Aqui esta la bachata vol 3 has a lot of variety if you wish to sample different types of bachata. I remember when I first listened to it I was surprised that it was so diverse. There are songs from artists who each have a unique bachata rhythm, voice and style. These compilations give you the opportunity to sample the songs first before buying the album and then getting stuck with a cd that you don't care for. In general the bachatas on this compilation are quite slow, not for dancing at all so if your looking for the more fast paced style try another volume. This is true "amargue" and "penas". Overall the selections are appropriate. The common songs are: Mi papa, Si supieras, Hasta cuando, Por un chin de amor and El amor da vida. I do not think these songs went platinum but they should be known to loyal bachata followers. Overall a nice album to have especially if you are collecting the series.

This is the first cd by the now well-know series Aqui esta la bachata. This cd has bachata songs from the best of the best and now after many years have become internationalized and popular among bachata fans everywhere. I have classified this album as magical and mystical because of the ambience that is created when listening to this cd. The bachatas are of the genre "bachata tropical" but also are very romantic and traditional in style which makes you reminisce about the past and situates you in a very specific place in time that hopefully brings good memories. The cd was well compiled by Platano Records with original hits from some of best artists today and as well what makes a series such as Aqui esta la bachata always intriguing is that many of the best bachateros are under the Platano Record label therefore the best of the best are on stage at the same time. The album is enriched with some classics such as: Corazon Bonito, Si tu carino no esta, Nereyda and Voy pa'lla. If you have never heard bachata before this album would definitely be a good start and intro to this unique rhythm from the Dominican Republic that has taken many years to become accepted and popular both locally and around the world but as the title states "Aqui esta la bachata"and it's here to stay !

Ok, out of the 6 bachata compilation records that I own, this one is my fave! This has a good variety of bachatas and cha-cha's. Most of these are easy to dance to, but what sticks out the most is that it ranges in style (old tunes but with modern twists mainly). If you must own 1 bachata record, then I'd reccomend this one to you.

Plain and simple a must have. This CD has some of the best songs in bachata thus far from Patano Records. From Voy Pa' Ya to Soñe Con Ella from Anthony "El Mayimbe" Santos. You also get the two greatest songs from "El Casique" Raulin Rodriguez, Medicina de Amor and Nereyda. And five others plus the two mega mixes that I don't havethe space to praise. The best part is that they are all remixed. So if you have already heard the songs before, this time they are a bit different.

    This was the first bachata cd I purchased many years ago and it had an impact on me. These songs will never grow old because the artists are great and some the songs have become all time favorites. This series by Platano records always start off with one song by el Mayimbe- Antony Santos and the second by Raulin Rodriguez; two bachata giants. The rest of cd includes other popular artists who are also fine representatives of this rhythm that is exclusive to the DR. The whole album is good, the non bachata rhythms could have been omitted but over all this is a terrific compilation cd. It includes the big hits of the day such as: Por mi timidez, Medicina de amor, Que vuelva and Corazon Culpable.

        Me gusta muchísimo lo que hizo Plátano Records en esta cuarta producción de la serie 'Aquí está la bachata". En primer lugar el disco no tiene ninguno de esos merenbachatas que por lo general no me gustan. También todas las bachatas son éxitos y canciones bien conocidas de los diferentes artistas que están en este disco. Hay muchas compilaciones de la bachata en el mercado y a veces uno no sabe cuál comprar pero ésta es muy buena porque
        tiene lo mejor de los grandes de este género musical. Yo diría que la bachata es más para escuchar que para bailar porque son muy suaves con temas que te llegan al corazón. Sin embargo, si quieres bailar por supuesto es posible también. El disco tiene canciones de Antony Santos, Raulín Rodríguez, Luis Segura y del Canario del Amargue (Jorge Ferreira) que son bachateros muy renombrados en la República Dominicana, Miami y Nueva York. Sería muy bueno comprar este disco si no tienes una gran colección de la bachata porque todas las mejores canciones de ese año están en un sólo disco.
