so if you're looking for some "popular" house music you should probably look elsewhere. That said, this is an excellent addition to any house collection. The beats are booming and flow together nicely with a kinda Trance tone. In summary, the best way I can describe this 2CD set is that, the music won't make you run to the dancefloor but if you're already out there this mix will keep you dancing. The only selection that would force me to put down a drink and run to the dancefloor is "Fly Life" by Basement Jaxx. Other than that there are no real hits in this set. It's not a CD set to define house music by, but is certainly a nice "addition" to an already existing collection.

5 out of 5 stars Junior Vasquez has released this MUST HAVE CD!!!.......2001-01-28

I have tons of CD's containing this type of music. But this CD is the best in my collection. Unlike other DJ's, Junior Vasquez has somehow managed to put together an array of songs, no two sound alike!!!! I have friends who are dance instructors, and this has become a MUST HAVE in their collections as well! I would definately suggest purchasing this double CD set!

5 out of 5 stars Superb, as Junior always is........2000-05-16

This CD is some of Junior's finest spinning. Upon it's debut, this compilation was spun over a TWILO on Saturday night back in 98 and it was pumping back then. This cd shows junior's flawless remixing style and gives a taste of the tribal style that he has mastered. As a resident DJ at Twilo on Saturday evenings, and as the old resident DJ at the once superior Sound Factory, he has withstood the test of time. Those of you who love this cd, look for his imports, they make this cd seem a bit simple. One of his best compilations is Junior live from Germany and London. He pushes the envelope there as he does for us in this beautiful city.

Junior will always keep our city pumping.

if you like trance you might like it better than me as i'm more of a house fan but i only found two tracks out of both cds that i liked.

5 out of 5 stars Dance Club Heaven.......2005-08-20

Excellent dance music and remixes of several songs include Madonna. Stuff to clean the house to, to party to, to enjoy.

3 out of 5 stars Not my fav.......2005-08-17

Peter is my fav DJ/Producer, and I'm on a mission to have a complete *69 label collection, but I would recommend a previous Roxy disc if you can't buy them all.

1 out of 5 stars Cheeseballs.......2005-08-15

Disc 1 - cheese, cheese and more cheese. Cheesey synths and fluffy basslines. Weak disc.

Disc 2 - some good tracks on this disc. Has more of a big room sound and a nice progression from track 1-13.

4 out of 5 stars Rauhofer FINALLY finally fixes this series..........2005-08-12

Track 1 is a good sign of things to come on volume 4. It is a surprise to find rauhofer starting with something so strong for a change. Although disc 1 is short on vocals to brake up the monotony of the instrumentals (track 4 is a standout), the song selection is surprisingly energetic, considering all his other volumes have been sleep inducing. The real reason to get this disc is for unreleased tracks like the Rauhofer mix of Madonna (nearly 10 minutes long) and the Rauhofer mix of David Morales on disc 2, which also features a handful of strong vocal tracks. This second disc is by far offers the closest thing to a peak hour feel at the Roxy of all the discs on all 4 volumes. Track times are:

DJ Baby Anne brings the nu breaks style to Las Vegas for Mixed Live, part of the Moonshine label's ongoing series of recorded live sets. Like past entries in the series from Carl Cox and AK1200, Baby Anne's dirty, intensely danceable sound works well in this format, effectively conveying the kinetic energy of her act. A combination of breakbeats, drum & bass, and old-school techno, nu breaks has an organic, retro feel that Baby Anne gets just right. Tracks like Sharaz's "Brain Damage" and Merlyn's "Solar Flares" share minimal textures with snap-and-crackle beats, while Baby Anne's self-produced "Down To Zero" flirts with Fischerspooner-like electro. She's also willing to get evil for darker material like "Nightmare 2002," which gives her set some variety, and the crowd a chance to gather itself for the next big break. As a further bonus, the CD comes with a 5.1 Surround Sound DVD, to give you an even stronger "you-are-there" feel. --Matthew Cooke

Album Description

Club Ra, located in the Luxor Hotel on the Las Vegas Strip is one of the city's premiere venues. Baby Anne laid down her signature Big Breaks sound to a packed house on February 28th, 2003. We were there to record the mix and capture the crowd reaction from all corners of the club. The end result is another unique installment of the world's only truly live dj-mix series in 5.1 Dolby Digital Surround Sound - Mixed Live

5 out of 5 stars Confusion.......2006-01-30

Which song on this cd has the lyrics welcome to the state of confusion?????????????????? Listened to the cd a long time ago at a party and thats the only one that sticks out in my brain.

5 out of 5 stars Awesome.......2005-06-05

One of the best breaks cd's I own. Tracks 1,4,7,9,and 11 could make an awesome cd alone.

5 out of 5 stars This is the Nu Skool .......2005-05-11

If your used to hearing other Baby Anne albums, you will notice that this one is slighty different. On this live album, the bass queen uses the "Nu Skool"type of breaks which features old school techno mixed with breakbeats, creating an awesome bass monster of an album. What makes this cd so good,is that it was recorded live at RA in Las Vegas, and the crowd screaming in the background really adds life to this mix.If you like dance music, you want this cd.

3 out of 5 stars Mediocre at best........2004-02-16

WTF is going on with my beloved Bass Queen??

The last two cd realeases have been weak in comparison with the first 3.

I remember the release of Bass Queen vol.1, it was like a breath of fresh air. It would turn my car/home into a local club(New Orleans). This is true no longer.

Once a never miss a local gig Baby Anne fan, I do not intend to go out of my way to see her play here. Her recent set at the House of Blues was lame in my opinion.

Maybe I'm expecting too much, or maybe Im still caugh in the breaks sound I so loved in 1998-2001 but something is definitely wrong here.

The few decent tracks on this live mix cd were played out long before the release of this mix. Maybe it is because breaks are so popular in my local clubs that this did nothing to move me, but 5 stars some of you, gimme a break!

Bass Queen, what happened? Is it your fancy new record label contract? Come on, you can tell us. Why are you releasing these cds?????????

5 out of 5 stars If you like break beat it does not get any better than this!.......2004-02-01

I have been a fan of Baby Ann since she broke out through Icey. I think this is by far one one the best mixes she has ever put together. It will make your subs beat and you hi's scream. Very awesome.

5 out of 5 stars Petty Rocks.......2003-09-17

I've always thought that studio albums don't even compare with live performances. I've also always loved Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers. But even I was astounded at how great "The Last DJ" sounds live. From the opening notes of the title track to Mike Campbell's solo on "Lost Children" to the final chords of "Can't Stop The Sun", Tom and the Heartbreakers sound incredible. It's almost like listening to a completely new album. And that's not all. The band goes on to play classics including "Change of Heart" and "I Need To Know", then closes with a ten-minute-long "Mary Jane's Last Dance" and a "You Wreck Me" encore.

Unfortunately, the editing is poor. In some songs the camera changes every three seconds. Some shots don't last for more than half a second. Occasionally the camera will slow down for a minute to watch Tom sing or to pan across the stage, but it doesn't happen often enough. One of the longest shots is of a woman in the audience singing along to two verses of a song. Who knows what's happening on stage. Also, the lighting on some camera shots leaves a lot to be desired. In other places, however, the colors and lighting effects are awesome. Overall, the quality of the music makes the camera problems seem minor.

The extra features are hardly worth mentioning: two TV commercials promoting "The Last DJ" album and some random outtakes of Tom making a video.

As of this time, Amazon hasn't included a track listing, so...
The Last DJ - Money Becomes King - Dreamville - Joe - When A Kid Goes Bad - Like A Diamond - Lost Children - Blue Sunday - You And Me - The Man Who Loves Women - Have Love Will Travel - Can't Stop The Sun - Change Of Heart - I Need To Know - Shake Rattle And Roll - Around And Around - Mary Jane's Last Dance - You Wreck Me

The bonus CD features four songs from the band's appearance on PBS's Soundstage program:
I'm Crying - Done Somebody Wrong - I Got A Woman - Carol

If you own the Soundstage DVD, it's hardly worth the extra six dollars.

So, what more do you want? It's Tom Petty live. Buy it.

3 out of 5 stars has a special cut on it.......2007-03-31

"sunrise at palamos" is one of the most beautiful trance instrumental "anthems" i've ever heard

5 out of 5 stars (TEAR).......2006-09-23

I think I'm falling in love with Tiesto. Ahh.. the first album I heard of Tiesto. Still of my favorites by him. Epic and amazing. To say otherwise is slander.

3 out of 5 stars For Tiesto fan's only, not his best, but decent.......2006-01-08

This album is a nice mellow listen and is not really typical of a Tiesto live set. Most of his sets are very different, however, this mix seems a little planned. The reason why is it is almost identical to the Virgin label release of Revloution: The Brightside disc. It is nice to hear the crowd as it is not overbearing on this cd. The tracklisting is not anything spectacular, but the mixing for the most part is decent. I wouldn't recommend it as a first time Tiesto purchase. For that, I would purchase any of the first three In Search of Sunrise cd's or Majik 6, Live From Amsterdam. It is a nice cd to listen to as backfround music, but not a classic like the aforementioned mixes.

5 out of 5 stars Another great live set from Tiesto.......2005-11-22

Here is another great set from the Dutch DJ. This CD takes you on a ride from start to finish through mountains of flowing and thumping music. Great tracks from Jan Johnston, Ballroom, Insigma, The Auranaunt and Utah Saints are played in a live session in Los Angeles "just to help you get your groove on". Prepare for a wild ride and beat from Tiesto in this set.

2 out of 5 stars First time fans passover this cd........2004-04-20

I'm a huge Tiesto fan. This would not be the case had this CD been my introduction to him. The Jan Jackson vocals are downright annoying. The tone is depressive and even the beats felt like they were aiming to make me suicidal. I don't know how this mix, being live, could have kept the ravers dancin.
